have to press the power joystick, located on the back of the monitor and then wait for 4 seconds until a menu appears on the screen. After that, using the tiny joystick, you need to select an option and press the joystick again. Then the monitor will switch off. It's a process that requires patience, time and focus on the joystick. Today, this monitor eventually died, and I promise the next one won't bear the brand name "Samsung".

the best purchase for gaming and work I have made. I get lost in games and excel spreadsheets for work. All the worries about a VA panel soon disappeared, the only thing I had to get used to was a bit of vertigo with how immersive the screen is.

box (DOA). In the meantime, I paid a technician out of pocket to rule out any setup errors on my side.
Despite clearly explaining the issue at the outset, Samsung insisted on sending a technician to assess it—this process alone took nearly two weeks to arrange. Then it took another week just to be told the unit could be repaired. Personally, I found this unacceptable for a brand-new product. A repair shouldn’t be the first solution for something that was never working properly.
It wasn’t until four weeks after the initial report that I was finally offered a refund or replacement.
To make matters worse, the customer service experience was frustrating and unprofessional. I was shouted at over the phone by one representative when I asked for clarity on the process. There has been no apology, no compensation, and no real accountability for the time, effort, and inconvenience I’ve endured.
While I still believe Samsung makes good products, this experience has really shaken my confidence in their customer support and after-sales service.

absolute run around by Samsung trying to get a replacement. Now 6 weeks late I still don’t have a panel and no ETA on replacement. Meanwhile they are selling and supplying new panels to other people. What can I say? Don’t EVER buy direct from Samsung. A total nightmare of biblical proportions. Worst customer service EVER. Other than that this monitor appears to have massive Q&A issues lots of DOA units reported on reddit. Samsung want to sell direct but do not look after the customer at all. I know of multiple people who had dead units and just ordered another because customer service have left them in the dark. Hopefully they fix this mess as I will never buy direct from them again.

solution that works perfectly and wanted to share it with the community.
The problem is often caused by how the monitor handles IPv6 (the newer internet protocol). Some routers and apps on the Tizen OS can get 'confused' by it, causing connection errors.
The Fix: Log into your Router Admin Settings (usually 192.168.1.1). Go to the Advanced or Network settings. Look for IPv6 LAN settings and Disable it (switching your home network to IPv4 only). Save and Reboot your router. On your Samsung Monitor, perform a 'Cold Boot': While the screen is on, hold the Power button on your remote until the screen turns off and the Samsung Logo reappears. *** It's a good idea to turn off/unplug your home internet wifi modem for a min for the modem to refresh new settings.
Once I did this, the YouTube app loaded instantly and has been stable ever since. This change hasn't negatively affected my other devices (iPhone, Samsung phone, laptop, or iPad) at all—in fact, the connection feels even more reliable now.
If your YouTube app is acting up, give this a try! Pros: Great display, but requires a bit of networking knowledge for app stability.

Samsung 49" monitor really tinny sound for $1800 – Great to have so much real estate to use. But colours are not uniform across the monitor and dim noticeably towards bottom of monitor. Inbuilt speakers are very nasty sounding - I expected better in an $1,800 monitor.

fast.
First, wait for Samsung premier service to come and "repair". Repair "dead pixel"? Yes they explained they would take your brand new 2500$ monitor you just unpacked and (when Samsung will ship replacement panel) they will replace the panel.
Obviously i did not want that so was told to wait 4hrs for the premier support to send the assessment report (same photos of the dead pixel and back label i already provided to samsung) then I was told i can contact Samsung to get help.
I did and for second day I am trying to get someone to organize replacement or refund but was told it takes unknown number of days for next in line Samsung manager to assess the assessment report from the Premier service.
Do yourself a favor - dont but expensive goods from Samsung, the quality is non-existing and same is the customer service, best option is to raise the chargeback on your credit card immediately.
And btw after reading internet reports this model comes with dead pixel by design, some customers are on their 3rd replacement because the panel has dead pixels or other defects.
That info should be added to Samsung ad for the model: "ssexxy dead pixels included!" https://www.samsung.com/au/monitors/gaming/dqhd-monitor-with-1000r-curved-display-49-inch-lc49g95tssexxy-
