meat)after doing $450 shop for our family of 5 yesterday Fridge temp was always average, but fruit and veg in the crisper constantly icing over and spoiling. The freezer sliding shelf rails also broke within 12-18 months of usage. Very average quality from what I believed to be the best fridge brand available in Australia. Called Kelvinator /Electrolux and they said for $299 someone could come look at it and repair it but no warranty or guarantees on the work. Time for a new fridge, obviously not a Kelvinator.

Update: The technician charged 155$ (also as per their website, 155$ on weekdays, 185$ on weekends). Unfortunately, we also had to pay for parts, in this case, a fan worth 121$. Total cost was $276. I am happy with the service but the question in my mind now is how long this will last now? I would say stay away from this specific model.
I should have read this review first before purchasing arrgh! The fridge is not even 4 years old and already not getting cold. The freezer works which is leading me to believe there is a bigger fault somewhere. Folks have suggested to turn off for a few days but seriously doint that will fix it. This product looks like a dud to me. I went for an aussie brand hoping it will last but guess i was wrong? My parents have a Kelvinator that's about 30yrs old and still going, so did I get a lemon?
