every week for 3 years and its never missed a beat. Ive got 30 meters of hose to get me where I have to be and I guess the motor could be considerably quieter. I use a semi synthetic oil in the pump and standard diesel oil in the motor. All oils are changed on a regular basis as is the engine air filter.
I really wish you had the run that I have had. I am not in anyway affiliated with Kinchrome or any dealership.
This water pressure cleaner ticks all the boxes for me. It works well like my other 2 pressure cleaners (Karcher Winner 10 & Gerni Classic 114.2).… Read more
This Kincrome pressure cleaner looks better with the blue & black two-tone mix compare to other cleaners. I looks solid, and apparently Kincrome has quite a bit of confidence into it's durability, as they are offering 5 years of warranty (2 after registering).
I got myself this Kincrome pressure cleaner in a "second attempt", after first trying my luck with the smaller Kincrome model K16261, but when testing it at home, I found the power-output to be lacking behind all the rest. Supercheap made it easy to swap over to this bigger model (K16262) - thus I did that, just paying for the price-difference (both were on special ($135 vs. $200)).
I attached a picture of the difference in results when cleaning my driveway with K16261 vs. K16262.
Based upon Kincrome's own max. pressure data for both cleaners, the bigger one is 12.5% more powerful. That was apparently all it needed.
I reckon, the smaller one (K16261) should be discontinued and the cost-saving created by reducing this model range should be used to reduce the sales-price of the bigger cleaner (K16262).
I bought this K16261 today from Supercheap. Before buying I checked and compared the PSI pressure of that one with my 2 other pressure cleaners… Read more
(which do still work): Gerni Classic 115.2: max. pressure 1668 PSI Karcher Winner 10: max. pressure 4000 PSI Apparently, those numbers do not account for much, as I would say that my 2 old pressure cleaners do have about the same pressure output. When I saw that the Kincrome K16261 has 1740 PSI "allowable pressure", which I have to interpreted as "max. pressure" (confirmed: Kincrome calls it 1740psi max pressure on their web site), I was expecting about the same as my other 2 pressure cleaners. I was however very much confused in the shop by the additional info of rated pressure 1160 PSI printed on the box as well, of which I could not make any sense, and obviously there is no way in the shop to test the pressure cleaner... I have tested the K16261 now, and was quite disappointed - both my other pressure cleaners are way more powerful. Actually the K16261 is only a little bit better than a high quality non-powered metal-nozzle, which I have for my garden-hose... However, the K16261 outputs an even spray (-pattern) and currently I am thinking of keeping it because: 1.) It might actually be better, if I do not "shoot" high powered water beams onto the paint of my cars. 2.) I do not know, if it would be easily possible to swap the K16261 for the K16262, which is a Kincrome pressure cleaner, which officially has the "label" 1958 PSI, where the K16261 has the "label" 1740 PSI, whatever it is that those numbers are supposed to stand for (certainly for something else as on a Gerni pressure cleaner). Thus, a little bit more of expected "umpf" (12.5% more), for an extra $65 (as long as they are both on special ($135 vs $200). I'd actually recommend to have the K16261 discontinued and to sell the K16262 only, but for a lower price...
Update: Supercheap made it easy to swap this K16261 over for the bigger K16262, thus I paid for the price difference and I am happy now with the bigger K16262.
I attached a picture of the different results when cleaning my driveway with the 2 different models.

ashamed of this going flat so fast. Chinese $20 ones work longer than this all branded products now days are rubbish just the name and a big price on it but doesn't work. This is why China is doing so good and Australia is going down hill.
Don’t bother – Keeps turning itself off, replacing batteries helps for a while but as soon as they drop below 2.8 volts it will turn off after a couple of seconds. Pretty much useless unless you constantly fit new batteries.

although about 12 months ago the fan blades would not turn when the unit was switched on and I had to help it by turning the blades manually until it ran. Then recently it stopped working even with my assistance. This is a $189 fan. I called Kincrome Australia and they said they can't help it's out of warranty. I said a $20 Kmart fan lasts longer than this expensive industrial fan. They suggested I take it to an electrical repairer. Thanks Kincrome, not buying anymore of your overpriced rubbish. You lost a loyal customer.

approx 51DBA average. This is significantly quieter that it's competitors whom are typically at least twice as noisy on low speed. The two screws that allow adjustment were most rusty and not set screws, nor Allen head. They were screw driver head Phillips and also a groove for a flat screwdriver. The locking screw (for the option of not using the sweep function) was rusted solid, and due to the soft metal that was used for the screw; it "rounded off" easily. It became impossible to adjust from rounding and when I attempted to drill out this screw to enable the thread to be re tapped; it work hardened and became impossible to drill the locked screw out. Other than the crappy rusted locking screw, product is excellent quality, too. Plus a 3 year warranty.

do with it. It take a little of puzzle solving to get all the functions; but it's not rocket science. The reason I review it today is because I wanted to give one to my grand kids and their parents. I can see it for almost $40 but have no idea how much I paid for mine. Until then I had flimsy cheap tools that you sometimes could exchange the ends for a straight or curved need... ONTO THE REVIEW!
First, have a look at my attached photos. The orange handle kit is what I'm reviewing here, however, I also make references to the two other Kincrome T-Handle sets that I've owned and used for years. I've included an image of all three kits, just to verify my claims. Please forgive the sawdust, I'm in the middle of fixing the roof of my garage... and a lot has collected up in the rafters. :-)
WHY DID I CHOOSE ANOTHER KINCROME SET?
I wouldn't say that I'm some brand loyalist "fan boy". I honestly believe that no manufacturer is "the best" across their entire product line. Frankly, I buy what works for me, and don't worry about what brand it is... unless that brand has a bit of a negative reputation.
However, I bought the Kincrome "Tamperproof TORX" kit because I've owned the Kincrome metric hex (blue handle set) and imperial hex (red handle set) "T handled" kits for years now, and been very happy with them.
I (just speaking for myself here) am not critical of other brands.... I just find the balance of Kincrome's T-handled hand tools to be notably more comfortable to handle and spin in my hand than the other brands (TTI/Snap on/Park Tools and any all-plastic-handled equivalent) that I've used in various workplaces. Naturally, I think they all work, it's just that fancier brands have much higher prices that aren't bringing in any additional value to me, and cheaper brands... haven't lasted quite as well, or feel "off" when I'm using them. Your mileage, WILL probably vary.
That said...
I've just added this "Tamperproof" Torx kit to my workshop because I'm dealing with more normal Torx and Tamperproof Torx (the Torx head with the hole in the middle) fasteners, and would like to use the same kit on either interchangeably. The "tamper proof" kit can do both, unlike the green-handled "Torx only" set (no hole in the middle of the head) Kincrome provides. The green-handled kit comes with the same range of head sizes as the "Tamper proof" Torx kit with the orange handles reviewed here, and without the hole weakening the head, the green kit might may help the bit to apply additional torque and perhaps last longer, but it does make the plain Torx kit less versatile overall.
That said, the longer shaft lengths on these tools across the entire Kincrome T-handle range... are a bit of a "double edged sword". They're very long and can reach into some deep spaces, which is very handy. However, if the shaft is too long for your space.... it's not going to work well. A lot of brands have a second head embedded into the end of the T handle for "tighter spaces"... and this kit does NOT feature that, so please keep this in mind. However, I have the standard L-shaped allen/hex keys and Torx sets for this purpose. So if you already have those, then this is not an issue.
After much thought... I can't fault a tool for being really good at doing things the way it's intended to. So I won't deduct any stars for that, despite the limitations that long shafts and balanced handles might create.
KINCROME IS MORE EXPENSIVE THAN SOME BRANDS, SO WHY CHOOSE THEM?
I've put my metric set "through the wringer" on bikes/motorbikes/CNC machines/lab instruments/Ikea furniture and many more. They're still in almost immaculate condition. This is in part, due to the long shaft, because even slight angles off-centre can get you around other obstacles without incurring too much additional wear and tear on the head.
If you look after your gear, then they'll last a long time. I use my imperial set mostly for servicing compound archery bows, which places some serious tension on the screws I NEED to keep tight (lest injury befall me, since I test the bows I service). Honestly, my imperial set look as new, even now after nearly a decade of use.
I can't say that the Torx set is guaranteed to last from experience, but that's only because I only recently got them, but I've already used all but the T10 (apparently I don't have anything that small) and they were comfortable to use and worked well so far.
In short, I really like the kit, they work well for me, and if anything changes, I'll update this review.
All the best in your workshop endeavours! Harmo.
Solid product, hope i never have to use them – Heavy duty, looks fit for purpose, quick delivery, well-packaged. Straight into the truck's storage toolbox. Good insulation, heavy duty clamps. Inline test and alarm unit is well-constructed. Hope I never have to use them.
