I have been a fan of Lego and Star Wars since I was a child and was excited to purchase my brother a Lego Star Wars gift for his birthday. I wanted… Read more

to get him something nice so I spent $129 on a Millennium Falcon for him. I did not think for one moment that a set at that price wouldn't come with a smart brick especially given that the Red 5 model at the same price comes with one. Imagine my dissapointment when I did realise after he unwrapt and we realised we couldnt use any of the smart features without buying a completely different kit. Spoiled the whole thing. Very dissapointed.

30 years with CGU and treated like crap when time to claim – i am a home owner who has had several insurance home policies with CGU for over 30 years, including an investment property, in March 2020 i had a… Read more

claim for a shower leak that damaged the waterproofing and flooring, they sent 1, then another, then another then another inspector / assessor, to inspect the damage, as the doorway had a tile inside the hall/bathroom doorway they claimed that, they wouldn’t fix any water damage past the bathroom? Apparently the water only damages the area where it started. ( it doesn’t go into other rooms) Yep you heard right. CGU got a builder who gave a quote and it was adjusted 3 times as each inspector form this building firm kept forgetting to list all the things that needed fixing, after getting a quote they asked me to accept the cash offer. I refused as the 2 quotes I had were 6K dearer, so I would had to fork out a further 6K to have the issues dealt with, The reason is CGU quotes were juste quotes they didn’t come with a 7 or 10 year guarantee, the other 2 quotes did????? They didn’t believe there was damage outside the bathroom, so I pulled up the tiles and the 3rd inspector ( honest through inspector) stated that on her report, But CGU claim they are only responsible for fixing the timber floor under the tiles not replacing the tiles, I have given them notice that I will be contacting ACA (nine ) in 7 days and taking legal action after that same period, I will fix it properly and then charge them to do it, and get cost in court. My question is how many building contractors do CGU hire that don’t sign off on there work or give the standard building 7 year guarantee, ask this if you ever need a repair, all quality builder should supply it I will keep you all posted, I want to bombard all forums about this terrible service Terry

Good – My 4 yr old was given one of these for his 3rd birthday and is still playing with it almost constantly. The only problem is the one my son has, has… Read more

interchangeable weapons, but taking them on and off to change them weakens the ball and socket type joint that is used to attach them, and one of these joints broke on the 2nd day of being played with. Two other joints are now broken, but this does not diminish the enjoyment my son gets from this toy. Great toys, great for the imagination, but being the Lego brand, I thought it would hold up better without breaking. My boy loves these, they are easily available, lets kids use their imagination The hand and foot joints are easily broken

My son loves it – My 8 year old son loves the variety of cool characters and enjoys creating designs he likes. I ordered it via online and got it quick. Great buy for me.

A fun challenge – A fun build with some challenges. Thoroughly enjoyable and satisfying to complete. Looks amazing when light is rotating. Details are many and accurate. Would recommend to any Lego enthusiast. A+

A must have for any Lord of the Rings fan! – This is a beautifully crafted set. As a huge fan of Lord of the Rings, Rivendell was one of my favourite locations, both in the way it was described… Read more

in the books, and how it was portrayed in the movies. I was eager to see if the Lego set could deliver on the many fine, intricate details of this setting, and to my surprise, it did! From the colour palette through to the architecture and overall design of the set, this was a sight to behold once it was built, and a joy to make. There was around 6167 pieces to this set, and it took me around 5 days (roughly 3 hours a day) to build it. I am certainly not a quick builder, and I deliberately took my time with this, as it had a few intricate aspects to it, such as the tiling on the roof, which I wanted to ensure was done correctly, rather than rushed. I was also mindful that although this set came with some lovely printed/patterned tiles for some of the flooring, there were other parts of the set that required actual stickers to be placed on pieces, and this task always requires a steady hand to place them accurately. I would say this set had more stickers than any previous sets I have made…but it is a large set. The trees in this set were possibly my favourite things, with lovely autumnal colours and nicely structured trunks. I also loved that this came with around 15 minifigures, which can be displayed as you like, throughout the set, or removed if you just want to display the setting itself. In terms of its size, it’s not a small set…you do need a bit of space for this. It’s measurements, as per the Lego site, are as follows: H: 16" (39cm) W: 29" (72cm) D: 20" (50cm)

By far, one of the best features to this is the little easter egg of the lego Eye of Sauron, that lies beneath the ring platform, in the Council of Elrond area. Really nice touch!

All in all, this was a detailed and fun build, and I love the set. The main drawback was the price of the set. At $799.99 which is what I paid, it was incredibly expensive. This is the most expensive set I own, and I almost didn’t get it because of the price. For me, it’s a once in a lifetime set though…and it does look beautiful. If you are a Lord of the Rings Fan, a Lego fan, and you can get past the price of this…it’s definitely going to be a great collectors piece with good playability as well.
