Melbourne and immediately fell in love with their story. I swear by their Joey Swaddle Wrap. It's lightweight, effortless to put on and off (even if you're half asleep at 3 am in the morning). It also helps settle my little guy in his bassinet as he feels comfortable and snug in it. I also appreciated the fact that their muslin wraps are super soft and gentle on the skin. I had 3 but later discovered, after using them for everything, I needed more, so I bought another pack of 3. They feel so nice to touch and gentle when you use it against the sensitive skin of a newborn. I totally recommend this brand and will be featuring them in my "Top Things a New Mum Needs" post I will share on my Lifestyle blog.

Unsafe – I have a newborn on the larger side who managed to get the neck rise up and material stuck over his nose and face. Massive safety concern. There’s also an unnecessary amount of extra material. It is a nice breathable material on a positive note.

my (then) 4 month old son couldn't stay asleep as his 'startle reflex' - ie involuntary throwing of his arms out whilst sleeping - was sufficient to wake him up. This was solved by sleeping him in a Joey Pouch Swaddling Bag (which very gently restricts the arms to prevent them moving as far), and we then moved onto the Little Baby, Older Baby & Toddler-sized Sleeping Bags, until he became able to unzip the bags and take them off! The Sleeping Bags are brilliant as not only do they come in light, medium & heavy weights to suit the different seasons, but their design also stops them from coming off during sleep, whilst allowing unrestricted movement of the arms (post-startle reflex!) which allows the children to self-soothe to sleep, eg cuddle soft toy, thumb-sucking etc. No more waking up in the middle of the night to re-tuck in thrown off blankets! My daughter has been in the Bubbaroo Swaddling Bags & Sleeping Bags since she was born & her sleep has been very good. We've also got a Bubbaroo Blankie which is soft, breathable, medium-weight & great for Autumn/ Spring use, and the Annual Bubbaroo Calenders of very happy babies in their Bubbaroo products are cheerful and relaxing. Apart from the initial Swaddling Bag, all my Bubbaroo purchases have been via Bubbaroo website which has friendly prompt service. Very highly recommended!
