weeks I removed the flters to wash by hand only to have the spring fastening clip break the appliance works ok other than the clips on the filters not being strong enough

cooking and forget to turn it off. It's only when we go outside we hear the fan and go "oh yeah, we left the rangehood on" Compared to other hoods, the silence is it's greatest feature. Every home should have one It's also easy to clean (pop the filters out and into the dishwasher) but I do find the buttons a bit hard to find and operate because I'm a bit taller, and being 'easy to clean' means there aren't separate tactile buttons that I can find without looking.

Contacted F & P not interested in complying with Australian consumers law and reasonable durability which to be fair most of these companies do this as there is no good enforcement mechanism of the law. Don’t buy. UPDATE November 2024: used the ACCC complaint tool and F&P provided a free repair.

Not a good buy! – My second review of this rangehood. The sliding mechaism has now failed twice. It was replaced - not cheaply as out of guarantee - only 18 months ago. A carpenter is needed to remove and replace it. Not a good buy. Show details
