spray/vacuum upright part is tricky. No instructions provided but others recommend hosing it out which doesn't work particularly well. Definitely not great on stains. Similar to my previous Wertheim but at 1/3 the price. Hiring a Britex from the supermarket/hardware is still a better option, albeit more expensive, heavier and more cumbersome.

Best vacume ever, not harsh at all and the vibrating head brings all the dirt up in carpet.

thing I’d say it’s missing is some pipe lengths so you can stand up while doing the carpet. Still it works great. Sucks the water out well and the dirt.

This this is complete and utter junk. The plate cracked pretty early on in its life. But rather than make amends, Hoover (or their agent) accused us of "non standard use" (aka smashing it up ourselves.) Apparently if there is a fault with the item, it shatters. ours had just cracked. Ok so assuming it did crack when a pot was placed on it. How delicate do you want to argue that this item should be that I can cook on it as normal? Then, one of the buttons melted. Again Hoover could not care less. Now one of the plates no longer works. Even though the thing is just over a year old. Tough. Now they have our money, we are a mere inconvenience in their corporate machine. I will NEVER buy Hoover again!!!! Garbage.

When I looked at the reviews before purchasing I was concerned about the complaints of the size of the clean and waste water chambers being small, if they were bigger it would be too difficult to use. What I'm saving on getting a professional carpet cleaner in vs changing the water a few times isn't a bother for me.

that passes through the wand to power the head was pinched between the plastic end cap and the metal wand. The sharp edge of the metal wand penetrated the insulation on the wiring causing the wand to become live. My daughter received a nasty electrical shock that could easily have been fatal.

Hoover would not provide support as the vacuum was bought from Godfreys who had gone into “receivership”. My daughter bought the vacuum specifically because it was branded Hoover and had the reasonable expectation it was a genuine Hoover product backed by Hoover.

Unfortunately I do not know if the sale of this product constitutes deceptive advertising and sales practices, I can only say that my daughter felt deceived by the use of the Hoover name and the Hoover trademark on a product that is not supported by Hoover.

I am frankly appalled and deeply concerned for the safety of other users of this product. It is very disappointing to have to write this review for a brand I had previously regarded as iconic and whose strong reputation, built over many decades, appears to have been sadly eroded.

I did approach the Godfreys receivers (PWC) with this issue, alas to no avail. I have also raised the issue with Choice ACA who recommended the vacuum in their 2023 review and notified the ACCC of my concerns regarding this product.

This vacuum is labelled as "double insulated" and has no earth pin on its power plug, however the vacuum wand tube is metal and has a label warning "Danger Live Parts Within". With no earth pin on the power plug it is not possible for the metal wand to be connected to ground. It is concerning that an exposed metal tube containing live components is part of a product labelled "double insulated". Usually exposed metal parts on mains connected appliances are firmly connected to ground to avoid the possibility of becoming live should a wire come loose or other fault occur.

battery. Power head was good and operation in general was pleasant enough to use. Nothing great but good enough for what you could expect at this price. Came with some useful attachments also. Now to my dislikes.

If you find satisfaction in items built well then this vac isn't for you. Plastic mouldings are very average with poorly joining parts and what I can only describe as a very cheap feel in the hand. All attachments are of very poor quality with the feel of a cheap toy you'd get in a show bag that you wouldn't expect to last the trip home. Visually it looks good in online videos but once I unboxed it I felt the need to advise my wife that it's clearly a poorly built product and to be gentle with it.

Its ok for a quick clean up but longer than then a few mins I found it to be to top heavy and uncomfortable to hold.

I bought this vac as I had previously owned the evolve which failed in within 12 months so already had a compatable battery so could use both for longer run times with the emerge.

On the second day we owned this vac the power head completely failed. I wasn't at all surprised was only too happy to return the Hoover to replace it with another brand.

I should add that my first cordless vac was a Bosch that I loved and lasted 4 years of heavy use only to be replaced by the Hoover emerge after the battery was worn out. The emerge was ok but also felt poorly built and would block up if you even thought about using it, when that failed I bought the evolve with the delusion that it would be good enough for the inbetween clean with our corded vac with the added benefit of having a second battery. Went back to Bosch for a cordless and have been very happy.

item ran for 14.02 minutes. After 2 months of use I retested the running time of the vac , also on "hard floor" mode. I believe this is the vacs least "power hungry mode. The item ran for 14.03 mins. Now given that it's stated both in the specs, and on the box that the vac came in, that the vac's running time is "up to 35 minutes of run time", why I am I only getting around 40% of the claimed run time? I have considered buying a second battery for the vac, but the cost of this was $149. I do not recommend this product

Disappointing – Bought this vac to use on couches for cat hair but found it bot very good on picking it up. Went away for 2 months and switched it off and when we returned it would not charge up so absolutely dead in the water. Would not buy another

rolls around and turns on draining it's battery. Annoying ! Expensive useless item . Avoid and get the Kmart $12 one . That works and is car chargeable and $70 cheaper !
