Don't buy a Neff oven – I have a Neff oven which, I have been told by Neff that every time I use it (the inside of the door always becomes soiled), that I need to take the… Read more

oven door off, take it apart to clean, re-assemble and then replace it. It is not an easy task, and is time consuming. I should have kept my old oven, the door didn't get soiled internally. Be warned.

10/10 – As a chef I've cooked on a lot of stoves and this has to be up there with the best residential upright cookers on the market. I've had mine for 3… Read more

years now and its been nothing but perfect, burner performance is exceptional, oven is also very good.

Hands down out performs any Ilve or belling it genuinely in a league of its own, I spent months researching upright cookers from all brands and the Steel was a standout in looks and specs.

Would without a doubt purchase another id recommend to everyone that asked.

So versatile – Our old Smeg oven died after 12 years of faithful service, was older and it came with the house. Due to the great service we’ve received from Smeg… Read more

over the years, I decided to stay with Smeg, although I did look at Neff and some other brands but the Smeg was a standout.

Loving the steam function, keeps roast soft on the inside and crispy on the outside. The meat thermometer is a game changer, no more guessing if it’s cooked to perfection or overdone. I make pizza dough on a regular basis, and having a proving function is fantastic.

Used the self cleaning function, game changer as it’s so easy, you just wipe the ash out at the end of the cycle.

I was worried about it being so clever, but the self cook functions are great if you’ve got kids, or a hubby who can’t cook. They choose what they want, hot chips, pizza etc and the oven does the rest, no keeping an eye on it as it’s all timed.

Got the air fryer trays last week, they were a free add on, looking forward to trying it out as I’d love to get rid of the air fryer we have, small house and not enough room, so the oven having this ability is a bonus.

Best combi microwave oven – We renovated our kitchen two years ago and discovered the TEKA brand at the time during (a lot of) research. The brand comfortably sits alongside… Read more

other top premium brands but offers far better value. This combination microwave oven is another one of the appliances we've come to love and we have used it multiple times a day for the last two years, with no issues at all. It's controls and menu options are very easy to navigate, including its timed cooking options. We do primarily use it as a microwave, however when entertaining we use it as a second oven (and prefer it to our main oven- in terms of cooking results!). It has a digital thermostat, so very accurate with its temperature control and being a compact oven, it's heat up time is very quick. Love it!

Worst ovens. Can’t recommend Asko combi steam – ASKO appliances I bought for my new house 2.5 years ago have turned out to be garbage. Combi steam oven was replaced after about a year. The… Read more

replacement is still a POS. It has a design flaw where water gets in in between the seal and the door cavity. Repair guy said it can’t be fixed.

Both the pyro and steam ovens have has 2-3 call outs at least to replace LED lights inside the oven. I think we are on our 3rd LED replacement.

These Asko combi steam and pyro ovens are one of the most regretful purchases of my life. Not to mention how hard the combi steam oven is to clean.

ASKO customer service has been excellent but I really do not like being on a first name basis with the repair guy.

No backlighting on dials and buttons – For a suposedly high end oven I'm very dissapointed particularly with the ease of use as none of the buttons or dials are backlit. So if your… Read more

benchtop overhangs the oven, you can't read the dials. My 16 year old AEG oven has well lit dials and display and I'd expect that again. Not something i thought to check. It seems slow to heat up, the soft runners are not really necessary and cooking time seems slower than my old oven. Because I bought 2 ovens, I tried to return 1 ( unopened ) after i realised the problems and AEG would only do this with a 10 % surcharge. Pretty dissspointing customer service. I'll buy a cheap oven with lights next time.

Shocking oven, must have got a dud – Our oven door lock became faulty, and the oven would not turn on. This and the door handle cracked. Called Electrolux (who own Westinghouse), they… Read more

sent out serviceman. A new door plastic part and door lock ordered and replaced (promptly). Very next day oven would not turn on and door lock again faulty. Serviceman showed up again next day to inspect and noted broken, had no idea where to go from here, so he left without knowing what was happening. Called him a day later, stated new lock and now power board ordered to be replaced. Waited 2 weeks for that, Serviceman arrived with parts and fixed both - now works. However, after removing the gas stove assembly the top section is screwed on slanted with a notable gap on the right side compared to the left (looks like total trash). Fast forward to a month later -- door handle has cracked below the same area, shortly after this happened the same top handle plastic broken again. Wife also noted that the grill function is not even working after turning that on. What else could possibly go wrong with this unit? Will be uploading pictures! Westinghouse - I will be calling you in the next few days! Definitely want a refund and different model thanks!

when we have had Power Outages or Brown Outs with the Energy company the Control Panel goes completely blank - dead - nothing. Cannot set the clock. I actually had the first oven replaced. The second one kept doing the same. But there is no easy reset. A huge note of warning - the power control board contains a small capacitor. In order to reboot you need to drain off all power running to the oven. The Power circuit switch was not enough to reset it. I had to turn mains and Solar battery backup off completely for 10 minutes to reset the oven. So I hope this post helps someone. You do not have to replace the control board just do a hard reset at the Main Power. Other than that it is easy to use and easy to clean.

Neff steam oven reliability? easy fix if I had known – Recently had a Neff steam wall oven installed 6 weeks ago and it has worked perfectly until undertaking it's first descaling operation. During the … Read more

first rinse cycle the oven stopped working and displayed an error code and instructed me to press the power button to retry. During the retry the oven pumped water out over the floor and cupboards and now has become practically useless. I have discovered that the descale process cannot be "interrupted" and as a result no other function on the oven is available to me, even if I turn it off and on again the oven returns to the point just prior to the error message. The descale process cannot be overridden to allow me to use the oven in any way. Following this I contacted NEFF customer service, which operates 24/7 and they were very helpful arranging a call to me from a repair technician within two hours. This is a very good service however this is where my next problem started. The technician indicated that they could not attend for 9 days and if the oven required a part it would take up to 14 days to obtain the part IF it is in Australia and 4 weeks if it had to be sent from Germany. There would also be a waiting time for the technician to attend once the part had arrived. My experience with the oven up until now has been a joy and it does exactly what it says it will do and does it very well but the downtime I experienced was unnecessary The technician who attended gave an easy fix. Please read my response to this review for details.

Great oven, had descaling issues which are hopefully solved now – In general a great product and we love using it. However we had an annoying issue with descaling. You can't turn off mandatory descaling and or… Read more

descaling cycle interrupted with 9 minutes to go in a 41 min cycle, no way to get around it.

We only fill it with filtered water, so we thought descaling shouldn't be necessary at all. During a service visit from Miele the technician explained it is designed to run on normal tap water and i shouldn't fill with filtered water. That caused a problem that was fixed during the visit.

So far we didnt need to descale after that visit, I trust it is sorted now.
