I've had my Mistral air fryer for 2 months now, it works very well, cooks evenly and is easy to clean. Not sure why there's not as many good reviews.… Read more

I wanted a cheap one to trial using airfryers. I practically use it everyday & cook all sorts if things in it. I have found I used much less oil & power. I soak for a short while in hot soapy water *in the basket not in sink, then ckean and rinse, then you dont have to scrub & wear the coating. I also use baking paper for some things. I love my airfryer. I will get a larger one when this finally ceases working. Plus I got it on special at Woolies

Great – My wife has been using smaller fryers almost daily so she thought she would try the larger 10litre one from Mistral. Loves it and wishes she grabbed it earlier. Easy to use, easy to wash

Living remotely I have started sewing again thanks to the Mistral sewing machine I bought for $99 from Australia Post. It has been more than adequate… Read more

to experiment with. I have even succeeded in making some lightweight quilts. With care, the machine managed the quilt ‘sandwich’ - two layers of quality cotton (top and backing) and a light middle layer of polyester batting. I then quilt by hand. It is not a heavy duty machine but great for hobby sewing and craft.

buy now is in a 'Throw Away Society'. Changed my mind fairly fast because money doesn't grow on trees, especially mine and I'm so glad I did because I bought a Mistral 1.7 litre kettle from Woolworths last night for $39 and fairly happy with it. Thanks Mistral.

Simply Brilliant – Sorry to read that reviewer mikerv had what seems to be a dud machine and little back up support from Mistral. My experience of the machine has been… Read more

the opposite, however I can't speak for back up service as I haven't needed any, so probably keep that in mind. Had the machine for over 6 months now and it has been given an absolute flogging by my husband who would make 4 to 6 cups of latte type coffee a day. I have used multiple coffee machines over the years ( all reviewed) with varying degrees of success. I avoided the capsule type as I didn't like the idea of consuming something that involved steaming water penetrating plastic and then having to dispose of more plastic. So when they changed the capsules to alluminum I decided to give them a go. It heats up blindingly quick, we are talking a couple of minutes. We use Lavazza capsules but any brand of similar size will do ( if the box the capsules come in says 'capatable with Nespresso coffee makers' then you are good to go). Extremely simple to use: fill the water compartment, turn it on, wait for the flashing light on the front to stop flashing and then press the button of the size of cup you want. Both sizes are quite small so we pick the larger size and use the strongest coffee capsule to get a full bodied brew with a decent amount of crema (see photo). The result is a warm and close to a good quality barista coffee. However if you like your coffee hot you will have to zap it in the microwave. I like mine somewhere in the middle of luke warm and hot so I only zap mine for 10 seconds and I can't detect any change in the flavour or quality of the coffee. We then add the whipped milk from our Expressi milk frother (see my review). It has paid for itself in coffee already and if it lasts for another 6 months it will have been well worth the purchase price. Bought from an Australia Post agent $99. Pros: so far the best "cheap" coffee machine I have used. Fool proof to operate due to being a capsule machine, fits all capsules that fit Nespresso machines, slim design so takes up little benchtop space and produces quality barista type coffee. Cons: coffee only warm so if you like your coffee hot may not be suitable for you.

Bought this from Woolworths because my other one, not a Mistral died after 2 years. Now this Mistral did not say high lift and neither of the others… Read more

at Woolworths did so just grabbed this one as it's box was taller than any of the others. Now it does seem to be a high lift, well compared to the dead one at home which was supposed to be one, no more burning my fingers grabbing out my raisin bread. It toasts quite well and evenly on both sides. The whole toaster seems a little flimsy but then my better feeling brand one I had did feel stronger and it died after 2 years and cost $40 back then and this one was $25, so let's see how long this one lasts. But so far I like it way better than the last toaster I had.

Moisture Sensor an absolute bonus – Have had this tumble dryer in excess of 12 months and it's still working perfectly. The feature that senses moisture determines whether the dryer… Read more

continues tumbling or not, othwerwise you can over-ride this with manual timers.

If I were to point out at least one constructive comment about the appliance, it would be that the drying selection dial descriptions are not intuitive. For example, under the Section for Cottons, there are 5 options, namely:

a. Extra b. Cupboard + c. Image of a product tag d. Damp e. Iron

It may have been better perhaps to simply state the options as:

a. Bathrobe, towelling clothes, jeans and work clothes b. Bathrobe, towelling clothes, jeans and work clothes c. Shirt, T shirt, cotton trousers d. Knitted items, cotton shirt e. Sheet, bed linen, table linen, startched laundry

Another thing to note is that most household laundry loads are made up of a variety of textiles, and you may find some items over dried (causing shrinkage, like a woollen jumper). I don't think any dryer can accommodate for this, so if the load contains sensitive materials, avoid the hot settings generally required for Cotton.

Tall bread needs flipping – Mistrial long slot toaster. Good toast colour. High top bread stands tall out of slots when slide down function is lowered. No lift preview during cook, need to cancel and recook, risks burning toast. Good for price.

Best fan I've ever had – I received this fan for Father's Day, have only used it a few times, but I can honestly say this is the best fan I have ever had. And the mist spray is an added bonus, puts moisture back in the air and cools down even more. What more can I say.
