Love it! It actually works really well. We're living in a really small temporary unit and having trouble with condensation and it's helped heaps.

I have had this unit running in my caravan in humid conditions for the last 2 weeks, and it has successfully bought the humidity down from the 80's to around 56-62%. It isn't overly quiet, but it performs as advertised and we are very happy with it. Show details

I'll buy another – This is a great unit, I use it down stairs where we have a problem with dampness, the 5l capacity if filled 3 or 4 times a day. Mould is under… Read more
control, books and papers don't have that damp feeling. The only down side it does heat up the room a bit so we run it overnight in summer and winter is fine. The air quality is crispy. This model is easy to move around on the rollers, controls are simple, easy to empty. All in all I would get another one.
Ionmax Leone ION625
The set up process is ridiculous. whoever designed that needs to sit with people whilst they try & work it out. Otherwise, working well so far.

conditioning system and it works well to pull the moist air from our lower floor and recirculate the dry back into the house. The ED18 connects to Home Assistant via the SmartLife app, along with other products sold by Ionmax. This is a well-built and reliable dehumidifier.

the bedroom). This larger version is excellent for controlling humidity in an area which faces the bathroom and kitchen, as well as needing to dry laundry over winter in Melbourne. The noise on low is easy to ignore, and if you ramp up the fan it really gets the air moving around the room. Note like all compressor units they need an indoor temp of 19degrees+ to work well - so perfect in cool climates if your house has central heating, no good for cold unheated areas. Buyers should note the need to take off the plastic wrapped HEPA filter inside the unit before operating - an essential step missing from the instructions.

Ionmax Venta
Good performance and design, but watch out for the hidden filter packaging! Would have given this a higher rating if not for a couple of issues. … Read more
Firstly, I don’t understand why manufacturers still use feature stickers that leave a messy adhesive residue behind. In this day and age, we know what functions the product has when we buy it, so these stickers are unnecessary—or at the very least, they should use a residue-free adhesive.
Secondly, when I first turned the dehumidifier on, it generated a very loud fan noise (around 60+ dB). I was dumbfounded because I also own an IonMax ION610, which is much quieter. On top of the noise, it captured very little moisture over the first eight hours.
Eventually, I figured out the problem: during factory packaging, the rear filter is wrapped in a clear plastic bag. However, there was no mention or warning for first-time users to remove this bag before operation. Thankfully, it didn't overheat or catch fire during those initial eight hours!
Once the plastic bag was removed, the dehumidifier performed amazingly. It has an elegant, minimalist design. That said, it is still a bit loud even at the lowest fan speed, so I can only give it 4 stars.
If you want a quiet dehumidifier specifically for a bedroom, I highly recommend the IonMax ION610. The Venta is much better suited for a living room.
