Companion
Mine started losing charge after 2 years. Only used it 3 times, always fully charged. Companion didn’t want to know about it. Heap of rubbish.

camping. So here we are...
Wow, I'm so impressed with the quality of the materials its solid and sturdy and its soooo easy to use!! If im being completely honest though, it will be interesting to see how it is a year from now.
We literally just un-boxed it and 5 mins later using it. I took videos to share BUT had to really cut one down showing it working but couldnt include the spin cycle..which is a shame!!! Another one is of the clothes on the line after to show how much moisture extracted from the spin.
Use: Camping We regularly 2-3 times per year camp on the beach for at least 1 week to 4 weeks at a stretch. This machine for us is a time saver, as we usually have to wait for laundry build-up and then drive 30+ ks on the beach, through Noosaville traffic only to sit at a laundromat...$10 per load, to the drive back hang ect. Now we can do it in camp, we have enough water and power to run it, so we can't wait next week to use it!
Instructions: We found them to very easy and uncomplicated. Owners manual has diagrams as well as written ones with installation, power requirements, advice and tips down to a washing guide for the different clothing types and corresponding recommended cycle to set for them.
For our first load, we washed 4 heavier types of clothing with light soiling to see how it went and we are very happy. The spin cycle is very smooth and there's no soggy clothes as you can spin it out as many times as you need!
We hooked it up to the normal garden hose at home, and it worked perfectly or you can bucket water in if that's all you have. We have a camp trailer so we can hook it up to using the shower fittings we already have. #winning
It tells you everything from the water level, lint cleaning to what sort of detergent to use. READ the instructions... honestly they couldn't have made it any simpler to follow!
ITS A KEEPER...thanks Black Friday Sales :)
Con: I don't think this is for us, but for heavey items like jeans and beach towels 1 or 2 items per load as it's not built for really heavey loads.
☆☆This is not for normal everyday family use, as in its enough to get you out of trouble or like for camping. IT DOES WHAT IT IS INTENDED USE IS FOR, it may just take a little longer.
Companion Proheat 2 burner low pressure gas stove – I bought one of these early this year (2024) so we could use the gas bayonet on our camper and not have to carry an extra gas bottle for the stove.… Read more
We used it for the first time about 2 months ago. So Pros, easy to light, has good heat so cooks well. Cons. Its bulky, the latches for holding the side panels and lid are absolute rubbish. You have to remove the trivet to use the latches. They are fiddly and hard to use. My 30 year old Companion camping stove has a much better design. Why they didn't continue to use a proven and effective design is beyond me. It also has lots of nooks and crannies perfectly designed to make it hard to clean. It has two burners the same size, however its hard to get a really low flame on them. It would be better with one big burner and one smaller burner. To sum up, pretty disappointed with it, but it appears that at the moment, its the only show in town.

to blue pretty quickly. Took it camping once 10 day trip, and it is a great unit .. working really well but eventually it needed charging. Plugged it in I have had it charging for 24 hours on different chargers and the red light will not turn blue. Took it back and they happily swapped it for another one. Charged that up, got a blue light, but it wouldn't pump water this time .. at all. BCF is closed now ... another trip tomorrow. Third time lucky maybe.

lid. Under pressure a plastic-meets-metal join is bound to fail (eventually) and it can't be repaired or replaced. At around $100 best value would come from the need for frequent use (with possible lid replacement) within the 1year warranty rather than occasional use.
Purhased this item from BCF in Feb 25 for a round Australia camping adventure The item broke down after a week with 2 major defects, wrecking the trip BCF were great & refunded the purchase price & recommended I purchase Bluetti power station
Great Non-Slip Hotplate But Which has a Couple of Issues – I bought this hotplate to fit onto my Companion Double Burner, it comes in a very handy carry bag which also fits inside the double burner bag for… Read more
easy stowage. In use the hotplate works well and the non-stick coating is excellent and hard wearing. I primarily use this for cooking breakfast but the hotplate can be used to cook many things and it heats evenly.
Drawbacks - the hotplate cooks food well and has plenty of space, it heats evenly but only if you are on a level surface. Any slight incline and the food slides around all over the place and all gathers in the lowest corner. Also, the hotplate can move on the stove and needs a raised bit so it stays in place. The sides (lip) are a little low and I burned my knee due to hot fat splashing out and over the low sides which would not have happened if it had been a little higher. It is a little expensive for what it is but it does work well and cooks evenly and you can use it with one stove burner turned off which gives you a warm area to move cooked food onto to keep warm.
In summary, the hot plate works well if you are on an even surface but is a challenge on any incline, the hotplate needs some retaining ridges on the base to stop it sliding around on the burners and if the gas cylinder goes off the edge of the table you can lose a whole meal in one go. But, on level ground it works well.
Very Handy Lightweight Double Burner – I bought this on the back of owning the single burner which I reviewed previously and again, it is light and comes in a handy carry bag. The stove… Read more
could be described as having two single stoves welded together which only uses one gas cylinder. Like the single burner, the gas, being Propane, has never frozen like with the Butane stoves.
I bought this stove because Companion sell a stove hotplate which requires a double burner and I use it almost extensively for cooking breakfast on although it is good for burgers or sausage etc.
Like the single burner, this suffers from a low pressure and takes a while to boil a kettle of water, however, you aren't trying to change gas cylinders all the time. The stove has a big footprint and the gas cylinder can fall off the edge of the table if you are not careful which will tip the stove, especially if the cylinder is full.
To sum up, the cylinder never freezes and it is nice to have two burners available although it is slow to boil water. It is nice and compact and stows away small so it is easy to carry for camping. The stove can move and cause the cylinder to fall off the table.

This pan works well although we've only used it two or three times. But, the so-called redesigned pan does not have an extending handle, it has two smaller handles at the sides. The issue with the other pan, was that it fell over because the handle was too heavy. Furthermore, the Neoprene/Teflon material split in half with hot contents inside. This pan hasn't fallen in half nor does it fall over.
What bothers me is the fact that Companion still seems to be selling the pan that falls over when you extend the handle without any modifications.

I wouldn't buy any of these products knowing that they fall in half.

**The packaging does not state its unsuitability to be used in a coastal area.** It was assumed outdoor equipment would be designed for all landscape use and therefore fitted with rust-proof/corrosion-proof fittings such as stainless steel or at least galvanised steel. The twin pack of small deflappers have a 12 month waranty, so there is nothing to cover this result.
