Easily warms our living room and makes the space comfortable in no time. It heats evenly, runs quietly, and is very easy to use. The design is simple and fits well in the room. We’re very happy with its performance, especially during colder days.

disappointing. It takes about twice as long to toast, cooks very unevenly, and we’ve already had issues with one side not staying down properly.
Honestly, the build quality feels like it’s gone downhill. As a side note, we’re noticing the same thing with the DeLonghi kettle we replaced at the same time after installing our new kitchen.
Based on this experience, I’d be hesitant to recommend this brand anymore.

my cold bathroom which is only small so I need to use only one switch, (mid heat) setting , I imagine it would need to use the 2 switches for a larger room. The feet were a pain to affix as the screws are so small and awkward to place but my 75 yr old fingers managed it in the end and it's so light that's it's easy to for me to move it around There was a slight musty smell when first turned on but soon disappeared, It's compact size is very convenient as it doesn't take up much space and it sits nicely next to the vanity when not in use, cover with a dishtowel to keep out dust, Very happy to recommend this, especially at this weeks price I attached a tiny piece of black electric tape to the thermostat dial to make it easier for me to use
very nice! – Heater works fine, happy that we purchased this model. Functional and warm us well.

was how simple and reliable the machine felt. Within just a few minutes of unboxing, I had it set up and brewing espresso without needing to read through a complicated manual.
The design is one of the standout features. The Citiz has a sleek, modern look that fits perfectly in a kitchen without taking up too much counter space. It feels compact but still premium, with sturdy materials and a clean finish that gives it a more sophisticated appearance than many other pod machines.
Coffee preparation is incredibly fast. The machine heats up in seconds, which makes a huge difference during busy mornings. I loved being able to press a single button and get a consistent espresso every time without worrying about grinding beans, tamping coffee, or cleaning messy filters afterward.
The espresso quality surprised me as well. For a capsule machine, the flavor was rich and smooth, and the crema looked impressive. Different Nespresso pods allowed me to switch between strong, bold coffees and lighter blends depending on my mood. It may not fully replace a professional espresso machine for hardcore coffee enthusiasts, but for convenience and consistency, it performs extremely well.
Cleaning and maintenance were also very easy. The used capsule container holds several pods before needing to be emptied, and the removable water tank makes refilling simple. I appreciated how little effort was required to keep the machine looking clean and working properly.
One minor downside is the ongoing cost of capsules. While the machine itself is convenient, buying pods regularly can become more expensive over time compared to traditional ground coffee. The machine can also feel slightly limited for people who enjoy customizing every detail of the brewing process.
Overall, the DeLonghi Nespresso Citiz delivered a great balance between convenience, style, and coffee quality. It turned espresso-making into a fast and stress-free routine while still producing drinks that felt luxurious enough for a café-style experience at home.

issue where the descale light kept flashing, even after we descaled the machine multiple times. We contacted DeLonghi for advice and tried their suggested fix, but it didn’t resolve the problem.
Because the machine was out of warranty and the repair cost would have been higher than replacing it, we decided to buy a new one — the same model, as it was on special. Unfortunately, the same issue occurred the first time the new machine needed descaling.
This time, it was still under warranty, so we took it in for repair. The technician told us this is not an uncommon fault and that the fix may involve replacing a specific circuit inside the machine.
Overall, while this coffee machine makes great coffee and works well in general, potential buyers should be aware of this recurring descaling light problem.

reasonable amount of coffee and especially like a variety of coffee options, this is worth every cent. It simple to use, with easy step instructions on the touch screen. It also does hot water for tea drinkers. There are 4 temperature settings so caters for those who don't like their coffee too hot up to those that want to scald their tastebuds off. There is an app that gives many other options, but at the time of writing this, it's pretty terrible and doesn't work very well. I can see there's huge potential for the App, but I don't think DeJonghi care too much.

purchased one - We use it overnight to take the chill out of the air and this heater does the job perfectly. What's good about it is, you can set the temperature from 500w - 1000w over 3 settings with simple switches - the heater also has a mechanical style 24 hour time which is easy to use to set the start and finish times. I was impressed with the build quality, with fold out caster wheels, two way switches for heat control, thermostat, cable winder on the front and relatively small profile - nice and compact. We have used this in the bedroom for much of this winter and it has been excellent to keep the room warm - just turn it on about half an hour before going to bed and room is cosy.
PROS: - 1000w adequate for small rooms (not too much drain on power) - Build quality is very good - Reasonable price unit for quality and features - 24 hr timer - switching for power output (don't have to run at full output power) - Thermostat - switches power off when set temperature reached

ceramic tower heaters. Whoops! That aside, I found it pretty useless for quietly, economically and efficiently heating any open-plan living area because it is neither quiet nor economical. As far as efficiency goes that depends on what you want it for.
Best feature: Portability with a capital 'P'; and for personal use (with a lower case 'p')
Worst: DēLonghi have some nerve naming this model "Silent+".
No fan is silent because the blades move the air - without friction, air particles would simply go around the blades instead of being flung off. What we hear is impact of air particles on the blade surface, and the resulting airflow then being forced through the protective mesh which adds its own aerodynamic chatter to the mix. On medium and maximum (they are the same high fan speed) it's just as noisy as any other heater imho.
Listen to what other reviewers say! I didn't heed the reviews that canned this model. Generally when I buy something good I like it straight away but I'm in my fifth day of trying this out. That says a lot, but it still may be a good heater depending on what you want it for. I'll try to be fair with my review but it will take some effort to do so because, not being familiar with ceramic tower heaters, I made a mistake buying the wrong sort for what I wanted - something versatile enough to serve as an economical personal heater yet efficiently heat a large area as well. The DēLonghi TCH8993ER 'Silent+' does neither of these super well and is definitely NOT SILENT. It's too high up to heat your feet and not powerful enough for open living areas.
In fairness, its lowest setting ("Silent+" ) is probably its best use - only 1200w for cheap running with the slower fan speed which can't be switched off and is NOT SILENT. It fits well under my desk and runs like it's in its right place.
Heat: Yes, on full, it sure pumps it out... not very Green eh and empties your wallet in the process to boot. Lower settings are sort of gutless but useful to ease any guilt about emissions. Best use is to huddle over it for a quick warm-up. No luck yet efficiently heating a decent-sized room. By efficiently I mean within my pension budget. Can't work out what the middle setting is for other than a medium sized room. Derr.! I'm kidding. It's for extravagant use as an overblown personal heater, slothing and wallowing in knee-burning luxury – damn the cost! And the Environment. And the Planet. And my burnt knees. Thermostat: As a space heater, sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't. I loathe the expression, but "good luck with that". Certainly not "set and forget"! It can get stuck in a glitch.
Remote: You'll need lottery-style luck for this piece of junk. Too often it doesn't work either. To be sure, you need to be directly in front, no more than a metre away, and aim at the top. Even then you'll be kept guessing. Pointing in the general direction doesn't work, or almost never. Still, the remote is indispensable because the interface on the heater itself is mind-bogglingly hard to see what is what - therefore it's easier to control it remotely. From right in front of it up close ha ha.
Noise level: Despite the model name, it is NOT SILENT except when it isn't running. When in what it calls Silent+ mode, it still makes a fair amount of noise. I believe a more appropriate term should be "quiet" - but compared to what? Its noisiest setting? It must be that.
User experience:...did I mention.. it stinks.. of chemicals.. exactly what, I'm not sure, but I think it's the ceramic gizmo. I've smelt this odour before, with a car fridge I think, it's a bit like plastic but kinda like resin or glue and alarmingly toxic-smelling. I can't imagine it is at all harmless. Anyhow, we expect a kero or oil heater to give off fumes but this 'cutting edge technology' is a giant step backwards.
Build: Great looks but that won't keep the room warm. I've read comments about the grille getting dangerously hot but they must be running it full bore for long periods. I found the low setting very safe, you can be very close without much chance of getting burnt unless you're silly enough to not notice. Fair point though - I can see its design could be better. It should protect against accidental burns from hot parts when on High. I definitely wouldn't say this is safe for kids and pets like panel heaters are. Also, some complain about the plastic base being flimsy, and mine has a crooked decorative chrome trim that protrudes at the top (see pic) potentially snaring clothes etc as you walk past. And tips it over. On the cat. Or...
Price: You ARE paying for the name. I don't believe DēLonghi heaters are any better or any worse than any other brand of an equivalent model. This isn't a bad heater but there's nothing special that other heaters don't have. Pretty much everything these days uses the same technology smuggled by mutant alien hackers into China (see pic). But DēLonghi are not cheap like just about everything that exports out of Asia.
Verdict: unlike my long-winded review, the DēLonghi TCH8993ER doesn't blow a lot of hot air cheaply. BUT mine is free. I found its best use was as a personal heater - this ceramic tower heater conveniently fits into corners and gaps in furniture, even under a desk (which is how I use it). Otherwise short bursts on higher settings are the only way to get efficient results without going broke ha ha!

lot of water). - Best feature is the ability to have the unit pump removed water out a long small hose (provided). Place that hose in a drain or out a cracked window and you never have to worry about emptying the container again. - Washable and re-usable air filter. - One of the least expensive units around when looking at cents per litre of water removed (according to Choice Magazine). - Simple easy to understand buttons and LCD panel.
Things that could be better - Only two fan speeds. - Quite a loud unit (but that comes with the very powerful compressor). - No ability to direct air flow. - The brilliant pump hose I love so much comes out the front of the unit. It's ugly and gets in the way. - Heavy (but has built in wheels that work well on hard floor and thin carpet).
The long version: During the heavy watering Sydney received in March 2022, I managed to get my hands on what I think was one of the last dehumidifiers available in Sydney. I had done quite a lot of research online, including this very site, plus Choice online and a few of the other usual suspects and settled on the DeLonghi AriaDry DD230P.
The moment I got it home, I unpacked and immediately put it to work. Our house so needed it, I am sure a lot of people can relate. About five hours later my wife came home and I proudly showed her my new toy - and low and behold, the 6 litre tank was close to full. That is a massive amount of water - out of one room.
Delonghi claims that it can remove 30 Litres per day (that is of course under optimal conditions with the right humidity and temperature), but if you calculate the 6 approximate litres in 5 approximate hours, that actually does get close to 30 litres a day.
The technology lover I am I also installed a watt meter to see how much power this gadget uses. It uses, as the plaque in fact says, about 500 W when running, so depending on your electricity plan (let's say you pay 21 c per kWh as a reasonable estimate of the average), it will cost you those 21 c every two hours. That does not sound like a lot, but be careful, it adds up to $75 per month when used continuously.
Choice Magazine btw gives a cost per litre of water removed (21c per litre). I am not sure how they came up with that number, I come up with 12 to 15 c per litre removed, but for all intents and purposes, that is a useless number anyway (except for when you compare various dehumidifiers to each other, exactly what Choice Magazine is in fact doing). In the Choice test, this dehumidifier was one of the least expensive to run, even with the higher rate that Choice used for their calculations. That was one of the biggest plus points for me that drew me towards this unit.
All this incredible water removal comes at a price of course. In the shop for starters (I paid $649), when running it (see above) and also in, let's call it usability. It is a heavy piece of equipment (19 kg!), that thankfully comes with built-in wheels. It can easily be moved between rooms on hard floor and short hair carpet. For anything else, the wheels are a bit too small.
Another price you pay for the big compressor in the unit is the noise. 54 dB does not mean anything unless you are an acoustics engineer but what matters is this: Unless you are exceptionally noise tolerant, you will have a hard time sleeping when this thing is on in your bedroom, even on the lower setting. I even find it annoyingly loud to have it running in my home office during the day. The solution is, run it when you are not in the room. Over night in the office, during the day in the bedrooms or living areas.
The unit has two fan settings. I would like to have a few more. No big deal though.
Also nice to have is the easy to understand control panel with an LCD display and refreshingly few buttons with hardly any silly unnecessary settings. There is a timer that turns it on and off when you are not there and thank you Delonghi for resisting the urge to make an app for it.
One thing I am missing is the ability to direct the airflow coming out of the device. Air shoots straight up (at considerable speed), I would love to be able to direct it into the direction of an adjacent room or a drying rack or whatever. Just a few movable fins would do the trick.
I kept the best for last, though. It comes with a small built in pump and a long (about 5 m long) thin hose. With the press of one single designated button you can set the unit to discharge the water not into the built in water tank, but to pump it out of that little hose. The pump is important as it pushes the water out the hose, even if the outlet is higher than the dehumidifier is. Some other units allow you to attach a hose, but they are gravity based, so your hose has to point down-hill if you want it to work. Not in this unit, the hose is long and it can be emptying the water way higher than the unit. Out a Windows for example.
Do not underestimate how useful that feature is. No more having to carry the full water container through the house, making sure the water does not overflow and get on the carpet while you carry it. No more of the unit turning itself off automatically because you forgot to empty the reservoir at night or before you left the house. Having this ability to pump water out a separate hose is a brilliant feature, I love it.
Why in the world the connector of that little discharge hose is in the front of the unit is a mystery to me, though. It is not only ugly to have that hose run out in the front, but it is also in harm's way. Vacuum cleaning nearby? Watch for the hose, watch to not hit the plastic nozzle, it could break. Watch out when you move the unit, that nozzle sticks out just enough to hit furniture or door frames.
It also sticks out too much when you try to put the unit back into the box it came in to transport to a different house. If you are not careful and leave the nozzle attached while packing it, it will most likely break off. That is exactly what happened to me by the way. It is not exactly solely Delonghi's fault, I agree, but please, in the next version, put that outlet into the back of the unit and make it flush with the outside.
And in case you are wondering how to remove that nozzle once it has clicked into place, it's a bit tricky. It is a bayonette like mechanism that you need to push in with one hand while pulling out the hose with the other. It took me ages to figure that out (and yes, I did read the manual).
In summary its a great dehumidifier that may even be a bit of an overkill for most homes. It can handle the removal of a lot of humidity in a short period of time and the feature that allows the pumping of water out a window or a drain with a nice and long hose it brilliant. That feature makes it ideal to dry out basements or remote rooms without having to constantly manually empty the built in container.
It is heavy, it is loud and it has a very powerful compressor that is expensive to run (but since it removes so much humidity quickly, you will most likely not run it for very long periods).
It's a beast of a dehumidifier - which is great. Just know you are getting a beast.
Don’t do it. Lives on the error rating of E1 - which apparently means it could be too damp to dehumidify. I’ve owned two. Have just given up. Took one back to be serviced. Worked a couple more times and returned to error E1. What a waste of money
