Kawasaki Vulcan 900 Custom
I bought a vulcan 900 classic in 2025 i hate it is should have waited but the dealer would not let me take it on a test run . If I had i would have… Read more
walked away. It needs a sixth gear to get to normal interstate speeds of 70mph. Slight vibration i. The handle bars when getting above 60mph. I prefer my Harley because it has the 103 and I can easily cruise the interstate at 70 or higher with no issues. I have the vulcan for sale but request my payoff it only has 50 miles on the odometer because I drove from the dealership and parked it and never drove it again. It is garaged and I start it once a month to keep parts lubricated. I rather have a Harley or Indian at least they were designed right

negatives are an uncomfortable seat and gearing is too low which means high revs at freeway speeds. On the whole, I am glad I bought it instead of the 883 Harley.

grip in the wet, so much so i lost grip on the front at 100ks an hour and into freeway wires etc and nearly killed me, wrote the bike off, got the new 2021 model. Grey/white, through insurance, same vibrating issue, changed the tyres with a balance, still vibrate, changed the risers and bars, still vibrate, put in for repairs and look over at a very good racing mechanics shop, checked all bearings , steering etc, to no avail, told me it may be a design fault. The rest of the bike is great, great brakes, great looks, a little uncomfortable for long rides, how ever put on 2 inches off accoustic foam and a seat cover, can ride for 3 hours without a break, just don't let go of the handle bars at all.
Kawasaki Vulcan 1700 Voyager ABS

000 CAD more. Doing a cost benefit analysis I wasn't convinced it was worth the extra $$. I wasn't particularly interested in a Gold Wing since it was so smooth when I tried it, I didn't feel like I was riding a bike (we're all different). Following the purchase there were two small issues, the chrome piece over the tank caused a squeak which I fixed. Second, the chrome from the handle bars/speakers/clutch/brake reflected on the windshied and into my eyes. I actually painted them over with plasti dip paint (removable) which resolved the issue. I purchased the kawasaki gel seat (firmer) and heated grips. The ABS is quite effective as well, had to use it after being cut off.
