my ownership 1 died after 7 years (2023) and the other died after 10 (2026). In their defense the units failed outside of warranty. They were very powerful and reliable and the temp setting and error codes on the split units were helpful. Shame they don't last longer. I believe my issues were all electrical on the outdoor units or motor related.

In this day and age parts and labor are expensive. It's just easier to replace with a new unit. I'm certainly replacing with another brand since Carriers aren't easy to find.
