Inside is rusty – I love the look of this kettle and it was my Christmas present last year. Within a few months it started getting spots inside despite my emptying it… Read more

and drying it. I feel I've been ripped off. I have just ordered a Judge stainless steel kettle for less than half the price. Noone wants to drink coffee with bits of enamel in the cup. Very disappointed.

Was great for 5 years – Just non-stick gradually started to lose its non-stick quality in the middle - making French omelettes very hard. It was the only thing I use this… Read more

pan for and was now getting less stick with carbon steel, so this pan was non longer used at all.

Reading around, it seems to be the case that quality non-sticks from all manufacturers do start to lose their effectiveness around this time, despite exemplary treatment (no steal, scourers, dishwashers, high heat with nothing in pan,...). No flaking or surface blemishing - the omelette just wouldn't slide like it used to. It's really the only reason you'd tolerate non-stick given the extra precautions it requires.

Fortunately Le Creuset honored the lifetime guarantee on it and replaced it. So rating this given an expected non-stick life of 5 years.

Le Creuset cast iron — mostly indestructible (except one rebel skillet). I’ve had several Le Creuset cast iron pieces for decades — a skillet, 20 cm… Read more

casserole, 30 cm shallow casserole, and 28 cm oval baker — and overall they’ve been incredibly reliable. - The 20 cm casserole and 28 cm oval baker are absolute workhorses. Same age as the skillet and still fabulous — cook evenly, clean up well, and just keep going year after year. Proper “buy once” pieces. - The 30 cm shallow casserole is newer and has quickly become a favourite. Super versatile, cooks beautifully evenly, and handles everything from braises to one-pan dinners. Honestly, I reach for it constantly — love it. Now, the skillet… this one’s been the problem child. Food has always tended to stick, despite trying different oils and being told it’s all about temperature control. Maybe so — but my other cast iron pans behave perfectly, so who knows. More recently, the enamel chipped, which ended its career. That said — full marks to Le Creuset customer service. Even though the skillet was way out of warranty, they offered a very generous discount as a goodwill gesture, and a compensatory item arrived within days. Impressive service and much appreciated. Overall: one troublesome skillet, but several outstanding pieces that have lasted for decades. I still love Le Creuset cast iron — and their customer service absolutely deserves credit.

Ordered a casserole online and quickly asked to refund as it wasn't specifically the product we wanted. The ordered had already been shipped but… Read more

online customer service acted promptly and was amazing to talk to. They recalled/rerouted the product and refunded us the amount when it arrived back at their warehouse. We initially had other cast irons and casseroles and upgraded to Le Cresset ones and have been pleasantly surprised at how amazing they look/feel and the quality of them. Have since bought 4 more in store after our first! Highly recommend for buying long term. You won't regret it as long as you properly look after it.

very dissatisfied…does not last long – we paid a lot for this pan , close to $500 , maybe 8 years ago believing we were buying something long lasting …..no it is not,…has hot spots and… Read more

burns food in middle ….a cheap regular cast iron , a fraction of the price that we paid for this supposedly top quality product does a better job ….i don’t use it anymore and how stupid i feel for investing my money is supposedly a pan that would last you 25 plus years as cast iron … i hate it now as just burns food …rubbish …

Should have read the review beforehand – Similar to the other reviews, this is our 6th piece of Le Creuset, 6 months from when the warranty expired, the enamel peeled off. Sent off the… Read more

photos and email Le Creuset, they redirect us to the store where we bought it. After to and fro (emails) being told they won’t replace the stockpot claiming the damage was due to overheat, we have been using it the same way for 4 years. How do you overheat water in a stockpot???

Poor quality – The base has corroded from the inside to the outside and has now made a permanent mark on our induction cooktop. When I took it to Le Creuset they… Read more

implied it was my fault for using the boost setting. Ultimately they replaced it because of corrosion around the lid, so now I use a medium setting and it takes about 15 mins to boil. They also said you shouldn’t leave excess water in it - so basically you need to treat this kettle like a fragile commodity. I own a lot of Le creuset products and have always been so impressed by the quality but needless to say I’m pretty disappointed with the kettle. Looks good but that’s about it.

Defective goods received – It’s incredible Le cruest sent me defective goods with black mark which no one will buy at shop!I contacted Le cruest with no feedback. Poor shopping experience at Le cruest website.

completely rusted inside the kettle – My kettle has rusted completely, and apparently, Le Creuset rejected the warranty of the kettle, (this is through a third party). the kettle is supposed to be a warranty for 5 years and I certainly didn't expect rust to show up after a year.

Excellent Le Creuset Grill Pan – The Le Creuset 26cm Iron Grill Pan is a game-changer. It cooks evenly and leaves and stunning grill marks. It's also easy to clean. Plain cast iron… Read more

is far better than the coated kind - which I've had a few of over the years, they may be cheaper but they chip, and then go rusty.

My advice is to splash out and buy this pan, which will last you a lifetime.

Rust in kettle – I am sad to say that I wouldn’t buy any of Le creuset kettles or products. Their warranty is not worth the paper it’s written on.

Nice Cups but Poorly Made – Our Le Creuset cups developed dark grey lines around the inside rim soon after purchasing them. We purchased many and so contacted Le Creuset. On… Read more

inspection, their quality control team said it was from stirring with teaspoons. This is ridiculous as such marks would then appear at the bottom of the cup not around the top inner rim. In the end, we think the marks were from the green/yellow sponge we used when washing up as the rough side seems to be scratching the inner surface, even though the tag that comes with the cup says to use a scourer on the product where necessary. Now we only use a very soft sponge to wash them and not the dishwasher. The cups are made in both China & Thailand. The fault mostly affected the cups from China. Obviously the manufacturing quality control is poor. Le Creuset replaced the cups but the same issue has returned on some cups despite the extra care. Their Le Creuset website says that their 'glazed stoneware is scratch resistant'. I expected a better quality product from Le Creuset but the brand is obviously not what it was. We would not buy Le Creuset again based on our experience and the quality control team's guesswork as to the cause of the damage.

Not worth the expense – If I could give -stars I would. I purchased four signature stainless steel saucepans. Upon first use of two of the saucepans filled both with water,… Read more

boiled it, placed in vegetables and 1/2 teaspoon of salt. This is where everything went wrong. Such expensive items they pitted. Took them back to retailer where I purchased. She took notes and told me the Le Creuset assessor would be coming into the store to look at them. This company took no responsibility what so ever, the assessor viewed them and said it was not a manufacturing fail. How she can have X-ray vision and look through 3ply stainless steel and determine this, she should be working for NASA. This assessor could not ring me from store as she could not record me (like a criminal) if I wanted to I had to ring Le Creuset where my conversation would be recorded. Be warned the saucepans are not of a great standard. The brand in my opinion is not customer friendly or focussed. It has lost me. Never ever purchase from Le Creuset. Look elsewhere for cheaper and better saucepans.

Place into oven and I was surprised the bread came out crispy. Even when the lid was on the whole time. Well worth it, definitely a keeper. Plus they come in so many colours.
