Broke after 5 months – After owning a Twin turbo 2600 for 20+ Years it finally died. So on the net i went to buy another Twin turbo because of its durablity (I had dropped… Read more

it many times over the years, accidentally of course) and it didnot once let me down. But i stupidly decided to purchase a Parlux 3800. It worked fine and did the job but nothing special except for the colour was Aquamarine. On holidays my daughter went to pull a plush toy out of my over night bag ( that was on the floor mind you) and as she pulled it out, the parlux followed and dropped on the floor. The fan on the inside detached from the body and when I turned it on, it made a squeeking noise. I emailed the online shop i bought it from and they followed up on the waranty for me. To which I receive a response that " Unfortunatly, our Waranty doesnt cover user's damage at this stage and Alternatively they can contact our affiliated repair centre" How very disapointing that a hairdryer that costs $300+ cant even withstand the smallest of drops. 5 MONTHS it lasted people. Buy the twin Turbo, any model people its more durable and works if not better than the Parlux. Save your money and dont buy the Parlux for its asthetics. I wish i had of gone with my first instincts. So do i spend $100+ on posting it to the repair centre and fixing it or spend $120 on a brand new Twin Turbo that will last me another 20years?? Twin Turbo it is. Im so diapointed!!!! Dont do it.

It's ok but I expected more for the money – It's been a few years and I got this as a powerful compact hair dryer to go away with me on work trips. It takes a lot longer to dry hair than I wanted.

I don't recommend this product. Paying the price for it that I paid (not cheap) I expected a lot more than what I actually got. The buttons are large… Read more

and dig in to your hands while the hair dryer is in use, so it makes for painful usage and constantly having to rejuggle how the hair dryer is held. My hair isn't overly long and it took more than 30 minutes to dry it from towel dry to actually dry... I got so sick of waiting for it to all dry and left the ends damp. The accessories BURN. They got SO HOT they actually burn your hands. I used one and had to remove it with a cloth and it stayed hot for too long before it could be touched. I think the only thing "Eco Friendly" about this product is the no frills box that it comes in.

Don't waste your money – I bought this after my parlux 3800 blew up expecting it to be more powerful as recommended by pretty much every hair supplier sales person but it was… Read more

no where near as good. It left my hair dull and drying time was the same even though it was stated on the parlux site that it would reduce drying time and is more powerful. I should have just stuck to the 3800 and save my money as it was almost double the price.
