in bait and tackle snapping off. Recently the screws holding the bail arm to the reel have loosened and the line has snagged between the arm and reel resulting in frayed line and having to discard tens of meters of line. I won't be using the reel again and don't recommend it. Rather spend a bit more on a better quality reel.

(repair kits are available but if you've never done it before it's a bit dodgy and the rod will never be 100%). This happened just two months out of warranty and customer service, if you want to call it that, offered no support beyond quoting the policy and providing ear music. Considering competitors offer far longer warranties than 12 months (10 years for Shimano), I’ll be switching brands going forward.

casting of the beach or the jetty whether you be chasing garfish, mullet or small salmon from the beach this reel is great ,has a good rate of retrieve and is easy as to maintain ,a quick rinse after the day out and your ready to go next time ,need to grease it up well only 3 screws to remove the side plate to gain access to the internals no fancy 38 bearings to get sand and rubbish into just an honest fishing reel that gets the job done .

twist and warp when fighting a big fish. The price is low considering you're getting a metal framed reel and you will definitely get your money's worth from its long use. Metal body and solid construction. No warping in the reel frame when connected to a big fish. Smooth drag. Good line capacity and line lay. Infinite anti-reverse. Good priced. Its a little bit heavy so you wouldn't want to be holding it all day. Drag is not as smooth as a higher end reel but hardly noticeable.
