Maxwell & Williams
I bought 10 pieces of everything in the cashmere rim dinner plates, entree plates, bread and butter plates and bowls. I’ve just noticed today that… Read more
the bread and butter plates and some of the dinner plates are doing the same thing. The glaze is gone all Motley. I’ve tried cleaning it and it won’t come off so I’m going to have to dig around for the receipts and take them back to Myer I guess or I’ll contact Maxwell Williams direct.
I bought the white sauce and saucer plates. Absolute rubbish. They’re NOT dishwasher safe. The top glaze has worn out after only a year of purchase… Read more
so food stains them and they come out dirty after dishwashing. Cheap nasty stuff. Never buying from this company again.
Long term daily user of Maxwell & Williams Madison Cutlery – In 2007 I bought an eight-place setting of Maxwell & Williams Madison Cutlery to use as an everyday set. Over time I have added to it as I found it… Read more
to be a good quality set, first I moved up to 12 place setting. Recently (July 2024) I decided to upgrade to 16 place settings and purchased loose pieces from Myer. After seventeen years of daily use and being washed in the dishwasher the only difference between the pieces is that the new ones are highly polished whilst the older pieces looked like brushed stainless steel with a matte finish. I couldn’t be happier with the quality of this cutlery.
Shiny light weight cutlery that has a sharp edge at the top of the handles – The Maxwell & Williams cosmopolitan cutlery set has a lot of really good reviews. I wrote my review and it wasn't published, so I now know that… Read more
only positive reviews are being published by some retailers. This isn't honest.
The cutlery looks lovely on the computer screen and it is well packaged and presented.
The problem is that the spoons and forks have a sharpish edge at the top of the handles and I immediately felt this scrapping my hand when I used them. After that it became even more noticeable.
As a result I have put the cutlery back into the box and I am seeking a full refund.
I think you need to see and handle cutlery to make a proper buying decision.
I won't be buying Maxwell & Williams brand in the future.
Update: I returned the cutlery set to the store and the sales person agreed, upon inspecting the… Read more
Unacceptably fragile, lose heat quickly. Look good though. So I recommend for display cabinet use only. I've lost 7 of 8 saucers now - and that's… Read more
after buying another two cup and saucers to get more saucers as they aren't sold separately.
Dinner party or other situation where the cup is left on the saucer for an hour or two - the saucer will stick to the lifted cup for about and inch or two, then drop and crack.
Child or pet knock a cup off the coffee - 40cm drop to soft wooden floor - gone.
Also lose heat very quickly - so prewarming with boiling water mandatory if steaming milk where you can't go high enough in temperature to cater. Espresso machine cup warmers aren't enough.
Review about the 250 mL cups, however the 400 mL mugs are even worse, as knock those over on a stone benchtop and goodbye. I haven't lost one in a dishwasher yet from something hitting it, but I pack very cautiously.,
Should be recalled, and explains why Myer has half price sales on them so often.
I live this set! – I love this set, it is elegant and classy. I have recently found it hard to purchase additional sets though as the style has changed to a wavy square… Read more

Bought this Maxwell & Williams Stovetop Espresso Maker and found it very bad in quality. Obviously it was cheaper than the best ones but I thought it… Read more
would be good but my guess was wrong. I would not recommend anyone waste their money on this inferior product. Its lightweight and made from a thin metal...aluminium I guess which changes the taste of the coffee. I am really disappointed with Maxwell & Williams to introduce such a bad product. I would think twice in buying Maxwell & Williams again. If you after a good Stovetop Espresso Maker go for a good quality brand like Bialetti which makes great coffee and is made from heavy stainless steel and not cheap metal.
A perfect universal serving spoon – This is marketed as a stainless steel rice spoon, but I am finding I use it for all of my serving purposes. Not used for rice in my case, but it… Read more
would be great for rice too.
It is lightweight, weighted well in the handle to serve wide or non-wide items onto plates, and can easily be used for meats, fish, pastas, salads, fruit, vegetables, deserts, and sauces (pretty much everything). I originally bought 2, but have recently purchased 2 more. The handle itself is larger at the base, so is easy to grip and hold.
A great kitchen item which wears extremely well - it has not tarnished over time.
Images online don't do it justice - only one image seems available, which is not a great one, which I've added in this review.
Crap. Tongs are stainless steel but the spring inside is low grade steel which corrodes in less than a year, Tongs are then useless. This has happened to both tong I purchased.
