My Westinghouse Rangehood WRF900CS suddenly stopped working but the lights are on. Can anyone advise what is the fault? . If the motor is burnt, can I replace it and where can I buy the compatible motor for this model. Thanks

Noisy (but I haven't ducted it to outside, so that might fix that). The hob2hood function is the dumbest idea ever. This turns on/off and adjusts… Read more

speed of the rangehood exhaust fan based on the temp of the matching cooktop. According to the manual:

"compatible rangehoods work seamlessly with your induction or ceramic cooktop to clear your kitchen of cooking smells and steam. As you start cooking, the rangehood will automatically turn on then intuitively adjust the fan speed and airflow to match your cooking. How's that for hands-free convenience?"

How is it? Horrible. Constantly changing fan speed when not required. You can empty your pots after finishing cooking, turn rangehood off, put pots back, and it turns on again because it's still hot on the cooktop. No steam or fumes anymore, but Westinghouse knows best.

Recommend not getting a matching cooktop and not using unless you intend to duct to outside.

No attachment screws included – I found it very strange that the Rangehood has pre tapped holes for the screws, but no screws included. So it has become a guess game what screws to… Read more

use (or type, for that matter). We have been trying to get it attached for hours now. Honestly, how hard would it be to include the screws in the purchase. Will not buy from Westinghouse again. Would love to review the product, but no chance to use yet.

Sleek – Bought this as part of a kitchen makeover and went with Westinghouse to complement other purchases. Looks really good and works as it should. Noisy at the highest fan setting but the lowest does the work for me. Very happy! Show details

Absolutely Crap – I had this Westinghouse WRC913SB installed in my new home. It looks good but that’s all. It does not extract much and is too noisy. Truly disappointed looking for replacements now. Show details

Slide out runner failure – After less than 12 months of light use the runners have fallen apart. It's a poor design as the ball bearings are less than 3mm in diameter. The whole slide out section has come away from the main body of the range hood. Do not buy this item.

Wow, the absolute worst service I have ever had as a customer. I sit next to the oven (still in box) I purchased to replace my broken one from… Read more

Appliances online. I bought the matching rangehood too. The rangehood was installed a few weeks ago... it had not been put together properly and the parts fell out having not been glued in place correctly. The installer told me "this is a warranty replacement". Great $700 to install something broken. Electrolux need their own service person to check. Cool, took the day off work. Serviceperson didn't turn up... they decided to order parts last minute....but they have not seen the rangehood and what it wrong? All parts were there... just not put together properly. After many calls, finally serviceperson comes out. "This is a warranty replacement job". SHOCK! Now a few weeks in to trying to have the Service company email through the report to electrolux. Initially, they hadn't sent it (as promised that day) as they were ordering parts they didn't need. Once we ironed out that the report said "warranty replacement" not "get the parts we don't need to fix" they sent the report to Electrolux. about a week passes..... I follow up with Electrolux. No report had been sent.

After Electrolux "trying to contact their own Service team" for about another week, I am at my wits end. I don't have a working oven as I was not installing the oven till the rangehood was sorted. The plumber (installer) had been stalled 4 times now and doesn't return my calls. (thanks electrolux). Everyday I cannot cook food for my family, so it costs me money. Chasing up these people to get them to actually speak to each other is also taking time away from work. In the end, the report had been sent 3 times! Electrolux had not received it. They sent again! Nope, we don't have it.

I was the one who had to work all this out.... not the two companies who work together. Meanwhile, I am told to wait for updates... 24 - 48 hrs each time. It should take 5min to forward an email..... My favorite was when I set up a conference call to make sure they were going to talk to each other. As soon as the Service company heard they were on with Electrolux, suddenly they couldn't hear us (they had been hearing me just fine) and they immediately hung up..... That was very annoying.

So you know ONLY ONE time after begging, did someone update me. They did, the next day bless them. They told me to "wait"....

Where are we today? Almost a month in to this?

Service company WILL NOT send the report to a different email address than the one they have..... Electrolux still do not have the report. Appliances online have told me their team is chasing this information.... and.... to wait. My "ticket and case" has been "Escalated" several times between the 3 companies. Yet here I sit, next to a new oven in a box, broken oven in my house, under a brand new broken rangehood from Electrolux/Westinghouse. Costing me about $100 in uber eats a day if my family doesn't simply eat sandwiches. I can't cook anything. I had even tipped the delivery drivers. Its the worst runaround I have ever had after finding a fault. I have asked for a Refund and for us all to move on.

Apparently they will do that......once they get the report. Which we know... is not happening.

DO NOT buy from Electrolux/Westinghouse!!!

Loud buzzing noise – I have been chasing up Westinghouse/Electrolux for almost a year now about this product which produces an audible and very loud buzz when not in use.… Read more

They have sent a technician twice and the noise got worse with his replacement parts so he put the original part back in. I have been on the phone for many hours over this and have sent innumerable emails and have spoken with so many different people and so many different ticket numbers for a year!!!!! And still no solution it’s appalling service and products. I am actually shocked at how bad the service and product quality is as it’s the same with all the products I bought from them and they are expensive. Beware, if I had my time again I would never buy from this company.
