other cars I have owned and other cars I have traveled in. The Optimos have been slow wearing and in this respect they are good. I replaced two along the way - one with a puncture and the other due to wear. The wheels were twice rotated. Recently at 120,000km I replaced the four on the car, which still had good life in them, with Michelin Latitude Tour HP. What a noticeable improvement in ride quality! The change of tyres has made the car more pleasant to drive.
Hankook Ventus Prime
Good service - arrived on time and date specified. Professional service. One thing which would be an added bonus is to "black" the tyres once fitted so they look all pristine.
Hankook Ventus V2 Concept 2
Long wearing not good in wet – Brought in Jan 20, 4 for 3 deal. Have got over 55K and still plenty of tread left. However, this may be the vehicle (CH Lancer) very dicey in the wet, the smallest amount of water will cause wheel spin and slip out Show details

daily basis. I'm still unsure why they were deflating so rapidly as there is no visible punctures. The car completed two 1100km trips and two 1400km trips in that time, over a variety of road types/quality.

Rapid wear – Have just changed these for a set of Pirelli at just 16k. Normally get a minimum of 30k from Michelin. Very happy with the Pirelli tyres. They have good rim protection for low profile tyres , as a bonus. Show details

excellent. Now the wet weather has arrived I have to say that I’m somewhat disappointed with the handling and stopping when it’s raining. I made a decision to not use my go to tyres either Bridgestone or Michelin and now I’m stuck with these. I know that they are cheaper than other brands but this may be the reason why. My deal was buy 3 get 1 free hence the price $1,150. Would I recommend them … sorry but No from me…

wet. Pro's - great grip in all weather and long lasting. Con's - very noisy tyre, but if that doesn't bother you these are a great option for the price you pay compared to other top quality brands.

just over 5000km I contacted Hankook NSW on 19/12. Their initial response was “ that’s not possible for a car that’s not 12 months old with those kms, maybe they swapped the tyres and anyway it’s not our problem, they’re probably US or German tyres, we’re Hankook Australia” After speaking with the car dealer several times I contacted Hankook NSW again 13/2 and again 27/2 but they were unwilling to accept any responsibility for the poor tread wear. Purchased new Pirelli Scorpion Verde all season tyres from Bob Jane T Marts in Adelaide a fortnight ago, nice to know they offer a 4 year warranty. My last set of Pirelli Scorpions were still good at over 50,000 kms when I traded up.
Replaced at the 58K mark. One tyre leaking and could not be repaired. As with millage, decided to… Read more
