these since he was 4 months. The dvd goes through each letter of the alphabet and describes what each letter sounds like and words that start with that letter. eg: A is for acorn, ant etc.. my son is glued to the tv when the ABC dvd is on and if you block his vision he gets cranky! My son watches this dvd over and over and it never bored Partly animated and it also uses children and animals to describe letters After pressing play on dvd make sure you skip the Brainy Baby advertisement preview cause it runs for ages

for my children, and the downside is that if I use them before they are ready, they tend to play with these products in ways other than what they wer intended for. I'd recommend that you judge what level your child is at before introducing these 'educational' type games and products, as I've had to end up putting it away until they are mentally ready to use them the way they were meant to be used, otherwise, it's just a waste of money if they're played with willy nilly. Great concept, lots of different themes None that come to mind except the price
