after 4½ years of light use (I live alone) the compressor failed. Given the happy chappy on the Quantum website with his 20-year-old unit, I wasn't impressed, and Quantum initially responded to my complaint about the 2-year warranty by encouraging me to send in a list of required details for consideration. But with no hot water I had to get the compressor replaced pronto, at half as much again as the unit originally cost, after which Quantum stopped responding. I now realize that I will never recoup through the lower running costs the extra capital cost of their unit over a simple immersion heater, not having taken into account the equipment failing. I would never deal with Quantum again after this experience.

for 3.5 years (until Jan 2026) when the compressor failed. Email Quantum and was received with their standard reply: 2 year warranty on electrical and compressor part, 5 year on tank. The challenged reply remained unanswered (terrible service). Just had the compressor changed for half the price of a new hot water heat pump system. I hope I won't regret this decision. One advice: stay away from Quantum Energy. Even the plumber who installed it said he has now learned the lesson with this company.
