2026, nearly five months after my purchase, ASUS has still not honoured this promotion. I bought an ASUS PRIME RTX 5070 Ti O16G from Umart in December 2025 for $1,419, which qualified for a $100 eGift card under their Holiday Magic promotion. I submitted my claim within the eligible period.
27 February 2026 I emailed ASUS with my invoice, serial number and photos. They replied asking for clearer photos. I provided them on 10 March. After that, complete silence across two separate contact channels despite follow-ups on 12 and 23 March.
I sent a formal letter of demand on 15 April. ASUS escalated internally and promised a response. Nothing since.
Complaints have been lodged with ACCC, NSW Fair Trading, and CBS SA.
If you never receive the promised promotion, you are simply paying full price for something that was advertised at a discount. That is not a deal. That is false advertising.

trend security features and a MESH pair for better coverage, but boy... They simply do not work out of the box, nor after five frustrating hours of firmware updates, factory resets, mesh pairing, reconfiguring... I could not get ANY of the Wifi channels stable, and xbox plugged directly into the mesh unit couldn't get an IP address nor connect to wifi.. several devices were refused connection for "wrong password" when it wasn't, despite trying all the legacy WPA2 connection methods.
In the end I've given up, the firmware is clearly a mess, and the units to put it plainly are not fit for purpose and are going back to the shop for a refund.
I'm a 30 years long IT pro, used to setting these things up for other people, so you can bet I was up until I was so frustrated I could hardly speak... this will keep me awake tonight!

Device is lightest but not strong enough and curves on each front corner, preventing it sitting flush on the keyboard, with the pressure eventually damaging/cracking the screen in each corner. Asus Brisbane repairer are only located in Banyo and open Monday to Friday 9-5. Advised I need to drop the machine off as they consider it consumer induced damage, and pay a fee for assessment up to $160. This device is too 'brittle' for students and the follow up is not supportive for families who have students trying to learn. We purchased another, smaller Asus 3 years ago (zen book) and have not had this problem as the case is stronger case.

and professional design work. The QD-OLED panel delivers the "infinite" blacks you’d expect, but it’s the 175Hz refresh rate and 0.03ms response time that steal the show—motion is flawlessly smooth with zero blur.
Why it’s worth it:
Vibrant Accuracy: 99% DCI-P3 color gamut makes every frame pop.
Smart Features: The built-in proximity sensor and "Uniform Brightness" setting are game-changers for OLED longevity.
Connectivity: Includes HDMI 2.1 and a USB-C port (though it only offers 15W power delivery).
The Bottom Line: If you want a 34-inch monitor that transitions seamlessly from high-speed competitive gaming to color-critical creative tasks, this is the one to beat.

regular use functions.
The display whilst not being the high end version has decent brightness , can be used in sunlight and performs well inside games.
The Performance is good for me with the only issues being some of the included bloatware but that's was easily addressed.
When under a full load it was not loud fans wise or never got as hot as my previous machine. The USB C ports run Video no problems.
Whilst the inbuilt speakers are not great they are a lot better than most unbranded sound systems. For a laptop in this price range they were probably the best I came across. Decent Battery performance.
Cons
Although it has 4 USB ports the mix being 2 USB type A and 2 USB Type C I do wish it had one more type A port as by the time a mouse and keyboard are connected you only have Type C ports available.
However More an Issue with me as I didn't think the mix would cause a problem. It does if you want to connect a USB memory stick with a Type A connector. Not a deal breaker but long term it will need a work around like a hub or dual wireless setup for the keyboard and/or mouse. Again not a big deal as you can identify this at the time of purchase.
I usually use a Laptop connected to external power and there is no problem with this one other than the connector. That being it's location on the side. It would be better with a rear connector IMHO but the power supply does have a Right Angled plug. Only really an issue if you move it around whilst connected.
For me it could do with more storage as I use plenty of mods for the games I play. Again not a big deal as it has an additional internal connector for another SSD. Only one and not for a traditional HDD sized unit but it is a modern machine so an NVME unit is fine.
Overall
After having had a few laptops now for the money this one is one of the best. Whilst it isn't a lightweight the 90WH battery and robust feel and construction leaves me confident in it's long term future. I don't think you could go wrong for the money with it's Gaming Video Performance and low power usage when not running flat out. It does behave strangely on occasion but this was always due to Windows 11. One day I figure that out.

minimalistic, great finish all around. - functions well: we've had great fast coverage all around the home, reliable and no drops as of yet (been using it for 3 weeks now). Designers did a great job packing the antennas into this small, elegant cube. - fast set-up when using wired backhaul using website asusrouter.com - each node has WAN and a WAN/LAN inputs, which means any can act as a main router and the other 2 will act as the nodes - Can be connected by wired/ethernet backhaul (much faster than wireless backhaul connection) - doesn't overheat, safe to touch when used extensively, kid-friendly - Customer service surprisingly very good, very responsible, very knowledgeable with very little wait times
Cons - horrible experience setting up using the App (even over wired backhaul). Just don't use the App and use the website to setup. - pricey if you're paying full price. I would wait for a sale (got mine price matched with Amazon Aus by JB HiFi) - feels light (mostly plastic construction), could potentially break if drops from a shelf - each router/node requires a powerpoint connection. Powerpoint connection a little bulky, and may not squeeze behind cabinets etc, so your furniture may need to stick out more
Overall, great design and great reliable coverage. The App install is a hit and miss, I recommend using the website to install. I'd recommend to a friend if its on sale.

It comes bundled with both USB Y cable & a USB C cable but the actual connection from the drive is a Mini USB 2.0 (USB Mini B to be precise) . I'm not sure why USB C directly from the drive isn't used but it doesn't appear to effect the performance of the drive.
All in all, a very thin, very stylish solution to the lack of internal optical drives in modern PC's that can be used with your TV & look great & unobtrusive at the same time.
Same/Better Performance in a shorter card? Yes please. We swapped over from the windforce cards to these because of the better fit. Cards are .5 thicker but a whole extra fan shorter. A great trade for SFF builds. Quiet.

but not very user friendly.
With all that room (and $$) they avoided putting a separate number pad and Pageup/down etc.
They just combined it all and then to save another $0.03 they didn't put a light on the Numlock key, so you can't tell if you are in Number mode, or PageUp/down mode. Seriously..
Then because there was so much blank space left, they used very large keys and spaced them out to fill the space better.
This was then put back close to the screen so you have to reach a long way to get to the keys.
Then to fill the space between the keyboard and the front of the work area, they added a touch pad large enough to land a small helicopter on. This means you never quite know what is going to happen because you have to move your hand - not just your fingers to use it.
End result, they probably saved a couple of dollars but rendered the keyboard and touch pad useless in terms of functionality.
Using it makes me feel like a character in Gorillas in the mist, but it's not Jane Goodall. Probably more like the designers,
I like the 18" screen.

No need to regularly reboot. -Good longevity (never had a router fail) -Works straight out of the box -Passing through IP addresses is fairly easy -Advanced settings are fairly easy to find, use and access -User friendly graphical interface

it looks like it's still working, nothing shows up in the logs but it just won't connect to any devices in the house. Sometimes it keeps the connection to some devices but drops others. This happens multiple times a day. No amount of troubleshooting has been able to isolate the problem, let alone fix it, except I found out many other Asus users also have this issue and nobody has any idea what's causing it, except for suspected terrible firmware. Asus support seems to have no idea either. At least now I know why it was so heavily discounted (50%) when I purchased it.
Beware: If you commit the sin of forgetting your Asus account login password (not for the router settings page, but for the inevitable app that you need to download for any kind of electronic product nowadays), the router locks you out. There is nothing to do but factory reset the whole device and start again from scratch. A password recovery email or backup security questions would be extremely helpful here! But nothing like that exists for the Asus router. In short, this unit is going to the recycling centre and I'm buying something else, anything but Asus. Do not make the same mistake I did: stay away from Asus.

in performance and can tackle a range of gaming, AI and intensive work tasks. Stylistically, it's on the 'understated' side and can blend into most builds and has a more mature feel.
Acoustically it's been very quiet (but it's only early days).
At a superficial level the build quality feels good - but I'm not about to put this aspect to test.
Cons: There could have been more clear information on its technical specifications. The stated dimensions of the card do not include the AIO pipes - so you may need to look into either getting a bigger case, a vertical mounting kit, or leaving your side panel open.
Armoury crate is annoying.
Neutral (i.e. not taken into account for my overall score): Yes, it's expensive, and there may be better value for money options, but if you buy this card and then complain about it's price - that's on you.
There have also been well publicised issues with drivers/ROPs etc. but as my card had the correct amount of ROPs and the driver issues have not effected my usage of the card this has not impacted my review.

alternative input. The problem is the software and firmware this comes loaded with - and the "security" chips that bricked this computer within the first month. This computer's pre-installed version of Windows 11 is so full of intrusive bloatware that it is really tedious to get down to any work, and the BIOS settings seem to be designed in multiple ways to prevent the installation of any alternative, so that even if you can get it to look for an alternative (USB) device to boot from, it can't read it (and yes, I pretested on my desktop).
After 5 or 6 attempts with different USB sticks with different tweaks (eg MBR vs GPT), the BIOS suddenly locked me out, demanding a password - and I had never set a BIOS password, so I was now stuck. Of course the ASUS service department (when it finally got a human involved, which took a week of back and forth with A.I. systems - why does Artificial Stupidity have the acronym "A.I." - wouldn't believe I had not set and then forgotten a password, and wouldn't reset the system under warranty.
I don't blame the ASUS service department for that, and was prepared to pay for the factory reset, which involves the local agents sending my proof of purchase (again) to ASUS and getting a special secret code - BUT that process didn't work on this laptop's motherboard, maybe by accidental design issues, but more probably because the BIOS hardware system on this laptop is faulty - SO ASUS WANTS ME TO PAY ANOTHER $1000 TO REPLACE THE MOTHERBOARD on a computer less than a month old!
This is not a service issue but a design issue: the "security" features built into the motherboard of this computer virtually lock it to the factory-installed bloatware, and any attempt to change that risks making that irretrievable - and according to the technician may prevent even future Windows updates.

turn it off and then attach it to your computer and copy the files onto it (that's the reason for 1 star). However, do not attempt to copy files with it turned on via wifi as it slows down to less than 50 k/s (minus a star). Setting it up on the Phone is OK to change the password and setting it up on an Apple Mac is fine (as long as you go to Network Preferences and connect to it 1st (every time) and then remember to go to Connect Server and find it (or make an alias for it). The instructions for a PC are totally WRONG as Windows 10 update 1903 onwards has prevented any files being accessed from shared devices so the instruction to use file://192.168.96.98 is wrong (minus another star). You cannot speak to an Asus Support staff member because this device does not warrant that luxury (minus another star). Instead you have to log on to their website and send them an email - good luck waiting for a reply that will offer the correct assistance - after 1 month and 3 feedback survey emails (that do not give the opportunity to write anything), I have received NO SUPPORT. So I have now sent emails to Asus in the UK, Taiwan and the USA, hoping someone in the world has the skills/knowledge to provide the correct instructions to connect the Travelair drive to a PC running Windows 10 (Update 1903) via wifi. On my Sony TV, I tried four different media/video TV Android apps before finding one (Nova) that played MP4 movies - only to find that the video will stop randomly (and show a black screen) due to the Sony TV losing wifi signal from the Asus Travelair drive (the Asus Travelair drive is next to the TV and both devices have no barriers to the wifi router)? No updates are available. Be careful resetting the Travelair drive as it locked up twice when I tried to change the password (I got "Communication Problem" or "Error" messages and a spinning wheel (of death)) when I tried to change the original (blank) password (minus another star). So it has taken me many hours trying to fix the problems before finally watching a video from it on the TV, Apple Macbook and my phone (with a few random stops (or loss of signal)). Playing videos on an Apple Mac were OK (sometimes it paused to buffer). So, I'm not impressed with much about it. My recommendation is NOT to buy this device (the review sites state the competition is better - but I bought mine locally due to COVID-19 shipping problems).
Update, I've settled on a single AX11000 (eight antenna) unit, and this has remained more or less… Read more
