The earbuds is great but the iOS app is NOT working. It's great for Samsung phones – The sound quality is the best anything under $250. Only issue is that I cannot use the app to control the earbuds on iPhone (iOS). If you use an… Read more
Android phone, (particuarly Samusng devices) you can control on the app. The Samsung Codec SAC is pretty decent. The price is probably half of the airpods air but the sound quality is better than the apple. It offers 360 surround option and offers great ANC, too.

Great buds for listening to music – My wife and I both bought a pair of these buds. To date they have proven to be very good buds, especially for music, which is the main use. They fit… Read more
into the ears very well and do not easily fall out, especially if you change the silicon rubber ear plugs to best fit your ear canals (comes with 3 sizes).
The buds come with with a downloadable app which sits inside the Galaxy wearable app - you would not be able to use and control the buds without the app and obviously they are perfectly matched to the Samsung android phone. Using the settings in the app, you can run with "ambient sound" / Active noise cancelling / No adjustment at all.
Have found the buds to work pretty well on an aircraft with the ANC switched on and in really quiet areas when relaxing, turn the noise cancelling and ambient sound off. The buds fit well into the ears, and there is a test application in the app which allows you to test for a good fit, and this works very well.
We use the app to control the buds but you can use hand gestures and tapping to advance the song back and forwards, volume, answering calls etc. by programming the settings you desire.
Considering the cost of these buds, the sound quality is very, very good and enjoy playing music with them very much. The frequency range is good and the bass is very good without too much artificial Pump up, so the music is fairly well adjusted.
The buds come is a great little case, that fires up the app and connects to your phone as soon as you open them - the case has a chargeable battery witch charges the buds when you put them back into the case, just have to remember to keep the case charged.
The only downside noted is that especially outside with background noise, it can get a little difficult to be heard on a phone call, as the buds don't have any extension for the microphones (note that the buds 3 pro have changed the design and have extensions, haven't tried them but they may be an improvement) so for us the phone call side has not been that great. Overall though, great buds, great sound for music, which is 99% of our use and for that cant really fault them.
The buds connect seamlessly with our Samsung phones through bluetooth and even though outside wind conditions can affect the quality to the person on the other end, the bluetooth performance from the phone to the buds is very good, no problems with bluetooth range either, as the phone is usually close by or in a pocket. Have had 0 issues with bluetooth performance.
PROS: - Well built, good quality - Good fit in ear - Very good quality sound, especially for music - Bluetooth range and consistency is good - Great little charging case - Std, USB C charging on the case
Cons: - Phone calls reception, especially outside with background noise can be problematical - Buds are polished and a bit slippery - were very careful in the plane, didn't want to drop them

altogether. Pairing with a Samsung S22 running Android 16 was easy. You open the Bluetooth settings then open the earbud case. The phone will ask if you want to pair and then download the appropriate management software.
Once installed the buds will appear in the phone’s Settings, near the top. You will also be able to access the settings by swiping down with two fingers for the Quick Settings and then long pressing the Buds Volume slider. From here you can control all aspects of usage and it is pretty comprehensive. If pairing with a non-Samsung phone, you may not get exactly the same controls.
On first use the tips did not seal well and the sound was very tinny. Samsung only provide three pairs of tips and I fitted the largest ones. This gave much better sound quality but still does not seal my left ear, so sound cancellation will not work. Luckily this is not important to me, but these are obviously designed for people with smaller ears than me. The tips are oval and have two square keyways and are awkward to fit. This means that my old sets of tips are not usable which is a pity. Samsung want us to buy genuine tips and they are not cheap and would probably not seal any better than the ones I have.
The physical controls are badly designed and difficult or impossible to use. You are supposed to “pinch” the stems once, twice, or three times to control the functions. However after many attempts I was able to make it work only once and then not again, so multiple pinches are not possible. To adjust volume you stroke the stem up or down and this does work about half of the time. The 5 year old Jabras were so much easier to use by simply pushing a button. It is perplexing that Samsung would design something that makes it impossible to even answer a call. Luckily I can control the buds from my watch. Audio quality is clear in both directions, but because of the bad design and usability, I cannot recommend this product.

ear buds – Great product. It would have been good if Samsung, in their getting started pamphlet, told you to open the case to enable pairing. Would have saved me time. Apart from that I'm loving my ear buds.

Samsung has launched the new Buds4. And, on the face of it, they look like a triumph of sleek, South Tech design. But there’s a problem... They… Read more
don’t have silicone tips unless you buy the Pro model.
This means that instead of sitting snugly in your ear canal, they simply perch on the edge of your head like a nervous pigeon on a skyscraper. If you so much as blink, or think about a ham sandwich, they fall out. I’ve seen more grip from a bald tyre on a frozen lake. They are, to use the technical term, about as useful as a chocolate fireplace.
Don't be tempted to just "give it a try" because Samsung won't entertain a change of mind or god-forbid an upgrade. I called their support. I told them, "I would like to give you more of my money to upgrade to the Pro model." Now, in a sane world, you would think Samsung would say, "Yes, please! Give us your money!" - but no.
They told me I could return them under the "Change of Mind" policy... but only if the box was still sealed. How, in the name of all that is holy, am I supposed to know they don't fit my ears if I don't open the box? It’s like being told you can return a car if it’s uncomfortable, but only if you never sit in the driver's seat.
And then—the crowning achievement of idiocy. They also asked for video recordings of the "fault." What do they want? A slow-motion, 4K cinematic shot of an earbud hitting the floor? A montage of me looking disappointed while my left ear rejects their hardware like a bad kidney transplant?
So, if you're considering whether to buy the Buds4, or Buds4 Pro - just go straight for the pro model and be done with it - or better still buy something entirely different from a manufacturer who has some sense of customer service.
The verdict is - don't buy (especially not for the $299 RRP). Yes they may work for some, but don't risk them since it is seemingly impossible to resolve fitment issues once you've made your choice.
