Oxo
I am really unimpressed with this range, they are not airtight and my goods are going stale within weeks. For the price they are charging I would expect a high quality product. Don't buy them!
Leaves allot of garlic un-crushed – Great quality, love Oxo equipment generally but this one we put in the Op Shop because it wastes so much garlic by not crushing it fully. It’s a good size and rest to clean.
We just cannot get this to work – Several people in my family have tried to make this jar opener work. Admittedly, it doesn't come with any instructions so we may be getting it… Read more
utterly wrong, but that's a number of adults who cannot make it function. It just doesn't seem to have *room* for most jar lids to slot into it. I think once it actually worked on a lid with a lot of effort, but then it really scratched up the lid.
Doesn't work; no instructions to enlighten.
Single use at best can opener – I managed to open one can of dog food and about 15 degrees of a Fray Bentos pie lid before these can openers were literally falling to pieces. More cheap (wasn't even that cheap) rubbish fromTesco.

products that I have been happy with, so when I saw the OXO 5 pound Kitchen scales advertised on the internet I checked a lot of reviews on YouTube & felt confident that it would fit my needs. I chose the basic plastic model rather than the more expensive stainless steel model. The scale measures in 1 gram increments, which is good enough for most kitchen needs. I regularly use it for measuring my espresso coffee ground doses & it gives very consistent, stable readings around 20g. The digital readout is very easy to see & the screen can be easily pulled out of the scales to allow you to use larger containers & still see the readout. The readout is held in place with magnets. The scales are easy to clean with a damp cloth & the flat design, without any grooves etc. to collect spilt flour or liquids etc., help in this respect. A useful feature, which many other scales share, is the 'Tare' function. For example, if you have a bowl on the scale, you simply press the Tare button & the scale will read zero. It is then easy to add any ingredients, without having to allow for the weight of the bowl. Once you have added the ingredient you can the press Tare again & add the next ingredient & so on. I would recommend the OXO Good Grips 5 Pound Food Scales.
HAPPY WITH OXO EXCEPT THEIR EXTENSION DUSTER – I recently had delivered more OXO products which I usually love. The extension duster cover will not clip on to the handle and it rides up when you… Read more
are trying to use is. I HAVE TWO OTHER OXO NON EXTENSION dusters which I am very happy with and the other dust covers fit the extension. The duster cover is not like the others in that it is thin, gaps at the top of the duster showing material and wont clip on.
Disappointed – Well, what a disappointment. I thought this product was to dry the salads etc. It spins so slowly, that I had to resort to paper toweling. Silly me. I should have read the reviews. I will return it !!!
Was great till it stopped working in just 14 months – Loved the timer, easy to use with the one hand , nice and stable on kitchen bench. Loved the three timers, so useful. After 11 month one of the… Read more
timers stopped working, but still good with two. Then three months later the whole timer ceased to function. At first thought it was the batteries and changed them despite them being only recently replaced. I have other Oxo products and expected this timer to last longer. Hate to add to the ever increasing amount of plastic rubbish pile.
Excellent until it exploded – I was delighted with this pitter when I bought it, which was admittedly in 2021. But after two years of loyal service it exploded. I heard a muffled… Read more
bang from the kitchen, opened the drawer and there it was, in pieces. I'm thankful it didn't go off in my hand, that spring looks lethal. RIP pitter RIP.
works every time – I've had this can opener for a year & it never fails , it leaves a smooth edge on the can & is easy to turn the handle. Its a good quality opener.
Not fit for purpose – Purchased 9th Dec 2021 from Amazon & used occasionally (just to see if it was as bad as the last time I used it) Briefly this 'V' blade design isn't… Read more
good. The comments are based on 'trying' to slice the humble potato. The blade tends to 'tear' rather than slice...it's sharp but the design isn't at all good. The slice is then pushed forward under the machine where 'wedges' into the area containing the additional blades. Extremely frustrating to slice then stop to remove the wedged slice. (I'll try an add a photo, it maybe easier to understand)...these are my major issues & I rate this machine 'not fit for purpose' because of those issues. The other problems which are minor (but shouldn't happen) the plastic body (white) will stain, carrots will stain this unit, hate to think what beetroot would do to it. The symbols for cutting heights etc markings will be smudged/removed by a wipe with a cloth...this has never been in the dishwasher which would surley remove any markings that are remaining. I would avoid & look for something simple with a straight blade. This thing is over complex & fails in its excecution of slicing a humble potato...in fact if anyone wants to reply to this & wants this unit, I am more than happy for you to come & collect it. I'll try some photos & see how we go to help with my explanation.

less messy than swapping grill plates. The finest one does the most delicious, silky mashed potatoes. Also great for smashed avocado and fruit puree. The bottom grill can be twisted off and removed to make cleaning easy. Handles are nice and long for leverage. Although it takes up a bit of room to store, once you've tried mashed potatoes through a ricer, you'll never look back. Potatoes that are mashed are always lumpy and tacky. I steam potatoes with the skin on until cooked, then peel the skin off and put them through the ricer while they're still warm. Add a heap of salted butter and freshly cracked black pepper for the most heavenly mash.

photos you imagine the head of the spoon is silicon while it's steel covered with a layer of silicone which means that it's not soft enough that can bend. I won't use it for starting solids for my baby but it will be good for the time she is a bit older and knows exactly how to use a spoon.

There are better and cheaper mashers out there but not on Amazon! – I like the handle and the fact it can be used in non-stick saucepans - that is about as far as it goes. I have been looking to replace my old masher… Read more
for a while as the handle is going manky. I have generally been a really big fan of the OXO GoodGrips and have both types of potato peeler and a number of other GoodGrips items - but the masher is a real let down it was also not particularly cheap. It requires significant force to push the potato through as it does not have a bevelled end, the potato gets stuck between the teeth, when trying to bash against the pan to dislodge potato, instead of falling into the pan the potato goes everywhere making an atrocious mess! Lastly, despite putting significant amounts of effort in I had to go and blast my last mash at the end with the old masher because it was still lumpy! Good news if you are in Australia, Coles "Cook & Dine" masher is great and only costs about $5.20! (I have also written a review on productreview.com.au for this Masher)
The best tongs I have ever used – OXO Good Grips tongs are the best tongs I have ever used; the ones I purchased are the 41cm BBQ tongs (16" in the old money) so as to keep my hands… Read more
away from the blistering BBQ heat. Are they cheap? No. What they are, however, is well-engineered, solid, comfortable and designed to last.
Well-engineered because the tong arms do not mis-align like the cheap ones. Solid because the metal used is much thicker than the cheap ones. Comfortable because they have a soft silicone pad on each of the arms, which also serves as heat protection. Designed to last because of everything mentioned; they will probably outlast your BBQ.
They have a convenient locking ring at the top where the arms meet, which you push in or pull out to lock and unlock.
The only improvement I can think of would be to have the hanging ring in the centre of the locking device a bit wider; it doesn't fit my existing BBQ hanging hooks. These go on sale online occasionally, so the next time you see them on sale, grab some.
I bought 1 with scale on inside correct but was 30ml out on the outside. I got a warranty replacement and its worse.17ml on the inside, 14ml on the outside.Very disappointed.
