far better—this version doesn’t compare. It’s falling apart, the buttons barely work, and the false alarms never stop. Customer service is awful too; they don’t bother reading your email or asking about the problem to improve their product. Instead, they just offered me a discount on another poorly made device. Both the quality and support are a letdown.
Don’t waste your money and time.
Totally worthless product, my 7 month old who is not even standing up can push it around , defeating it purpose. Communication is the worse one. The seller is refusing to take it back and refund . Show details

guarantee youll have to go and wake your bubs up. Also I think they could have done far better with the app, you can not set upper and lower limits for alarms so if youre monitoring you can almost be certain youll be up all night watching. Also it takes sometimes 40 minutes to calculate a skin temp baseline which absolutely sucks for those arvo naps. Honestly I would look elsewhere. The lady at baby bunting actually gave me the number for oricom when I purchased it assuming im not the only person that can't predict the missing information from the instruction manual

that was. Wish I had someone to talk me out of it.
A few points to keep in mind * Faulty strobing/flickering night light. Disruptive to child’s sleep. (Strobing/flickering not a feature)(Would occur without nightlight feature being used at all) This issue occurred within a few months of receiving each replacement.
* Temperature sensor is extremely inaccurate. Ended up using a separate Bluetooth thermometer. Regular warnings of High Temperatures when it was not even close.
* Motion detection was hit and miss at best. For example, Child fell out of bed a couple of times and it wasn’t captured at all.
* Monitor speaker - is very poor quality. Suppose to play lullabies and noises. Comes out as a very static sounds. The ability to speak to your child through the camera is incoherent, if heard at all.
* Separate monitor display has a poor battery life and if slow to turn on.
Oricom will not provide a refund despite reoccurring issues with every replacement. They continue to push their rubbish product until your warranty is up.
Do yourself a favour avoid Oricom entirely. You will not get the support you would expect when the time comes from such a big company.
Essential! – The Dream Baby extra-tall swing closed baby safety gates are a must have. They’re so easy to install and are perfect for containing children and pets. We have two in our home and they still keep my 3yo out of too much mischief.

APPALLING (and is all handled offshore so no regional support, and US customer service is the absolute worst, they literally do not care). They were zero help, and refused to offer any solutions other than purchasing a new device at $500 (and refused to even offer a discount). They discontinue their products frequently then refuse to provide support for them and force you to buy a new one. If the customer service is this bad I hate to think how inaccurate the device actually is. Zero customer service at this price point is not acceptable. I am honestly astounded I’ve never had such a bad customer experience in my life.

great and it doesn't feel like you're putting your little one in 'baby jail' because there's lots of space for them to look through (no bars or mesh). Ours has the extension pack, and we have it set up in a rectangle 7 panels x 4 panels (about 188cm x 111cm) with a couple of panels left over. It creates a decent sized space for our mobile-but-not-yet-walking son to play in, and we use it with a foam play mat underneath. Not having a gate has been the only drawback, as you need to be able to climb over the panels to get in to the playpen or bend over them to lift your little one out if they're not standing yet. The panels are about 2ft or 61cm high, which is actually quite difficult if you have a bad back or knees. Other than that, we're very happy and would recommend the playpen to friends and family.

flexible material and escape. This gate also has transparent windows which allow her to see through; we think this helps her feel less anxious about sounds coming from the other side of the gate.
We have it hinged on one end and pressure-fit on the other, as it was cumbersome to manually place/remove the gate every time when using pressure-fit on both ends. It's easy to remove from the hinge mounts though should it be temporarily needed in a doorway.
Adjusting the width of the gate requires a bit of practice, but holds the chosen width setting very securely.
The only shortcoming I've found is that there can be quite a gap when the latch-side pressure pads are fully extended. This gap (between the upper and lower pads) is wide enough for a puppy to escape, but as this is a product designed for babies, it can't be considered a design flaw.
Snuza Pico

absence of breathing... Snuza Pico is the only reason we sleep. It is currently ticking away next to me, and the sound is so soothing.
Easily attaches to bubs nappy, I attach it to her front, right to the side and it works perfectly, also works better with a onsie than top and bottoms, I suggest tucking shirt into pants if you go this route as clothes can get in the way of the monitor. Turn on and off with my phone from the very easy to use app, monitoring her breathing rate, temperature, sleep state and position, you can set your own alarm boundaries, you can chart their temp, breathing, position and sleep state all from the app.
It has alarmed a few times for her not breathing, so I can tell you its definitely worth the investment. She's nearly 6 months old now, and we will definitely be using Pico for a long time to come.
This Pico has also roused her a dozen times when she had no movement for 15 seconds. Very long battery life, easy click in charging in the secure charging unit. I bought hers second hand, and it is ticking on no worries.can be used without the app too. One downside (if there is one) is that the connection is soft, it can drop out easily, but links back up asap.

in December 2022. The same thing happened again and the battery lasts less than 10 minutes. The product page advertises it can last up to 6 hours. I don't think this is an acceptable standard of quality for an expensive product from a reputable brand. I don't think it is fit for purpose. If I had know this was to be expected I wouldn't have bought this product and now have to find a suitable product. We are currently using the product on mains power only, since the expanded battery is not safe. That does not allow us to go outside or move around the house as we normally would. We have just bought a Tweetycam after reading lots of reviews. I expected a baby monitor would last until I no longer needed it.
The picture isn't particularly clear and the touchscreen is fiddly.

Annoyingly the camera doesn’t charge, it has to be plugged in to work. This really limits portability and where you can use it and isn’t reflected on the website or in the photos on the walkabout website. Quality seems good however. Show details

design and the table showing set-ups for different opening widths was very helpful. When installing, remember in Plan View, the mounting brackets are offset (10mm approx).
Unlike the pressure mounted gates, it is so good NOT having a bar to trip on, on the first step. We really like the quality and ease of use. Unlike most OTHER gates, where you have to push the stiff button at the top, while you lift the gate - (I have a sore shoulder, so this hard to do), by comparsion, this gate is sooooo easy to use. Easily squeeze the top and underneath trigger button with one hand and open gate. To close, pull firmly behind you to automatically close (you will see 2 yellow latches in pic below). Because we constantly use both levels of our house, we are up and down the stairs numerous times per day, so we wanted the simplest and easiest gate to use and we found it.
Highly recommend this gate for ease of use and quality.
HINT: Also, we found a cheaper price for this gate, yet Baby Bunting matched the price and then beat it by 5%.

and safe. Once I figured out which way around it goes, it was easy to assemble. I would highly recommend. We bought it with the play mat and the only downside is that the mat is a bit thin. But the white noise depends on an internet connection, this is a major flaw as if you use white noise every night as we do, sooner or later any internet connection will falter overnight resulting in waking the children, when they get used to white noise and it gues off it wakes our children. Happened about three times a year for us so we bought separate devices for white noise. The temperature sensor is off my 3 degrees also, no big deal once you get used to it.
Worst baby monitor – Only works in range within 1 metre direct line of sight. Out of range even if you turn around and block by your body.
