iPad to record the audio portion of pencasts. I then purchased the echo to provide the audio recording feature, but now the transcription capability is lost. Livescribe have a great hardware concept with very poor software implementation. Not having audio recording is buyer beware, not being able to transcribe in the desktop app is a serious failing of the software. It is also not possible to move journals between Livescribe+ and Echo Desktop, another major failing as I was part way through a journal and could not import it into desktop once I changed to the echo Desktop software.
