charge and the operating time came down to a measly 10 minutes and the suction , sucked.
Eventually I decided on this Shark .
It was smaller than the photos would have you believe ,when it arrived I pieced it together and took it for a spin.
The suction was fantastic and I found on some surfaces I had to open the relief valve to drop the suction power .
I tried it with the canister detached and then with the wand detached , using to reach up into the ceiling for stray cobwebs and going under low furniture and my bed .
I then without telling my wife , went over some rooms she had vacuumed a few days earlier with the older vacuum cleaner she swears by, and as you can see In the photo I ended up with a canister full of dust and grime .
I have included a photo of the old vacuum cleaner, a well known brand that has factories all over the planet , and a well respected brand at that.
Out of curiosity I compared the noise level to the old vacuum cleaner, because this Shark seemed very quiet in comparison but the decibel reading were 88db for the old model and 80db for the Shark.
I put what I was hearing down to a different pitch level in the noise a bit like comparing bass to a midrange or treble.
The Shark was used on mainly wooden floors with plenty of rugs and hall runners in the mix . I didn't bother to lower the suction when shifting from the rugs to the wooden floor , it was not necessary, it was only the small light weight mats than presented a problem with the suction being too strong for these .
You have heard of washing machines swallowing socks never to be seen again well, this vacuum cleaner did the same thing , at first I could not find it in the hosing but then spotted it in the actual barrel with all the rubbish.
A couple of gripes here .
I found I could not sustain vacuuming the ceiling for long because the sheer weight of the hose and fittings were too much for me, being old, tired and decrepid probably explains why.
The other thing is, the cannister when detached is clumsy, there is no up or down unless you are actually holding it with one hand a bit like those old fashion astronauts walking to the rocket with their aux air tank , it falls all over the place. One more thing , I found the brush sliding attachment would not stay in place on the wand until I physically bent the plastic locking mechanism.
All in All I am more than satisfied , it does the job , is not to heavy to push around and with being able to detach parts to suit my needs it proved more than just a common old vacuum cleaner .
Incidentally, I got this at a steal , as there was no stock so had to wait a few weeks, but when it was in stock the price shot up to the recommended retail price only to fall again a few days later, so just be careful when buying this item as the price is volatile and never pay full price, just shop around.

I have a dog and a daughter with long hair, so was excited by the advertisement of hair not looping around the rollers. It is true, the hair doesn't loop, but it has to go somewhere and gets clogged in the tube as a huge hair snake.
This vacuum is not great if you have stairs. You can't easily use it on the stairs due to it being heavy, and as soon as the foot locks into a straight position, the suction turns off. You need to use the handheld head to do stairs, so a bit of mucking around changing attachments there.
The batteries have become extremely hard to get off the machine. My very strong husband has to use all his strength to push the release button in.
The filter gets clogged very easily. We cleaned it as per the Shark recommendations but it now has a loud high pitched noise. I took it back to Harvey Norman and was told that the motor is not getting enough air flow because I vacuum up pet hair! The whole reason I bought this model was because it is promoted as being great for pet hair. Even has 'Pet Pro' in the name.

practically vibrates the dust, sand or dirt on carpet making it easy to pick up. It also has three different settings, I like to keep it on the middle mode which automatically ramps up the motor when detecting more. You can also change the stick to bend and reach hard to get to places like under the bed. It’s so easy to empty, I opted out of getting the auto empty stand as I just have no where to put it. So satisfying to see how much it picks up time and time again, 100% recommend!

hair, dead flies, small stones and other debris. Unlike the Dyson. It doesn't quite get right into the corners, but it's easy to pop the head off and just use the tube to get those little bits. I love how it auto increases the suction against the skirting boards. The bend/hinge in the pipe is great for getting under low furniture and you don't have to wrestle with it to do it. I do have three dogs in my house so there is a significant amount of pet hair. On occasion the bend will get blocked, but it's easy enough to clear, once straightened out again. I have only once had to stick something down the pipe to clear it. (There was a small piece of cardboard, wedged in it). The included tools are great. The canister that collects the dirt on the vacuum is small, but that's the beauty of the empty system. You just dock it and it empties in about 5 seconds. I have a 4 bedroom house with hard floors, no carpet. The battery lasts really well. I empty the dust collection canister about once a month. Overall it's been a great purchase. I have only had it for 3 months, but so far so good.

helps he owned an older model. What convinced me was the 2x Battery, No hair roller, bending feature, suction, car kit & the 2 year replacement Guarantee. Harvey Norman gave me great deal too. Don't even look for another battery operated vacuum cleaner, this is the one. I probably will still buy a corded vacuum cleaner as it is handy. This rates twice stronger than other battery operated vacuum and still the suction strength according to the Sales person was like 200 vs 1800. It's still great for my home use!

powerful. It easily picks up sand, dirt, and dog hair from the car, which was the main reason I purchased it, and it handles the job effortlessly.
It also comes with a good range of attachments, making it very handy for getting into tight spaces, along the seats, and around other hard-to-reach areas in the car. The size is perfect as well—compact, easy to store, and quick to grab whenever you need it.
My only small criticism is that it would be nice to be able to dial the suction back a little, as it can be very strong depending on what you’re cleaning. I would also love to see an attachment with soft bristles included, as that would be great for more delicate interior surfaces.
I haven’t had the chance to try the wet suction feature yet, so I can’t comment on that part just yet, but if it performs anywhere near as well as the dry suction, it should be excellent.
Overall, I’m very happy with this vacuum. It’s powerful, convenient, and does a fantastic job keeping the car clean—especially if you’re dealing with sand or pet hair.
Pros: ✔ Extremely powerful suction for a small vacuum ✔ Excellent for sand, dirt, and dog hair in the car ✔ Good range of attachments ✔ Compact and easy to store
Cons: ✖ No option to adjust suction power ✖ A soft-bristle attachment would be a great addition
Suggestion for Shark: It would be fantastic if Shark offered an optional soft-bristle attachment for this model, as it would make it even better for cleaning delicate surfaces inside vehicles.

better than the old Dustbuster with great suction and fine battery life.
I’ve done the car and cleaned up the carpet after packing away the Christmas tree and I was impressed by how quick and effective it was. The rotary brush head works really well and unit itself is compact and lightweight.
The reviews are correct that waste capacity is small but it’s quick and easy to empty so not an issue. It’s also loud and very high pitched but what do you expect it’s a vacuum it’s not supposed to be quiet.
Bought on sale for $99 which is good value.
