the cons outway the pros when it comes to this so called portable aircon unit – Does an ok job of cooling but two HUGE gripes with this unit which means i CANNOT recommend it to others - as follows: 1) the outlet hose; ugg what… Read more
an absolute pain, it does not connect cleanly to the point that I've had to gaffa tape the hose at 2 points; the rear exhaust and then again at the window outlet. Terrible design. Other competitors eg Rinnai have a hard plastic connector that locks the exhaust pipe in place; wonderful easy to connect design. Dimplex take note!! 2) dehumidifier - there is not collection point to empty out excess water, which means you have to come up with your own external hose AND collection solution in order to drain the excess water. When you're in QLD and it's 90% humidity this is entirely impractical. As another reviewer said - it would have cost the company next to nothing to at least include a drainage hose which you could then drain the water into an ice cream container I guess, but seriously who wants to do that??? What were you thinking Dimplex???

Excellent quality works amazingly good – It is better than the current air-conditioning unit I have I can really notice the difference right away as it's in a steel shipping container and keeps it freezing cold thanks dimplex it's a really good air-conditioning unit Show details

The mullet of air cons – The unit delivers cold air at the front, and hot air at the back. I had high hopes for this new technology, however the 3m x 3m room started at 26 degrees and after an hour of use, the room measured 34 degrees. I have since obtained a refund.

All Good so far – At first use I was a bit surprised at how cool it wasn't, but after 5 or so minutes it became colder. Then I became disappointed as I realised I may… Read more
not be able to use it for my guest bedroom when someone sleeps over due to the noise of it. Perhaps they are all this loud but I was a bit surprised at how loud. If you're a heavy sleeper you may be able to sleep through it but no way for others. The exhaust fits in the window well but I felt I had to be careful with the whole exhaust system as it seems it would be an easy thing to break somewhere, though I think all portable AC systems have similar. Overall it seems to work well though I haven't had it long & it is very easy to operate. The energy rating looks a bit weird, they either forgot to fill it in or it has a really bad rating. (see photo) But it's all good so far & does a good job of cooling down an average size room.
