poor - it will either under-toast or burn, the browning control knob is quite loose. Spring to eject toast is too strong, almost chucking it out onto the floor. The crumb tray is too small & crumbs get caught in the bottom of the slots - no wonder they warn that the toaster may catch fire.

the same amount of brownness on the one setting for all types of bread, fresh or frozen - c. 1.7 on the dial in my case.

It takes no longer to cook frozen bread than fresh, so it must have some smart sensors (hand-me-down from the Breville parent product?).

A very different device from the conventional electronic toaster of yore, but once you have it dialled in, it's great, and well worth the effort for the price.

Where previously I was between 2-3 to get a light toast, now I'm between 4-5 ? [2 slices] So, it's heating power is a bit weak and quite slow to pop up. Also, an uneven toasting. Cheers. John

Works fine but short lived. First one stopped working at 12mths so took it back to good guys for a warranty replacement. Second one just stopped working at 12mths & 3mths. Not buying another kambrook. Show details
