average as we no longer persist with this one but use separate machine. NOW the big disappointment that compared to previous machines I have owned over the years is that it is a dirty machine and continually requires manual cleaning of Brew Head, and biscuit basket which is quite wet even after resetting grind control, Now where where grinds drop into brew head it is at least once a fortnight clogged with moist grind that collects before dropping in brew head along with the issue of overly wet grinds and a moist brew chamber rather disappointing and reflects poorly on design, brand and customer service will not Purchase again

numerous failed attempts to repair by Smeg they agreed to provide a replacement machine. One month later and the same problem. The steamer stopped working in the new replacement machine as well! This time around they’ve taken our machine away for repair. Two weeks later & still no word on when it will be fixed. Told they’re waiting for parts from Italy. Smeg should be ashamed they continue to sell this product with a known fault.
