was used on a gas cooktop or in the oven. Wonderful! Unfortunately we recently changed to an induction cooktop and, before it was even hot enough to start browning dumplings in avery small amount of oil, the enamel started popping off. It looked at first like I had spilt salt all over the cooktop until I realised that it was the enamel coming off. It has been so disappointing to loose this beautiful pot after so many years of good used. I strongly suggest that these pots not be used on induction cooktops, even at low to medium temperatures. Perhaps the enamel had warn thin over time but we will never know.

inside of my pot still started cracking after only a year of use. I contacted Chasseur for a replacement, but not only did they refuse to take responsibility for a subpar product, they turned around and said that the warranty is void as it must be user error - even though I diligently followed the user manual! Will never buy from them again.
Great containers. Love cooking in these. They stack flat so I can store them in my caravan.
Seems good so far – I got the red oval one, it's pretty good overall and cooks well. If it ends up being faulty and they don't replace it, this review will turn into a 1 star. Show details
classica 5ltr – real bargain compared to loge or le creuset great to cook with, holds up very well, my favorite pot in the kitchen , I can only say what mine is like , it is very good ! Show details

even be used to cook on a bench top. the other small type labelled Pyrex is not made from the same strong material… The “real” PYREX scratches less and can withstand higher temps and larger temperature variations… So do the research and buy the European standard. In either case follow instructions on where to rest a hot dish… I have owned even the small label ones (before I knew about this) and my baking tray of that ilk is over 10 years old and going…
45 years and still going strong, in use every day. Because of the high quality I have never needed anything else – I have pieces that would be over 45 years old, I have ovenware and crockery. My oven ware I would use every day, the only disappointment is I can not find additional petite oven dishes and lids which are great with only 2 to cook for most times.

Place into oven and I was surprised the bread came out crispy. Even when the lid was on the whole time. Well worth it, definitely a keeper. Plus they come in so many colours.
Perfect size – really good long wearing, doesn't chip at all. i have had mine for years and not discoloured. i always use them in the washing machine with no problems at all. Show details

bread without the costs of specialist pizza ovens or other MUCH more expensive equipment.
It's a plate of steel, what's special about it?
Believe it or not, this steel (even the thicker 3/8") is much cheaper than buying a cut plate from the local steel supplier. I did some "shopping around" and found that a comparable piece from three steel suppliers had quotes that ranged from $90-179 Australian EACH, and that's picking it up from the warehouse. So I bought two of these instead for the ticket price of $72 each delivered, but with a discount code, I actually got it down to $65 each. That is still much cheaper than some of the $170+ charged by domestic stores, and nearly $400 delivered price from overseas stores.
Shipping heavy plate is really expensive.... normally.
These steels are 3/8" or 9.5mm thick, (There's a thinner model is only 6mm or so that's about $7-10 cheaper) and definitely heavier than even the dome-lidded cast iron loaf pans like the Brunswick, and Skitchen's "Brisbane Large" that I've reviewed . At 11Kg per steel, I was a little worried about sticking two of them in a 60cm wide wall oven (I have a base model Neff) but that load is successfully held up by the shelving. The steels themselves are NOT wide enough to run on my rails so I could take the shelving out (much as I wanted to), and do sit at a slight lean because my shelf curves up either side. We're talking only a few degrees off from level leaning left/right depending on which side I raise to fit. It causes no problems with any steel-worthy bread dough, and hasn't caused any issues with pizza toppings yet.
This is a carbon steel, NOT stainless steel, so it will rust if you don't look after it. So like cast iron cookware, maintaining a seasoned coat requires ongoing effort, but will prevent rust and create a reasonably non-stick surface. Like all seasoned cookware, it's NOT dishwasher safe, (it's the fastest way to remove your seasoned coating) and the coating can be scratched off, particularly at the edges when scraped along other objects.
Honestly, I really like these steels for pizza/sourdoughs, but since EVERYONE shows that capability, I thought I'd show you some french "milk bread" baguettes I baked on these steels. I've also included a picture of the BOTTOM of a loaf, cooked at 215C for 25 minutes on the pre-heated steel. It's dark, but not burnt and despite being a softer loaf, I think the crust (and crumb) came out pretty much perfectly.
I've baked with these steels on several occasions now, and they fit in my oven, they work well, need the same care as most steels, and come delivered at the most affordable price I could find. What more can you ask for?

in the heat - but this one stays flat. Cleans easily - just soak off the difficult bits. The enamel finish is a great alternative to aluminium or alternative teflon type finishes if you want to avoid them. Masterpro advise that their vitreous enamel products have all passed the lead and cadmium tests, with any traces too low to be detected during the testing process.

into the fridge as well. I think nowadays the material they make it out of is different. You still pay a high price, but some are breakable. Overall, I have a good collection of Corning Ware which I what I use daily for storing and serving my food. This is a fantastic product and I have to say that I got into Corning Ware from my mother. She swears by it, and now, I do too! It is pricey, but can be found on sale in the Corning Ware outlets and also in the bigger shops. Its supposed to be unbreakable, but we accidentally dropped a casserole dish in the kitchen sink, it basically slipped out my hand, and it broke! So, that shouldnt have happened at all!

reheat it in the microwave. With Corningware, you can either buy all the plates and casserole dishes in one design like Shadow Iris or you can mix the designs and buy whichever one you want. Overall, these are great value for money because they are useful for everyday use, and for dinner guests and are easily cleaned too. This is one of the newer ranges from Corningware. It comes with a glass lid and is perfect for using everyday. My mother used Corningware and now I am stuck on buying them because they are so versatile and pretty to use. These can be a bit expensive, but you can buy this design from the outlet shop or sometimes BigW have a bit of a selection.

coating is rapidly coming off and deteriorating. Literally in front of my eyes. Agree with other reviewers of this brand that the non-stick quality is very poor and should be avoided. Recommend you keep your receipt and return to place of purchase.

sticking to the surface, eggs, pancakes, even chicken. I tried using oil, adjusting the heat, and following all the care instructions, but nothing worked.
Cleaning it is a nightmare too. I’ve spent more time scrubbing this “non-stick” pan than I ever did with regular cookware. The surface already looks worn after just a few uses, and I’m questioning its durability.
For the price, I expected much better performance. This pan has made cooking frustrating rather than easier. I wouldn’t recommend it to anyone looking for a reliable non-stick option. Save your money and go with something more dependable.
