corner of the control panel. I was devastated, then contacted customer service for an exchange. I took the box and return label to our local post office, but was told by the post office they won’t take it due to the size and told me to contact the sender. I called customer service again, Mark picked up the call. He acknowledged my concerns immediately and contacted Australian Post for some answers, then he offered me a few options to solve this matter. I’m glad this has been settled and he has been so patient and professional.

Lovely at first like all frying pan and saucepans however after handwashing only, wooden ornplastic utensils used and only around 1 year old the saucepan is pitting. Disappointed because of the price tag these came with!

Purchased a 32 cm frying pan. Cleaned and seasoned as instructed. Smoking and burnt stains occurred within the first 60 seconds of usage. I should haves saved my time going to House to purchase and just tore up $100 to put in the bin.

I bought one last week, May 1 2026, spent $89.99 to get what the sales person said was her new favourite fry pan. Took it home and seasoned it as per… Read more

instructions, wiped it clean, and went to use it the same evening. Added oil, then popped two eggs to fry in.....they stuck to the bottom. So disappointed, as this was the most i had ever spent on a fry pan. The first sticker on the cardboard packaging it came in said. 'non stick'. So my suggestion is that if what they say on the sales talk, and the packaging is simply not true, I should get my money back. Ill keep you posted as to how this goes!!

The non stick surface failed in a few weeks and reseasoning did not work, very dissapointing for a higher price point product

Handles get rediculously hot even with holders. To dangerous to use. Wish I had read these reviews before purchasing. Very disappointed because I thought that Baccarat had a good name.

Very disappointing after 5 years hardly used. Never burnt or scratched but a chunk of enamel has come off. It was a gift so I don't have a receipt so even if it has a warranty they will not assist. Expected more i would not recommend this pot.

Functional, effective and visually attractive – Purchased this stovetop kettle several weeks ago with some reservations due to several negative reviews. After several weeks use on our induction… Read more

cooktop my experience is that the kettle is simple to fill with the lid being a snug fit but not difficult to remove. The kettle happily heats on the "boost" setting on our induction cooktop and boils within several minutes. The section of the handle which is not covered by black insulated material does get warm during use but does not get that hot that it it cannot be touched whilst flipping up the spout whistle to allow pouring. The whistle itself has an insulated section to allow it to be flipped back for pouring which can easily be operated without any risk of touching heated parts of the whistle. Finally the visual appearance of the kettle is stunning and looks great when left on a wooden block near the cooktop.

Cooking and functionality were great, but unfortunately crock cracked after around 12 months. I’m fairly careful with it, so hard to understand how - just came home to find all the liquid and leaked from my meal into the crockpot base.

A pleasant surprise in our busy world of today – Being retired pensioners and having owned a set of three magnificent Baccarat stainless steel saucepans for a number of years, we noted a bakelite… Read more

handle on our 20cm saucepan had developed a longitudenal crack, for 3/4 of the handle length. I was aware our saucepans came with a lifetime warranty, and Emailed Baccarat Australia, describing our dilema. Our mail was quickly responded to by a pleasant and very Customer Service orientated employee, named "Victoria". She requested details of the bakelite handle crack, with photographs of the damaged handle and base of the saucepan. She also requested my home address, and a short series of emails ensued. I was then advised my saucepan model was now obsolete. Baccarat Australia requested I choose from two similar sized, but more modern selection, of saucepans, and we chose the Baccarat Capri 20cm saucepan with glass lid and insulated handles as a replacement. Our corresposdence, in very short time, saw Baccarat Australia, with the kind assistance of Victoria, immediately forward within the week, a full replacement, brand new, Baccarat Capri 20cm saucepan & glass lid. Baccarat honoured their lifetime warranty without hesitation, and I cannot thank Baccarat and Victoria enough for their understanding, service and friendliness throughout our conversations. We are so happy with this replacement saucepan, and the handles remain cool enough to handle whilst cooking, and the weight of this 20cm saucepan is really manageable for its size. We couldn't be happier with Baccarat, and Victoria has our vote also.

The battery is the only real issue.

the easiest thing to clean especially after making ice-cream (always hard to get all the fatty residue completely clean). When we were setting it up for another party I noticed a big crack in the handle (the silver cap ended up falling off revealing it was a pathetically thin bit of plastic. Also the locking mechanisms (x3) all showed signs of cracking, to the point little bits were falling off. As I only had the eftpos receipt (which they should have stapled to my main receipt but cest la vie), had the usual "we can't do anything without the proper receipt" line from the lady at the store. This violates Australian Consumer Law, as you can use credit card receipt as proof of purchase, and I was in their loyalty club so they had my receipt anyway. When i offered to bring up the clause in the law, and pointed out that the vessel cracking and leaking DOES consitute a major failuer, the lady begrudgenly refunded my money. Given the retailer "claims" its worth $1000 but "on special for $499", its interesting that google search shows it with a normal price of "upto $499"). Given some of the other reviews have mentioned similar issues with the quality of the product, they really should consider a recall...

using "julienne" blade to "dice". The motor is pretty weak and the grating blade broke while I was grating cheese. The slicer works but you have 3 different sized blades rather than 1 solid adjustable one. The plastic of the bowl is so brittle that it chipped when it dropped off the drying rack first time I used it. This is just not a quality product and definately not worth the money I paid for it. I have contacted Robins Kitchen where I bought it and waiting for them to let me know about a refund.

Great Knives – There are 8 knives in the set plus a steel and the block itself. The full retail price of $399 or thereabouts was probably a bit hopeful and they… Read more

were routinely available for $140 or so. At that price they are very good value indeed (this set is discontinued but I note you can still buy individual knives at $30-$40 each).

These look to be a copy of Wustof Classic Ikon, and they have done a great job:

- Bolsterles design

- Very cleanly forged

- Great heft and balance (except for mini chef knife)

- Good steel (same as Wustof DIN 1.4116, ice hardened HRC 55)

- Great factory edge

- Good looking block

After nearly a year of use there are no chips on the blades and the synthetic handles are like new (I don't put them in the dishwasher, that will weather the handles and blunt the edges). Now 8 knives is essentially too many - I really only use the Chef, Mini Chef and Paring knives. The bread knife is superfluous as either of Chef's cut crusty loaves easily. My only complaint about the design is the balance of the Mini Chef - it is handle heavy, whereas the Chef is completely neutral, would have been great if they were both the same (and neutral).

Edge retention is good. I started using the steel to stop them losing their edge, but probably could have prolonged that for 3 months or so. The steel makes the edge a little rough looking compared to the factory grind, however you can use a stone to get a completely clean edge again.

You can modify the grind (I've got mine re-edged to 15 degrees instead of the factory 20), but then retention does suffer noticeably - only do this if you like sharpening knives! However the usage does improve immensely (I note that the Wustof Ikon is edged at 15 degrees...so the steel is in theory able to handle it).

Probably worth noting that the bolsterless design (remember I said they are a copy of Wustof Classic Ikon), means you can cut yourself really seriously on the heel of the blade. Proper finger/hand guarding is needed, especially as the Chef's knife is heavy - if it gets you it will hurt!
