IKEA MALM Bed Frames

mattress or bed frame, usually we only have two choices which KING or QUEEN, the size will be standard for any shop or manufacturers. However, Ikea claim that they have their own standard size, and you must purchase together with the mattress, even they selling in Malaysia, that’s really not a friendly seller. So make sure you carefully check the measurement before buying anything that to match or pair with non- Ikea products.
Ikea Hemnes Bed Frame
Love the look, the bed not so much – The foot board constantly falls apart causing the entire bed to fall. I recently used wood glue & it still happened. The bed broke where the support beam attaches to the foot board this time. Show details
Ikea MYDAL Bunk
20 years and still going! – I purchased this bunk bed almost 20 years ago. I has survived 3 children and 3 moves. It is solid pine and sturdy. My youngest son is now 21 years old and 90kg and this is still his bed. Show details

went into the storage in bed. Plus I put one large luggage underneath this bed. Massive space winner on this bed. A bit confusing when building it so better make sure you read the instructions well when building this bed as it has a lot of components and don't take shortcuts.
Very nice bed – Very surprised at the comfort and quality of this bed for the price. Definitely think it’s up there with other more expensive ones I have had in the… Read more
past. We got the Lonset slats Hyllestad medium firm mattress from Ikea and the combo is very comfortable and less cost combined than most places charge for just a mattress. Other reviews I read recommended the lonset slats over the cheaper option and I am glad I spent the extra now I have seen and felt the comfort of the bed. I bought this bed for our guest room but think I will be swapping over for my bed.

clothes or extra linens and towels.
I've had this frame for about 11 weeks now and I'm very happy with how compact the design is. It's perfect for tight spaces so you can make the most of your available space. Storage space is hidden neatly under the bed in 6 large drawers that run smoothly and are soft closing.
This versatile bed frame will look great with your choice of textiles and bedroom furniture. A slatted bed base is included, and a mid-beam is not required.

nightmare. Seriously, stretching the fabric panels is almost impossible and I mean it. And then when you think you have won comes the very worst part….the actual matress bases of steel frames and stretched fabric. After about 3 hours I just couldn’t face the top matress bases of steel frame and said I’d finish it another day. Absolute nightmare. Get another bunk and save the frustration, headaches and ruined day. How IKEA approved this one is a mystery.
Ikea Sniglar Bed Frame
Bed slats not included in bed purchase – We purchased a Sniglar bed for a child, 70 x 160cm. We started assembling the bed to find there were no slats. Back to Springvale to collect the… Read more
missing slats, to be told that no beds come with slats and we would have to purchase them! On returning home we checked the IKEA website Sniglar details: - below the price it says mattress and bedlinen are sold separately. What it does not say is that slats are sold separately. - "What's Included" specifically states that there are two components and we made sure we collected the two packages from the warehouse shelves.
IKEA website should make it plain that not only must you purchase mattress and bedlinen separately, but also the slats. As we live outside of Melbourne, this would have saved us the return three hour journey back to Springvale.
NOT HAPPY IKEA
Ikea Storå
Midbeam broke. deadly hazard. deserves 0 stars and product safety recall – While dismantling the bed, the mid beam snapped in half. If this had happened while my daughter was underneath, it could have been fatal. Now I… Read more
have a pile of firewood. Ikea used glue finger joins and short pieces of pine for this crucial structural component. I have since been to their store to report the safety issue but they will not action without a receipt. There should be a product safety recall for the midbeams on all the old models with fingerjoins. They have not done this, despite knowing this is a design flaw. They have revised the midbeam design as I looked at a new Stora Loft frame on the display floor. It is 2 long flat pieces of pine glued the entire horizontal one on top of the other. I have since bought the metal loft frame, the Tromso.
