Update: I don’t recommend getting one even if you win it in a raffle or given one in any other way. The movable rubber feet are so annoying that it… Read more

makes making coffee a frustrating event & I regret buying it. Original review. The thing that really annoys me are the rubber feet which have been glued on, not screwed in. The glue unsticks & the machine becomes a three legged wobbly machine, you are continually looking for that fourth leg to stick back onto the machine. Whereas the Gaggia, a similar product, screws the feet in. How much more time or expense would it have cost to screw the feet in? This may may sound petty but as it is not a cheap machine you expect the basics to be reliable. On this alone I cannot recommend buying it.

Rocky is good....but – I had a Rocky for years, teamed with an Expobar twin boiler and a Giotto Rocket espresso machine. Being a chronic GAS victim (Gear Acquisition… Read more

Syndrome) I made an upgrade to the Compak K3 Touch grinder. The difference was obvious and immediate. The first shot was a huge improvement over the Rocky. I didn’t believe such a difference was possible, but there you have it. The non removable hopper on the Rocky was often annoying. Friends with Mazzer grinders say I’d gain nothing upgrading from the Compak to a Mazzer. But they’re both way ahead of the good old Rocky.

Solid investment – The Rancilio Silvia Pro X has been an exceptional upgrade to my daily routine, providing consistently delicious cups of coffee. I think the… Read more

minimalist user-friendly interface would cater to both casual coffee drinkers and enthusiasts alike. I appreciate that it offers a variety of brewing options, allowing me to customize my morning coffee just the way I like it. My machine is scheduled to wake up prior to the morning alarm. Additionally, there is an automatic shut-off feature for energy efficiency when not in use. The performance of this machine is top-notch. The Silvia Pro X heats up quick-ish at around 20mins. The machine will notify me when the water is low. Unfortunately the same isn’t true for the drip tray filling up. Keep an eye on the drip tray! Overall dimensions aren’t bad considering the tech inside. The water reservoir allows for easy refilling without disrupting the machine's position on the counter top or operation while in use. Overall, this machine has exceeded my expectations in terms of performance, ease of use, design, and value. I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a reliable and versatile coffee machine.
