birthday present to myself because my Taylormade RSi irons were starting to get a bit shabby. I looked at specs and professional reviews and took professional advice for easy to hit irons with particular attention to loft. After testing the 7 iron in a simulator I was then fitted for length in my local golf shop. Anyway, to cut a long story short, I have tried to play with these irons now for 6 weeks, taken them to the practice fairway a number of times but have found them almost impossible to hit. Okay' when I actually manage to get it right the 7 iron will travel about 125m and the PW about 90m. But 4 times out of 10 I am hitting the 7 iron weakly to the right (not a slice) and 5 times out of 10 I shank the PW, AW and GW. I no longer have any confidence in these irons and have reverted back to my old set of RSi irons, which I hit the same distance with no shanking. I believe the reviews published are by professional golfers, trying to sell an average iron at a big price. The average golfer, which I believe I am, will not find these clubs easy to hit at all. I didn't. In my time, I have had many sets of clubs but have never experienced the disappointment that I have with the Callaway Big Bertha 2023 irons. What a waste of $1800 AUD. I believe you may have to totally change your game to hit these irons well.
