Although it comes with spike like nose i sharpened it more to stop slipping when nailing on angle.it is very powerful.. yet ive seen it upstaged by other framing guns when nailing into kiln dried hardwood. Never had to replace any thing on it.Over all very happy with it powerful, light, hold lots of nails ,very reliable could be more powerful
