Jurlique
This is one of the best facial moisturisers I have used, and I have kept coming back to it for many years. The only times I've changed, or not bought… Read more
for some time, is to try something different, save on a budget, or to give my skin a rest from using the same thing and to alternate with some other brands. Jurlique offer really quality ingredients and skincare.
I have sensitive and dry skin and this moisturiser really soothes and nourishes. I have mature skin now, but I also used this cream in my 30s and 40s and sometimes received compliments on my glowing skin at the time. The cream is thick, but it's gentle, soothing, and absorbs in well. It smells beautiful.
Although the cost isn't cheap it lasts for ages (around 6-9 months if used in a reasonable way and not over doing it). It's worth it and comparatively per month is good value. I used to use their herbal recovery gel serum with it, but that is no longer being made.
If you get it while Jurlique has a sale on you also might get a bargain with a full size product of something else included.
I have bought this product from dedicated Jurlique stores, and from Myer, and David Jones, both online and in store.
I didn’t buy this for a while because of the Price but going back to it made a huge improvement after only one month. I guess you have to pay for quality.
Good – i enjoy using this product as a bit of a splurge, it has a beautiful scent that really lingers all day and there is no need to use a perfume. unlike… Read more

Lovely made in Australia products – Jurlique ticks a number of my feel good boxes: it is made in Australia, it is plant-based and I love the natural fragrance of their products. I am… Read more
also impressed that Jurlique grow their own plant products in the Adelaide hills using bio-dynamic farming techniques that are self-sustaining. I googled to find out what bio-dynamic entailed after a Jurlique retail rep said it was better than organic.
Another huge plus for me are their friendly retail people - professional, polite, not pushy and generous with their samples. Their products are pricey and they give you samples to allow you to try products at home for a few days to a week before you decide.
A sample of their face oil was what got me started on this brand in the first place. Jurlique face oils are now a must have for me and I have gradually added other products to my skin care regime as I have tried the different samples I have been given over the last 2 years.
To anyone contemplating Jurlique I would advise visiting one of their boutiques or counters in Myer, David Jones or National Pharmacy, discuss your needs with their retail rep, try the products in store and ask for samples to take home to try.
Fragrance may also be an issue for some people. Personally, I love the floral and herby scents in Jurlique products. Some of the products like their latest Rare Rose range is strongly rose scented. But after an initial intense burst, this fades away.
What works is very individualistic e.g. the Jurlique Face Mists have an almost cult-like following, but they do nothing for me so I do not use them. Likewise their cleansers. Some I found rather drying, and others are OK but are double or triple the price of - in my opinion - cleansers that are just as good.
Jurlique has been promoting this addition to its range of face oils and I was keen to try the sample I received. I had expected a stronger rose scent… Read more
straight out of the packet, but it seemed very, very faint.
It is a light oil, lighter than my regular Jurlique Age Defying Face Oil which I mix into my moisturiser. The Rare Rose oil also had a “dry oil” feel to it and didn’t seem to mix as well into my moisturiser. It’s an OK oil, but my skin didn’t seem to absorb it as quickly and 2 hours later I had to blot my face before going to bed. Maybe I used too much?
Checking the ingredients, I saw that coconut-derived Caprylic/Capric Triglyceride was the first ingredient.
I was also rather disappointed that the oil’s key ingredient - Jurlique Rose - didn’t feature in the first half of the ingredient list, unless it was Fragrance (parfum). Indeed “Rosa hybrid flower extract” was the 6th ingredient from the bottom. Rare rose indeed!
While I generally like Jurlique products, I’ll give this one a miss.

Lavender Essential Oil – I had bought Jurlique Lavender Essential Oil for at least 10-15 years. However, in recent times the price has escalated significantly and is now $35… Read more
(it was $20 max not long ago). I now prefer to buy an organic lavender essential oil elsewhere for over half the price, and that also has not been tested on animals.
Dramatic Price change – Loyal and long term customer. disappointed the 125ml moisturisers for $79 are now 40ml for $50. It has hardly lasted 3 weeks!! $35 extra dollars for the same amount of product. Such a scam won’t be using anymore.
Really calming – Lavender Hydrating Mist. This facial mist smells beautiful lavender. It is a lovely scent. I use this mist after cleansing my face and I find it to… Read more
feel light and hydrating on my skin. It is a non-irritating mist No harsh burning or facial reactions at all.which helps calm the redness on my face especially this winter dry skin. I feel instantly pampered and refreshed. Excellent to increase hydration to your skin.
Adds another layer of moisture – The name and look of this clear water-like product puzzled me and I was rather sceptical when the Jurlique rep explained its use and purpose. Given… Read more
a few sample sachets, I tried them with great scepticism. As instructed, I dripped a few drops into my palm, pressed my palms together then pressed my wet palms on my face and neck. The liquid smelt faintly herby and felt a little sticky, but dried rather quickly. I followed with the rest of my routine - serum, oil and moisturiser. My skin did feel less dry throughout the day, and lines and wrinkles seemed slightly fainter.
Looking up its ingredients, water (of course!) was first, followed by propanediol, Biosaccharide Gum-1, Saccharide Isomerate, Glycerin - all good hydrating ingredients according to https://incidecoder.com/.
Over the next week, I took special note of lines and wrinkles on the days I used the product and the days I didn't while I added and subtracted products like serum and oil.
My conclusion was the activating essence did add another layer of hydration to do its part in plumping up skin and ^erasing^ wrinkles (for me), and I bought a bottle and added that to my routine.
Note: The frosted glass bottle has a plastic stopper which drips just the right amount, so one 150ml bottle is lasting me quite a while.
Good – The scent is a bonus, the real magic lies in the quality ingredients. Over time my mothers mature skin has shown great improvements, despite her… Read more
smoking. The mist leaves no residue on the skin, is refreshing and light and can be used anywhere, and over makeup. Great for people on planes, or in airconditioning a lot. The lavendar scent is relaxing and I have used it to help with stress headaches with great success. If you haven't tried it and can be sensitive to scents best to try it first, you can do this at Myers and some other places. Not tested on animals, minimal plastic in packaging. Natural product with QUALITY ingredients. Australian made. A great pick me up and subtle mosturiser, without pulling at the skin. expensive.
