Not only was I assumed to be liar when I wanted a small replacement part under warranty but I was also lied to about the features of the shaver. All… Read more

the blurb said is had 5 blades, it doesn't!!! It does have five "FOILS" but it only has 2 "BLADES"..! It doesn't shave anywhere near as good as other shavers I've owned. Still no response from Panasonic..LOL They are liars, this shaver DOES NOT have 5 blades, let them prove otherwise bet they can't..LOL

First time with foil shaver ... early days but happy so far – I have used a philips 3 head rotary for around 30 years. I needed a new shaver and spent hours reading reviews which didn’t help. The Braun and… Read more

Philiashaves are ridiculously expensive and had both good and bad reviews. I saw the Panasonic which I hadn’t considered but at a very reasonable discounted price. Had it about 2 weeks now and very happy so far. Comparing the price is excellent value for money.

Great shaver – I've had my es4029 for twelve years now, and it's been brilliant. It is now starting to lose battery power quickly so I will purchase another soon. For around $70NZ it is great value, and I hope to get many years of use again Show details

Perfect shaver made in Japan – Best shaver I have ever used in over 50 years. Believe me I am fairly critical of gear, but I am absolutely delighted with this product and have used… Read more

it for six weeks as of writing this review.

Prior to this I had a very old Philips with the three rotatory heads, and it was pretty good until the locking tabs wore off and so the heads would spin instead of being stationary. No parts available.

Then got a newer model Philips that also had the three rotatory heads and somehow Philips redesigned the heads so it did not work as good as the old model. Took a lot of work to get a clean shave with it. And cleaning it was a real chore.

Then I saw a good review in Choice magazine for the ES-LT4B Panasonic shaver which I was not aware existed.

Just WOW! This thing is so good! Very clean shave with minimal passes. Shaving is so easy and quick now. A delight in fact.

I use it dry. Handle is comfortable, run time is great and at the end of a shave it will beep if it needs to be recharged. Which averts you getting halfway into a shave next time and it running out. Charges up quickly.

Everything about this shaver is very well designed and built.

Cleaning is a breeze, just unclip the head and brush out with the included special brush and apply a little of the included oil as per the user guide.

Par Excellence – Bought this recently to replace a rotary Remington shaver that I was never really happy with. What a difference. Quick close shaves, it's amazing.… Read more

The pop up trimmer isn't a problem. Would not buy any other brand and love the finish of the three blade foil.

Best electric shaver I've used – I've had a Philips rotary shaver for years and the battery is dying so bought this to replace it. I haven't used a foil shaver in years since a… Read more

very old remington plug in. This unit is better than the Philips in that it is a closer shave although I'm not sure its any quicker but that could be that I haven't got fully used to it yet. It comes with a cleaner and whilst expensive seems to be fair value. I bought this in preference to the Braun series after reading those reviews on this group. It is way noisier than the Philips though- its only real downside - and the cleaning cycle is even noisier so don't set it off early in the morning!

Very good shaver but it can have it's problems – I purchased this shaver recently due to the ever increasing cost of blades. Initially I purchased a Braun S5 which failed after less than 12 mths and… Read more

was replaced under warranty. Having read reviews, I decided that Panasonic was the way to go if I was going to purchase an expensive shaver & so far I havent been disappointed. The shaver does give an exceptionally smooth shave. It is easy to clean and the recharge/cleaning station is great. You simply add some cleaning solution and water to the base, and after inserting the shaver press 'clean'. The process is all automated. Charge percentage lights on the shaver let you know how much charge is left. I have found this shaver very easy to use and is lightweight. On the downside, I noticed the foil had a small piece missing from it after only 6 months of use (I was told I may have been pressing too hard when shaving which is quite likely). This isn't covered by the warranty so I had to purchase a replacement which cost over $100 since you have to buy the foil together with a new cutter. On the plus side I replaced the foil and put the cutter away for when I need to replace that down the track. Another negative is the shaver stopped working after only 18 months. The Shavershop wasn't sure if the problem was with the charging base (its not the same quality as the shaver as they said the shaver is made in Japan while the charging base is made in China) or the shaver. So they replaced both with a new unit even though it was outside the manufacturer's warranty period. Overall the shaver is very good in my opinion but I highly recommend reading the user manual that comes with it thoroughly before use to optimise the life of the shaver and its consumables.
