Roses chocolates have been in the past my favourite chocolates to be gifted. A few years ago Cadbury changed the flavours and I went right off them… Read more

and didn't want them gifted any more, but in the last year or so, the orange flavour milk chocolate has made it's way into the box and the chocolate tastes better than it was for those few short years when the centres were 'crunchy' and not to my liking. I am very happy with the change and now my family have a sure fire winner when gifting me a box of Roses on special occasions. Thank you Cadbury for listening to the feedback and making a beautiful box of Roses that I am proud to receive.

The recipe has changed recently and has completely ruined them.

The recipe for 70% old gold seems to have changed with new product packaging! I use it to make a nut crackle and this one tastes so bland and not the usual dark chocolate taste ! Will not buy again.

powder with real chocolate flavour and had the perfect level of sweetness. I ate it by the spoonful, and mixed it in cream to make a delicious chocolate cream. Then the product changed to a gritty consistently and was not very chocolatey and sickly sweet. They also changed the packaging to be a round tin. I had never bought it since. I keep hoping one day, they'll bring back the original. I wish I could find an old box, unopened. I would pay a small fortune to get my hands on one now.

to source Dutch processed brands (Coles, Woolworths or Nestle) which have no problem with. Cadbury’s website states that this Bourneville cocoa is Dutch processed too - however there’s no mention on the product’s packaging. Unfortunately I didn’t keep my receipt otherwise I’d try returning - since I’d bought an extra packet!

I tried a piece of Cadbury Dream that someone bought last week! However, it's more like a nightmare! It's dry, powdery or rough, and definitely not smooth - nothing like the original version decades ago!

hint of run flavour. When I used to eat this so many years ago it was great. Dark chocolate with a snap, and the run flavour was so enjoayable along with the raisins. It is nothing like that now. Typical fatty substance from Cadbury and just no flavour. Angry and disappointed. !!

The chocolate is not the same, and its not chewy like it was. The taste used to linger, yet no longer. Its no wonder its on sale at the servo. Cadbury has changed the recipe.

It's not what it used to be. What happened to this once nice chocolate? It has a picture of dark chocolate on the wrapper. Open it up, and you get… Read more

the smell of sweet milk chocolate, not the sharp smell of dark chocolate. Then, the product looks nothing like the picture on the wrapper; it tastes like milk chocolate with rum and raisins. I called the consumer hotline, and they claim the recipe has not changed, (yet an online search contradicts what they claim). I suspect some gaslighting is happening. As I put the rum & raisin next to plain old old gold dark chocolate, it is dark and bitter, how it should be, not like the monstrosity it tried pretending to be what it used to be. If milk and dark chocolate had a love child, this would be it. Which one is actual dark chocolate? To me, only one of them is.

Cadbury... NOT HAPPY JAN!

pack expecting to have a burst of chocolatey raspberry taste fill my mouth. Well whilst the milk chocolate was ever so tasty and delicious, there were also the little bits of how do I put it....raspberry sugar bits floating in my mouth. These were rather hard and did not melt either. I couldn't taste flavours from the sugar bits. I had to spit these out as they were very hard bits. Good try Cadbury but do something about the raspberry sugar bits. Maybe you could use dried raspberry instead. And the raspberry seeds did not add to a fullfilling experience to the bite.

Hardly any nuts, disappointing. About 4 nuts in a 180g bar.

First of all it tastes nothing like a real cherry ripe bar. This has a drier, artificial sugary coconut taste. It's a shame since the rum and raisin flavour chocolate bar is really delicious.

Out of 37 chocolates, 30 were freddos and only 2 marvellous creations, 5 chomps. If I wanted freddos only I would have bought them. Waste of money and won't be buying again.

I purchased the Special Edition, Cadbury Old Gold Espresso Affogato chocolate. Yum. Delicious. If you enjoy coffee and a dark chocolate, try this chocolate. I hope Cadbury keep this on the market.

dreadful taste – what has happened to the flake.. its tastes awful now.. too sweet and fake.. cadburys has gone down hill since the yanks bought the business. hence American chocolate is so bad in general in taste and texture.
