This printer produces very good results with sharp and accurate colour prints. Copying is equally good. However, there is one serious flaw which is… Read more

not disclosed in the technical data or even in the operating downloads until you try to set up the printer. The scanning function does NOT support Mac computers at all. No Mac scanning software is available from Kyocera. There are two possibilities: Use the Mac built-in application of Preview (which has a scanning function) or use the Image Capture app, also built in to the Mac system. This is a clunky solution and a cop out in my opinion and is unworthy of Kyocera. They provide Windows scanning software only. You can make it work but Kyocera should provide bespoke software for Mac users. It’s just something to be aware of so that you do not waste hours trying to get the scanning function to work with (non-existent) Kyocera software.

Kyocera Model TASKalfa 3554ci is a great machine until there is a software programming/non hardware issue. I have many years of experience in the IT… Read more

industry but feel very inadequate with this machine. Support is fine if you are okay with outdated documentation. Just get your IT Support people to fix it is the resounding recommendation from KYOCERA support which is not a luxury a Not For Profit church or organization has. We can send someone but will be at your cost. Never even went there!!! Yes I finally have resolved the issue but there goes many days of my life I will never get back thanks KYOCERA. Will never recommend to anyone I care for.

Cartridges too expensive – Print Cartridges are hugely expensive. It will only print and scan via the internet. I don't know why but I was told that this is the way it is. So… Read more

if the internet is down, it won't scan or print to my PC.

Only 18 months old and it got zapped in a recent thunderstorm. The communication card ifailed.

It was no value to trade in or not viable to fix.

The new Kyocera MFP wont take my Toner Cartridges. I am stuck with about $1,000 worth of spare cartridges.

So bought a new MFP of another brand.

Apart from all of the above, it did work very well.
