I’ve been using the Luvele Pure Plus Yogurt Maker (2L Glass Model) for just under a year, making a 2-litre batch of yogurt about once a week. The… Read more

borosilicate glass container with the airtight silicone lid creates a clean, plastic-free fermenting environment, and the overall design feels simple, thoughtful, and beautiful. What I appreciate most is how little hands-on time it requires—about 15–20 minutes of attention—after which I can step away while the machine gently does its work.

The results have been consistently thick and creamy, and the wide range of time and temperature settings makes the process feel flexible and dependable. For me, this yogurt maker has made homemade yogurt feel easy, approachable, and sustainable week after week.

wear and tear. So purchased a new one. It often doesn’t work, even with trying the water levels and yogurt mix. There’s no clear indication on the new containers. Making it difficult, wasteful. Anyone with visual issues even harder. Or in country or remote areas hoping to buy in bulk which was useful previously. I note on the website they’ve tried to add checking water. Water quality isn’t the issue, especially for the container it goes into to set. You don’t need quality, you need quantity. You’d be better to buy yoghurt, freeze and mark it for long term, and easy use from the shops.

separates it from larger units. The density of the waffle is less and while that seems a negative, your using less batter mix than a conventional maker... but still getting a good product. I use a cooking oil spray on the plates before each use and cook near the full temp level. Its not fast but it also has a reasonable time for domestic use. Serving up as a whole or as individual pieces makes it versatile. I'm always a fan of appliances that don't take up too much cupboard real estate too.

It makes Ice Cream and Gelato – This machine has no frills, just two dials, one tells you the temperature the other the timer, the rest is up to you. One minor complaint is that it… Read more

has no on /off switch so you are going to have to turn it off at the power point or use a wireless smartplug. Winding back the timer is a bit tricky, I found by pressing down I was able to rotate it slowly to off. It is rated at 150W and weighs in at around 12KG , so you don't want to be lugging this in and out of a cupboard, I suggest you find a permanent spot for it. We all know that the difference between Gelato and ice cream is not great , Gelato contains more milk and less fat, so all these fancy machines you see around do all the same thing , they make ice cream .

Many machines have a number of settings, this one is bare bones, so all you need is the machine and some common sense to make decent Ice Cream ,all those settings are just a gimmicks varying time and temperature, and talking of temperature this one peaks out at minus 23 degrees C . My first batch peaked out at minus 22C and my second at minus 18 degrees C the result was neither this way or that way but the second one at the higher temperature was my first choice. You may see claims that this machine peaks out at minus 35 degrees C, it does not, that belongs to it's bigger and more expensive brother. I read of people complaining that their paddle got stuck and would not turn or something snapped off, well all I can say , show some common sense,if this happens the ice cream is ready . Maybe that's indicative of using a machine with masses of settings people maybe expect it to talk to them.

Now to noise, I see some complain about noise , so I put this to rest, it's not noisy. I tested the DB at 68DB at 6 inches and 59DB at 1 metre. Normal conversation is 60DB at 1 metre. You can end up with a stuck inner pail if you leave it wet , make sure you dry it and the cooling shell before you start churning. Most ice Creams can be done in less than 50 minutes and if you pay attention as to when the machine starts to struggle then that is the time you should use.

There is no need to put the ingredients in the fridge before churning, just make sure you have everything mixed and the sugar dissolved with a whisk before hand. Nuts and other things like Rum and raisins ,chocolate powder or chips can be added later in the process. I did a coffee ice cream with a double shot of espresso which I added at the begining and it was delicious. The Ice cream can be messy when getting it out of the pail and you will lose a bit in the transfer to a container, but that can't be avoided regardless of what brand you use..

Don't pay full price for this hunt around , I have seen it at over $600.00 but many suppliers have it much lower you should be able to pick up this commercial grade machine for between $380 and $450.00 delivered. Thats what you will pay for a Breville or a Cuisinart, you just won't get the bells and whistles . This machine also sells under the Buffalo brand , and I see where claims are made it's manufactured in Germany...........wrong company, this is made in China like most of the machines.

It has a one year warranty although I have seen claims it has a 2 year warranty so check that out when buying.

All in all to this point it works as it should and makes creamy Ice Cream and Gelato and I recommend it if you want to start making your own, it will work out cheaper than premium ice Cream, and after all , that is what you are making, comparing it to low grade watered down cheap brands it is more expensive.

Heinz product having filled all our other trays with assorted meals with the hope that it would provide an easy way to store and deliver meals to our endlessly hungry baby. Our other trays are all silicone while this is a mix of hard plastic and silicone which has so little flexibility that it's virtually impossible to remove one portion of food at a time with no provision to flex the entire container.

Minimum frustration is vital when you have a young baby. No one will argue with that. This product has been nothing but frustrating and a complete waste of time.

So, the product doesn't work. This doesn't stop Heinz standing by it and refusing a refund despite being unfit for purpose. Pretty poor service from such a large company...

well known "aussie" brand prior to this and the poached eggs truned out like eggs fried in water, so I was desperate to find something that actually worked . I found this and was lucky I had a 1000w voltage converter and in the long run I probably saved $40.00 , but if you don't have a converter than you can buy the Dash at this link .

https://au.homeloftglobal.com/product

Converters cost around $44.00 to $69.00 depending on your wattage, they are a good edition to the kitchen allowing you to buy products that come from overseas.

Personally I prefer the Amazon route but either way this product is not cheap.

https://www.amazon.com/Dash-Rapid-Egg-Cooker-Scrambled/dp/B00DDXYC6O?th=1&language=en_US&currency=AUD

I tried this with 2 eggs, soft boiled and found they were borderline medium , so to be honest just put less water in and this will reduce the cooking time. Same with the poached eggs. I pulled these out about 30 seconds to a minute before they were due to be finished, and for me they were perfect. I don't know much about the brand but it seems well known in the USA . This is probably the fastest egg cooker on the market but still it will take you around 5 minutes to do your eggs. Results for me were more than satisfactory and you can do an omelette in this as well, that is, a small fat omelette, not my cup of tea though. Highly recommended if you are fussy about your eggs and will cook tthem to perfection, my only gripe is the poaching trays, can someone change the shape of these and make them a little deeper?

No more messy poaching pots, or watching the pot for when it boils. Simply add eggs, turn on, walk away, when machine beeps, your eggs are ready. The carry case the boiled eggs sit in, makes it extremely safe for exiting the eggs without boiling water risks that can happen with old methods. The machine is also so very neat and fits easily in a tiny kitchen. For me this is the machine I did not know I needed.
