Useless – Received the softclix lancets from Medshop when I bought my coaguchek INR meter. The meter works fine but be warned the Softclix lancet device is useless. Buy something else with your meter. Have provided this feedback to Medshop but no response. Show details

Accurate , affordable, easy to use and needs very little blood – After struggling with horrible inaccurate accu check products a few years ago I was recommended the caresens by hospital and diabetes educator. The… Read more

caresens npop meter is great and very reliable. The reading are rather consistent and very close to the glucose tests I've had done at the pathology. Added advantage is it needs very little blood compared to accu check products. Would highly recommend it.

Avoid this piece of over priced junk – Why, poor test strip quality...had to use 14 in one day to get non error reading. That a load of poking my finger to get blood. Mine was free but I sure overpaid in frustration.

everything correct to test their blood sugars. I've noticed it's ALWAYS the first few strips in the container that have error codes and then randomly after that. Very annoying given how expensive they are. If this continues I will be looking for a new BGM.

I have a Dexcom 7 blood glucose monitor. The system continuously looses connection with the sensor, even when the phone is in my pocket. I find the Dexcom 7 much less user-friendly that the Dexcom 6 Show details

I have purchased the engraved Medical ID dog tag, this review is only for that product. The tags are not cheap, to have one engraved on both sides… Read more

and shipping was AUS$92. The warranty is three months, a very short time for any warranty. Just over two months in the red alert symbol delaminated and fell off, I couldn’t find any information stating that it’s only plastic and not paint or enamel. I wrote to Universal Medical ID they said that due to being under warranty it would be replaced. The replacement is due …… I haven’t received a date but I have received an order number.

My concern is how often does this happen and what happens if it disintegrates again at 3 months and two days, it’s probable that this is a recurring problem. The product is of good quality and while very expensive I ambivalent about recommending it if the alert identification symbol falls off so soon after purchase. The company is replacing the dog tag at no extra cost to me and that is a good sign of their professionalism.

The company has a good reputation. I’m not saying don’t buy the product, it’s more be aware that the plastic symbol is not as durable as expected.

Basic Must Have for Diabetes Monitoring – The Accu-Chek Aviva Connect is simple to use and a must for anyone with T2 diabetes combined with the test strips it takes only seconds to get a… Read more

reading on your blood sugar levels. Download the Accu-Chek App for your device and record all your readings , it comes with the ability to customise notes as to when the reading was taken , ie before meals , after meals or custom. The lance is a simple pod of needles preset to your choice of depth so to get a drop of blood ( these are fully customisable ) and very easy to replace in the pen. A word of caution keep your hands and fingers clean before touching test strips so as not to contaminate the tip of the test strip keeping it free of any contaminate transfers such as anything sweet you may have touched and did not realise which will give you a false reading..

Great CGM, very easy to put on, comes with an over patch holds it in place very well. Very accurate readings, and the ability to put in foods with… Read more

all the carbs, protein, fat it can analyse for you, you can put in your medications (oral and insulin), mood, wake up, sleep, bedtime, feet on floor, tags makes it super easy to reflect on your day - has a 24 hour window that you can view landscape, you can download up to 90 days of data. It is more on the expensive side thus the 4 stars but for first timers you can try it for $20!! Yes $20 for 14 days. I’ve had 2 faulty sensors since 1 December and they replace them very quickly. I think at the moment it’s 2 for $178 or $99 each but trust me, they are worth it!!

Like my old teacher's comments, "could do better" – The pump has been a game changer for me. It's greatly increased my time in target and I wouldn't be without it. Having said that, there are a few… Read more

things that could be done better (much better). • The on/off button is way too low profile and difficult to depress. I overcome this by gluing a pad to it to raise it slightly so it's above the case. • The belt clip is designed by a moron. Why design a belt clip that requires one to disconnect the tubing to remove the pump? I overcame this by cutting out the bottom right corner to allow removal with the tubing connected. • The number of button presses required to get something done. E.g. bolus delivery. Calculate bolus, confirm (or change) amount, deliver amount, confirm delivery. Why? • Alarms. There's no way to silence the pump. I'm about to go on a trip with a total of almost 24 hours flying to my destination, the 1st leg of which is 17 hours. I don't want the alarm (or my Dexcom app for that matter) disturbing the entire plane. The pump and app seem ignore any volume settings. There needs to be a "flight" mode on both the pump and app.

Absolute worst designed lancet – I HATE this lancet. The case is ridiculously fiddly - one wrong move and you completely stuff up the device and have to buy a new one. I will NEVER buy another one. Show details

The Ottai CGM is used to provide a continuous measure of blood sugar levels over a 14 day period. It works a small painless disk attached to your… Read more

underarm and through bluetooth connection relays blood glucose information to an app on my phone. It gives lots of detail but unfortunately I have found it to report lower levels of my blood glucose by 2 mmol/L when compared with a finger prick device. While this is a drawback the Ottai is quite consistently inaccurate. It is about half the price of the Libre 2 system as there are deals online selling it for around $54 Au. The good thing is I find it quite motivational in understanding how different foods impact on my blood glucose levels. For example I have almost cut out boiled rice as it really causes a sugar spike for me. I have also been able to find substitute foods that reduce blood sugar spikes. It also helps with weight management and impacts of exercise.

Overall the Ottai is a useful tool to monitor my diet and because it is still quite expensive I only use it to help bring my wayward eating habits under control.

Give it a go. The knowledge you gain could change your life.

much lower, not even half the price. It's called OTTAI CONTINUOUS GLUCOSE MONITOR. They refused to refund my money for eight weeks. That's against Australian law. They received the item. The post office has advised me, and for eight weeks, I have not received my money. What I'm assuming to take them to the consumer fair and highlight it with a current affair about misleading, they shouldn't be operating the business in Australia. Every time I ring, some Chinese ladies answer the phone and make it very hard to understand and keep saying eight weeks for a refund. I've never heard that in Australian law. They should take the account and dismiss this company forever from Australia. Thank you.
