sound like much on paper, but in practice it feels quite heavy during normal use. After a short time vacuuming, both my wife and I experience wrist soreness and fatigue. For a stick vacuum, I expected something lighter and easier to handle.

I also tried to claim the advertised bonus offer that came with the promotion, but the redemption had to be submitted within 14 days of purchase. Over the Christmas period this is very difficult to manage, and I feel the claim window should be more reasonable given the time of year and how busy people are.

Overall, the vacuum works, but the weight and the tight redemption timeframe for the promotion have left us disappointed with the purchase.

Absolutely do not buy this product or any products from this brand. This brand is a classic Case of when the warranty runs out. The product fails and… Read more

they’re unwilling to stand behind it. We bought this machine a couple of years ago which is only been used a handful of times. I would say maybe seven times in the past three years. Was using it one day to clean a spot on a carpet and then developed a burning smell. The process with customer service was an absolute nightmare. We had to send the product back to the warehouse which was not in the same state. They only offered to send the product through Australia Post which however do not take products this heavy or this size at most locations, I asked the team at Bissell to give me a different courier company however they refused The product was sent and apparently repaired by them. Once they told me the product was on its way back to me. They never advise what was wrong with it. I asked multiple times in emails if they could tell me what was wrong with the machine and they ignored the question every single time or gave me a very vague response. I have now gone to use the product after receiving it back and after 20 minutes of a light spot clean on a sofa the machine stop spraying. I followed all instructions on their website. Ended up calling customer service for where they told me to take the plate off and view the belt. The belt has now come off it track and is split causing black debris to be all through the machine. Considering this machine has not been used since been in their repair, it is very disappointing. Customer service was only willing to offer me as a goodwill gesture a replacement belt or at my own cost to have it repaired by them, including having to ship a heavy product back to their warehouse which would just be unfeasible. I said as this product has literally just been in their maintenance team. This issue should not have happened. They are unwilling to come to the party or help in anyway. Besides sending a replacement belt. Product is obviously faulty. They are not willing to divulge what was wrong with the machine obviously there is a known error that they are aware of and not willing to stand behind their product. I am very disappointed in this brand as I thought this brand was a good brand. Do yourself a favour and do not pick yourself up anything from this. It is not worth the hassle or your time. Buy a different brand entirely.

Not a quality product — disappointing durability and post-sales support Pros: 1. Easy to use 2. Performed adequately when it was working Cons:… Read more

1.Very limited durability 2.Failed after minimal use 3. No goodwill in support 4. Paid repair options only

I purchased the Bissell Crosswave Cordless Max 2765G in January 2023 and used it very sparingly, approximately once every 5–6 months, for cleaning our balcony and terrace tiles. Throughout the time we owned it, the machine was carefully maintained, cleaned after each use, and stored properly.

In March 2026, when I took it out for a routine clean, it would not start. I tried several troubleshooting methods and also followed the additional advice provided by customer support, but nothing resolved the issue.

Although the product was just outside its warranty, I was still disappointed that no goodwill assistance was offered, especially considering how lightly it had been used and how carefully it had been maintained. Rather than backing their product and rewarding my custom with a goodwill solution, I was told my only options were paid repair through a local technician or sending it back to Bissell for 'assessment' at my expense.

For a product at this price point that had such light use, this was extremely disappointing. Other brands often show more flexibility in circumstances like this, particularly when the issue arises soon after the warranty period and the product has clearly been well maintained. Unfortunately, that was not my experience here.

Overall, this was a disappointing product and a disappointing customer service experience. Based on this, I would not buy Bissell again.

Despite jumping on the wet patches straight away with absorbent towel and a specific dog antibacterial cleaner, there are visible stains on the carpet.

This machine was very easy to assemble (and disassemble to clean out the dirty water tank). Suction is excellent, although very noisy and I keep the pups in another room when I’m using it. Easy to move around. Easy and fun to use. The results were like magic. I’m happy with my purchase and hope this performance continues. Now experimenting with cleaning products.

wow. We did our friends carpet after her little dogs kept having accidents on it, she was amazed as well to see results, the carpet came up nicer then when she moved in. The Bissell solutions smell clean and fresh after cleaning for days, weeks. Easy to use, pretty straightforward how to fill and empty. After reading a particular review saying ‘renters dream’ is what sold us to purchase it. We highly recommended this machine to anyone with carpets. We will never need to pay anyone from here on in to clean our carpets. Money well spent on this machine we have nic named our ‘Bissell Beast’. LOVE it.

It sucks, unfortunately metaphorically. I had hopes that the release of a retail domestic version of a steam cleaner would perform even half as… Read more

well as a commercial model, but not even close.

How I tested it? I tried cleaning a small low-pile carpet.

"Steam" Part 1 - No, first it is a water pistol every time * it squirts a spray of water first when the steam trigger is pulled - every time you pull the trigger - so carry with you a bucket

"Steam" Part 2 - Not steam, rather a Luke warm mist * the supposed steam is not steam, it is just a warmish atomised mist spray

"Suction" - It's Pre-Blocked * the supposed suction is pre-filtered through a narrow gap that blocks rapidly For every square foot or two of carpet, I had to stop, and go to the tap to clean out the suction head (I was using the largest one of the three supplied

The Hose - Stiff * the rippled (or if you want to call it 'corrugated') hose is made of a rigid plastic. This means you have to position the machine at a precise distance away from you: not too far or you won't reach your spot, but also not too close because the hose does not bend, so you will have to start doing awkward things with your elbow to try to get the suction head to the spot you are trying to clean.

Noise? - Yep, screams as if it is angry that it wasn't designed better

So what is good about this?

It looks okay, it has nice dimensions, compact, the water tanks are easily removed and replaced, the suction heads are reasonably easily opened up to rinse to unclog - and they will clog quickly.

Conclusion:

Don't buy one.

I do not know whether other retail versions of "steam cleaners" are any good, but if this is the benchmark and you want a steam cleaner you will need to look at commercial models.

This is by far one of the worst Vacuum cleaner I ever owned. Bought it for my Mom, originally wanted a regular cordless vacuum but a friend convinced… Read more

us to get the mop one because "it's so convenient". Turns out the vacuum is complete garbage, doesn't do any good at either vacuuming or moping, the engine is very weak and doesn't suck well at all, the whole system is garbage and doesn't get the dirty water inside the tank, so it ends up back on your floor... It works for about 10 minutes then needs to be completely cleaned out so it doesn't leave dirty water everywhere. The product was advertised as being of good quality, even above commercial grade but it's worst than that. I do not recommend this product or that Brand that has poor ratings overall.

I'm very disappointed as reviews I had read seemed positive. Very short cable - I have attached a 10m extension lead so I don't have to change sockets for every room in the house. Cleans carpets well, for the areas it can reach. Wooden floors also ok but the head is so large it can't access small spaces eg round toilet or bathroom fixtures.

after only one use - though it is very effective. I suspect I'll have to buy several replacements on an ongoing basis and wonder if it wouldn't be better made of different material. Also the "toolbox" attached to the cleaner is inclined to slip around or off with handling as is necessary because of the weight of the unit. And it would be better if there was a continuous steam function instead of holding the steam trigger all the time which is tiring particularly when moving around a heavy unit. But the customer service is a joke. I had to enquire of Bissell whether the enclosed squeegee was faulty because it lacked the necessary cylindrical component to attach it to the unit. We went through the usual rigarmarole - send photo etc., only to discover squeegee must be attached to upholstery cleaning utensil. Enquired of Bissell why there is nothing NOTHING to this effect in the manual and never received a response. Seriously, don't waste my time, don't waste other customers' time by leaving such basic information out of the manual. It demonstrates a serious discourtesy to your customers.

This is a very handy unit for doing spot cleaning. Having said that, I didn't care what it did so long as it was able to clean cat urine from the… Read more

plush carpet. Our old cat got stressed after a house move and decided that using one of the bedrooms for urinating was the thing to do. Now this smell to some people will "outlast religion" in the words of Kenny. It does that to me and is intolerable. Cats will keep going back to the same spot as well so it was a problem that just wouldn't go away. I had used carpet cleaner on it and a new and innovative Australian cat/dog urine removal spray set but all to no avail. I will point out that I have a high sensitivity to this compared to others so me not smelling it isn't the same as asking other people if they don't. The only thing I had not tried was a motorised carpet cleaner I could use at home.

I spent a long time looking for the right unit, right features, right ecosystem of chemistry, best reviews AND being able to get it at the right price before deciding on this unit. Bissell has a strong history of good hardware for cleaning and I also have a Bissell steam clean unit (hand held) which is great so I was comfortable it met the brief for pet odor relief and cleaning.

The unit is light, carries a fair bit of water and can collect that water quite effectively from the carpet (so long as you do this right which I didn't initially). Hold the nozzle with full spray on, soak the carpet whilst moving in lines, sucking it up and then go over it without soaking it, just sucking up the water. Needs a bit of time to take as much water as possible. The unit comes with quite a few heads for different applications i.e. carpet (deep vs shallow), upholstery on furniture, curtains etc. My fixed mission was to use the deep carpet cleaning head only.

I've now been over the spot 5 or 6 times (rather than once or twice as the marketing would suggest) to get this smell out. I have used the Bissell (ONLY) carpet chemicals for pet odors as well as the pre-treatment spray which you put on for 24 hours to use enzymes to break down the urine chemistry. For most people this seemed to work, they can no longer smell the odor at all. But only after the 5th session did I get that same result. So in this way it works for most people. However, if you rub your hand on the carpet where the problem occurred, it still stinks. This may be acceptable to some, but i'm disappointed in the effort it took to get that far. Hence the 3 stars for this application. It just doesn't seem like the carpet will literally be clean of the smell.

I had a section of carpet maybe 1 metre long by 30 cm deep to clean (multiple spots same area). So I took my time. The resulting water sucked up was literally urine coloured, so you can tell it's getting to work well, but I have to wonder what was missing to not fix it completely.

Great unit though. Not really loud, lots of suction, easy to put water into and take the water off from. Easy to clean, good accessories. Hose is quite short curiously enough. I suspect that may be due to keeping maximum suction going at a short distance or something, but no science behind my observation.

So overall, poor result given what I was trying to achieve. Carpet looks very clean but rubbing it shows it still has something in/on it. It could be awesome for other work on shallower targets i.e. furniture, curtains, mats but I didn't get it for that.

there was 3 holes in the suction tube. I called, they sent a replacement because the VACUUM was still under warranty. I had to send my damaged one back which of course meant they'll put the same badly designed tube in it and send it out to someone else. They sent the wrong head. I had to send that back and then they sent the right one. Mind you I was without a vacuum all through this. Here I am not even another year later and I have a hole in the suction tube again. I contacted them. They offer me a 20% discount to buy that same defective reworked part or to buy a new vacuum. Because the vacuum is now out of warranty, past 1 year. They do not warranty the defective part they replaced separately. “This is unacceptable” I say. They have an obviously defective product, my vacuum isn't even 3 years old and I'm dealing with holes in the 2nd tube. “The best we can do is 25%” they say. Another 5%!? Are you out of your mind!? I tell them to escalate this to a higher up. They say I'll be contacted within a week by email with a decision. I received an email within an hour saying the same. That it's 25% and it's only valid while on chat or phone ordering through an agent with this complaint. Completely blown off. BISSELL you are a huge company. Your customer service should be extremely better. There is absolutely no reason my vacuum shouldn't have been replaced by the newer model, at the very least. Your vacuum lasted LESS THAN A YEAR and now I have to buy another. I promise you, IT WON'T BE A BISSELL.
