After only 70 hours of mowing the deck broke off. The whole thing was coming apart - cracked in multiple places. They wouldn't fix it under warranty. Poor quality deck - far too thin. Do not buy.

with Swedish heritage it would be excellent, however this was no better than the cheapest petrol mower you can buy at Bunnings for a quarter of the price.

Issues:

- catcher did not catch properly dropping bits of leaf and grass - catcher hard to put on - seemed to lack power and struggle over thicker sections of lawn (my lawn not long or thick).

No refunds once used, so now I’m stuck with it…

great job on the grass, with a comfortable seat and a good turning circle. However, original equipment screws constantly come loose, and on one occasion caused a plastic guard to fall off and get damaged, which was replaced under warranty by the dealer. Two nuts locked together, NOT Nyloc nuts, holding up the front cutting deck fell off, so there was no height adjustment control, and again parts were replaced by the dealer. The steering wheel became loose and had to be re-secured. The same original screws holding on that plastic guard came off again, and this time were secured with a tek screw, so fingers crossed that will fix the problem. Overall in such a short time, this mower has been disappointing as far as quality control is concerned. I did my research, but still I am not happy.

Uses a full tank of oil to half a tank of fuel. Cuts out sometimes and is hard to start warm. Off switch is easy to accidently bump and turn off while working. Cheap and has lasted me two seasons of fire wooding without a break down

Using the blade, it cuts through it all with ease. Also cleared a whole lot (>300m2) of periwinkle weed with it. I recently got a saw blade and have cut small bushes with it.

It’s comfortable to use (I have the RS which has the harness), and starts easy every time, maybe 2-3 pulls on choke then a couple to start.

It’s also surprisingly quiet, more of a softer sound than I expected.

I’m very happy with it. I just need to work out how to clean all the dried up grass off it that’s glued on.

Solid and dependable – I've had this line trimmer for 4 years and used it consistently on numerous properties. Upgrade the factory line with something decent and it's a reliable workhorse. Has handled everything I've thrown at it.

which had by all accounts, good reviews. I wanted something lightweight and with decent battery life. I made sure to fully charge the battery before my first use, but I was very confused when it died after a short time (about 20mins I thought). I thought maybe I hadn't actually charged it all the way, so charged it fully again and used it for a second time while timing it on my phone. It lasted just over 16 minutes before running out! I jumped on live chat with Husqvarna customer service and was told the battery life was meant to be 25mins (?! still poor in my opinion), but depended on many factors such as what type of line is used—I am using all the components as they came out of the box. It looks like I will now have to invest in a second, very expensive battery just to get through trimming around portions of my tiny 350sqm garden! I am NOT happy with my purchase at all!

Worked well for a year, then didn't – I've had the 572XP for nearly 2 years. I've used it mostly for milling with a 36" bar, so it has been worked hard, but only a modest number of hours.… Read more

Have looked after it well, 25:1 fuel, good quality oil, kept the chain sharp & well tuned, etc etc. It gave me a year of good service, starting well hot & cold, plenty of power for firewood cutting (although not really up to the task of milling hardwood - in hindsight I should have bought a 90cc saw).

Then it just gave up. Poor starting especially when hot, sometimes cutting out at high revs. Took it to the dealer for a service & firmware update, and have had it back to them three times in the past six months. Their mechanic has pulled it apart, tried everything but has no clue what the issue is. Sometimes I get lucky and it works OK, half the time it doesn't, I spend 30 minutes trying to start it and give up.

Would I buy another 572XP or recommend others to buy one? No I wouldn't. I know this is a familiar story with most chainsaw models - with any particular saw some people have a good experience & others don't. For a professional-grade, $2000 saw I'd expect many years of trouble-free service and unfortunately that's not what I got with the 572XP.

HUSQVARNA CHAIN SAW 445-E11 IT REALLY SUITS ME – After giving me great service, my old Husqvarna 365 got wrecked when the electrode broke off its spark plug. Repairs were far too expensive. Being… Read more

somewhat older now, I followed recommendations to go for a lighter weight model, so decided on the Husqvarna 445-E11 with a weight of 5.1 kg compared to the 365’s 6.0kg. The price at Goulpro in Goulburn was competitive at $999 inclusive of carry case (about $100 value).

The power output at 2.8/9000 (K/rpm) is a bit less than the 365 had at 3.4/9300. It’s a little slower at sawing through logs and thick branches but I still cut through logs almost as thick as with the old 365 by attacking the thicker logs from various sides. The lighter weight makes it a bit easier for me to use.

I feel the single chain tension adjusting nut on the 445-E11 is not as good as the 2 nuts on the 365. It seems more fiddley and at times the chain becomes loose soon after adjusting it.

The cap for the bar oil is a tad awkward to open due to being placed almost under the brake handle making it awkward to easily unscrew it. The 445-E11 is easy to start with the bubble being pressed several times (I do it 8 times), and with the switch in the up position, it takes only 3 pulls to get that initial cough, move it down to the ½ way and another 2 or 3 pulls and it starts. The off position is easy to move it to – just a quick push down. I do wonder about the long-term strength of the plastic switch and hope that at some stage it doesn’t break.

In the 5 months I’ve had it, I’ve sawn numerous fallen dead trees and branches, felled dead trees and am currently felling and sawing up a number of live ones to create a more open canopy to the west of our house. The 445-E11 rips through these live, green trunks so it keeps me very happy indeed!

In regard to noise and safety, it’s a typical chain saw with which one should use all recommended safety equipment and take care in using it.

Pros: a weight easily handled, runs well, cuts reasonable sized timber suitable for slow combustion oven and slow combustion heater, competitive price. Cons: not so good on thicker tree trunks.

I'll stick with Husqvarna and certainly recommend the Husqvarna 445-E11. I'd like to give it 4.5 stars.

Pis: using it to to saw logs

satisfaction and refund policy on their website. In appearance it does not look all that different from the cheap one, so buy the cheap one at your risk if you wish. Bad Points: Like the cheapie, and mounted in the same position the on/off with is almost impossible to reach if you mount the tank high on your back. Like the cheapie of the same (bad?)design, it will not pump out the last 150ml of spray. Like the cheapie it has the same coarse filter in the tank fill opening which is good for filtering leaves but not much else. They should have a nylon mesh filter for the cost of this unit. It is very expensive compared to the cheapie and, with some of the same cheapie design faults! Other than it works very well the good points of the Husqvarna are: Removable (and replaceable) 18 volt battery' Excellent charge durability. I get 5 to 7 full sprays out of one charge. Very comfortable harness for carrying that 20kg on your back. The tank has moulded fill (litre) graduations on the side. Comes with three types of tips for different spraying patterns. One tip offers variable pattern by twisting its nozzle. None kinking delivery hose. Metal stand for easy and stable filling. Good sealing tank top and tank angled slightly to the rear so any overflows on filling drain to the back rather than over the harness.

on, the machine is supposed to be in standby mode, but it oscillates until I pull the trigger and the pump activates. When the trigger is released, it oscillates again, and after a short time, it stops working. On 26 March 2025, I emailed customer.service@husqvarna.com.au but have not received a response from them yet. Therefore, I emailed them again today and attached a video of the symptoms. Their customer service boasts that they will answer within 24-48 hours. NB. I wash our two cars once per month, in total 56 times. It's not very good considering the purchase price! I will keep you all updated over time.

Update: 19/05/2025

After contacting a distributor to source replacement parts for the PW 360, it took them more than a week to get a response from Husqvarna regarding the parts enquiry. I concluded that Husqvarna’s pressure washer division has deplorable Customer Service, so I decided to take my business elsewhere!

NB. I realised that Husqvarna’s pressure washer division established a reputation for poor Customer Service.

I have had it a couple of months now & I love how it is easy to start just push controller to run & pull the cord no turning on the petrol tap, No priming of the fuel. The 4 blade system is good as well cuts better than the victa that only had 2 blade. It also much quieter than the Victa. It easy to push & seem to mow the lawn quicker than before. So far no complaints with it.

being used.

Got it independently accessed at a location provided to me by Tamara @ Husqvarna in order to put a warranty claim through. They determined it was a faulty clutch bearing that seized up which then subsequently caused the fire. Husqvarna then contacted the independent assessor trying to convince them it was operator error, the independent assessor confirmed the issue was the faulty clutch bearing by getting a second mechanic to take a look (second mechanic was from another shop).

Husqvarna still not willing to accept fault and having to go to VCAT now to get anything moving.

Stay away from this hunk of junk and even Sydney tools as a retailer all colluding together to avoid repair / replacement / refund.

Good value for money – The 25 is in the middle of the Topaz range. It does not have the huge hoops like the 30;40 or 50 but does have a 6x10” hoop which is the most popular… Read more

anyway. Sews and embroiders beautifully. If you want a machine for general sewing with the benefit of a hoop for an occasional embroidery, then this is the model to have. The downside is that it is in monotone only, no colours at all, not even of your chosen thread colours. This can make it hard knowing your colours as it doesn’t have many thread manufacturer colours. The menu is bit hard to get used to at first. It does have needle up/down and auto thread cutting, combined with the quilters 1/4” stitch making it a great machine for patchwork piecing. It does not come with many feet but does have the most important feet. The only other foot that would be a benefit would be the walking foot. I have found that nearly all the feet and accessories from other Husqvarnas also fit this model, so if you have another Husqvarna, check your items first before buying one particularly for this model. All in all I would rate this machine 9 out of 10. I hope to sew with it for many years to come.
