fast heat up function it may not heat up for 30 minutes. Temperatures are best selected with fingers crossed as who knows what you will get. There has been some repairs done on this with the lock function being adjusted and screws tightened but I still cannot believe the erratic functioning of this cooktop. Frequently turns itself off after a drop of water or something brushing the function buttons.
