Oricom BabySense7 Breathing Movement Monitor

Useless - thinks a baby is there when it isn't – Useless - you can remove the baby and it still thinks the baby is there. Just sits there flashing away happily. Worst purchase I've made for our child. Show details

shocking, customer service non existent. Even though the item is faulty I still have to pay for shipping plus a restocking fee. Waiting weeks for them to respond to simple emails to arrange the return and when you call them the line disconnects before you can talk to anyone.

guarantee youll have to go and wake your bubs up. Also I think they could have done far better with the app, you can not set upper and lower limits for alarms so if youre monitoring you can almost be certain youll be up all night watching. Also it takes sometimes 40 minutes to calculate a skin temp baseline which absolutely sucks for those arvo naps. Honestly I would look elsewhere. The lady at baby bunting actually gave me the number for oricom when I purchased it assuming im not the only person that can't predict the missing information from the instruction manual

that was. Wish I had someone to talk me out of it.
A few points to keep in mind * Faulty strobing/flickering night light. Disruptive to child’s sleep. (Strobing/flickering not a feature)(Would occur without nightlight feature being used at all) This issue occurred within a few months of receiving each replacement.
* Temperature sensor is extremely inaccurate. Ended up using a separate Bluetooth thermometer. Regular warnings of High Temperatures when it was not even close.
* Motion detection was hit and miss at best. For example, Child fell out of bed a couple of times and it wasn’t captured at all.
* Monitor speaker - is very poor quality. Suppose to play lullabies and noises. Comes out as a very static sounds. The ability to speak to your child through the camera is incoherent, if heard at all.
* Separate monitor display has a poor battery life and if slow to turn on.
Oricom will not provide a refund despite reoccurring issues with every replacement. They continue to push their rubbish product until your warranty is up.
Do yourself a favour avoid Oricom entirely. You will not get the support you would expect when the time comes from such a big company.

in December 2022. The same thing happened again and the battery lasts less than 10 minutes. The product page advertises it can last up to 6 hours. I don't think this is an acceptable standard of quality for an expensive product from a reputable brand. I don't think it is fit for purpose. If I had know this was to be expected I wouldn't have bought this product and now have to find a suitable product. We are currently using the product on mains power only, since the expanded battery is not safe. That does not allow us to go outside or move around the house as we normally would. We have just bought a Tweetycam after reading lots of reviews. I expected a baby monitor would last until I no longer needed it.
The picture isn't particularly clear and the touchscreen is fiddly.

it DID as promised! The charge points are frail and don’t sit properly. Despite having multiple wifi signals to connect to, it consistently drops out. “No Link”. Despite motion sensor turned OFF, it turns on its own. I can’t control the camera from the monitor - it feels like it’s FIGHTING me. Auto turns off within minutes. I wanted this product so I could get things done around the house and monitor while bub napped, but I find myself spending so much wasted time trying to fix and reset the monitor until I just give up. More than defeats the purpose when I get it working and within a minute the camera drops link or moves out of view on its own and I have to keep sneaking into the nursery to adjust.

new ones. And the parent unit just after 2 years could no longer be heard, the sound wasn’t coming through the parent unit, (it still came through on the app) but Oricom where amazing and are sending us a replacement parent unit as the device is less then 6 months outside of its warranty. So despite having a few issue, we’ve been impressed with replacements. The camera and parent unit when working, are amazing.

temporarily fixed that issue. Unfortunately, the connection on the monitor will randomly drop out in the middle of the night (despite there being good wifi) meaning we lie in bed listening to the beeping and have to get up in the night go to the other room and switch off the monitor. The charging cable will also randomly disconnect meaning the monitor will also start beeping in the night. How ironic that the monitor is waking us up more than our 3 month old baby! This product is frustrating and unreliable. Have lost all faith in the quality and reliability of the Oricom brand.

what I loved was 1- the design. It is so nice to look at and is not like the typical items on the market. 2- you can choose your own colour, a great incentive to get my toddler to bed (red is best for their nighttime sleep) but if blue gets him to stay in his room it’s a win for me! 3- you can program soo many sounds! We have older kids and the soother blocks out all that outside noise and moves away from the typical white noise, though that is a still an option. The sound is so crisp and even makes me drift off when I lay with him. You can also control via wifi from your phone, so many features yet very user friendly for setup and continued use. I underestimated how much our family loves this soother. Very happy with this reliable product!!
