Best Childcare Change Tables
Great product for the price ($99 @target on sale) – Before my baby was borned I wasn't sure if I should get this stand alone change table or one that goes over the top of the cot. Have decided to get… Read more
it because we have the space in the bathroom so why not? Now I cannot imagine changing my baby without it! Since it sits in the bathroom, if the baby makes a mess it's easy to clean up, and also for me to wash my hands afterwards. When changing, I would position my baby on the change table so his feet points towards the bathtub in the bathroom (parents you know what I mean =) Sturdy. Very easy to clean. Has organizers to hold all baby essentials (baby toiletries, towels, nappy rash cream etc) Wheels are pretty useless, does not spin on bathroom tiles. Change table top hard to drop if using one hand (the other hand busy with the baby). Hose does not fit tap so the only way to fill the bath is to use a bucket.
Sturdy and good height – This change table is a great height (I am bit tall) and is good sturdy timber construction. Some reviewers have mentioned that it only has one shelf but I have never found this to be a problem as I use a clip on side caddy.
Good – I am really happy I bought this instead of a regular change table. It has been much more convenient for us as my husband and I are really different… Read more
heights. We now have it on the floor and it slides under the cot when we aren't using it, so it doesn't clutter up the nursery, and I never have to worry about our bub falling off because he can only fall 10cm or so if he does. The storage section could be a bit wider to accommodate a hard wipes case. The mat has split but I think this is a universal problem. In all I would recommend this to people who want something simple and movable. It was really convenient when our baby was a newborn as it kept him up higher and closer to our faces. Lovely and solid, with no chance of tipping over. Once the change top is removed from the cot (and put on the floor) there's no chance of bub falling off and injuring himself (but it also has a safety harness). It has a section on the side to keep nappies, wipes, cream and so on close at hand. A bit pricey considering it's not actually a table and has no other shelves/storage. The mat plastic split along the seam. The storage section on the side is a bit too narrow for a tissue box or a hard baby wipes case.
Simple and convenient – We got our change table second hand and it is still in great condition. Very sturdy and easy to clean. I love the two shelves in this model as one… Read more
shelf just isn't enough. It's the perfect height for a tall mummy (6 ft) and daddy (6' 6"). It's simple and exactly what we need, I have nothing bad to say about it. Sturdy, reliable, easy to clean and double shelved.
OK – It isn't a bad change table but if I could go back and buy a different one I would. The tray on the side doesn't hold very much so you really need… Read more
another area to stack your lotions, creams, powder etc. It is an excellent idea to put a baby bath and change table together. It really helps to save your back. The plug is easily kicked out by the baby so you had better make sure there is a bucket under the hose or you could end up with a very wet floor. The hose must be attached well or it can leak.
Good in small spaces – While son (now 2.5)was young it did what I wanted in our small furnished appartment - a safe raised surface to change him on that I could fold up and… Read more
move easily. Originally well under $100. Just talked to Childcare's friendly customer service and bought a replacement change mat for $16.50. The top changemat did split at just over a year, starting from the joins. My son was average weight but a wriggler and difficult to stop from standing/bouncing. Child care doesn't recommend past 12 months though. easy to move and clean, reasonable price, shelf at the bottom and side, stable only recommended for babies <12 months, the plasic mat gradually split at the join points after this until it was unusable
