Sunbeam this time. It is a totally crap product Don't buy one! Get a Breville. Differences: Slicing slots: Breville 17 Sunbeam 11 Slice thickness: Breville good medium size, suits toasting or untoasted. Sunbeam Thick so okay for toasting but too thick for untoasted. Slots for knife: I use an electric knife. Breville slots are wide enough to remove the blades by pulling out towards you after the cut is finished, ready for the next cut. Sunbeam the slot is too narrow and you have to lift the knife vertically. As the bottom of the crust is often still attached you have to lift the blades vertically out and replace it with the end of the blade inside the frame. Backrest: This is present in the Breville but is just a narrow horizontal strip in the Sunbeam. You really do need the Breville's back rest to hold the loaf in position as you cut.

So in summary the Breville is a well thought out effective tool. The Sunbeam is not. Check out pictures of both online. My Sunbeam is going to the tip shop. I'm buying another Breville.
