Best Value 4 burner on the market – This is by far the best value 4 burner bbq on the market. I'm a long time charcoal bbq user but recently added this Gas BBQ to my set up for… Read more
convenience.
I've used this 3-4 times a week for the last 6 months. I'm using it with LPG and I've only had to change the bottle twice. Really happy with the heat that comes off the burners (i get those steakhouse char lines). The Rotisserie burner and kit is great, I've done chicken wings, pork belly, butterflied chicken and the results are incredible. The BBQ comes with a grill and a solid plate that's also reversible. Burgers are a breeze along with whipping up a simple sausage sizzle!
It comes with all the mount brackets required and the cover is heavy duty.
Has some good lights in the in the body to help you see what your cooking.
Just make sure you season the cast iron grills with a canola oil or something similar before you use it. I give it a clean with some 3M stainless steel cleaner for the outside of the bbq to keep it in top condition. The drip tray gets washed in the sink and I give the grill and solid plate a scrape and wipe before each cook.
Really satisfied with this BBQ.
Great pizza oven at price point – Great pizza oven for backyard wood fired pizza. Heats up quickly. Holds heat fairly well, does need a re-stoke to get heat back into the base after an hour or so. Extremely happy with oven for the price. Cooked pizza perfectly.
This BBQ looks good on paper but is clearly plagued with quality issues. I bought it in January - the first unit had a faulty burner out of the box.… Read more
The replacement finally arrived weeks later… and then the light assembly failed the very first time I used it.
It's a sealed unit, not just a bulb, and can't be replaced easily. Arisit, the distributor, refuses to honour the warranty — calling it a "consumable" despite it failing instantly. They've ignored multiple emails and phone follow-ups. I’ve now had to escalate the issue to NSW Fair Trading just to get a resolution.
For a BBQ that costs $1700, the build quality is completely underwhelming and the support is nonexistent. Two faulty units in a row. Don't be fooled by the specs - there are better options out there with real support behind them.
Great start, didn't last long – When you spend $1000's on a BBQ you expect it last quite a long time, my previous $400 Jackaroo BBQ lasted probably 10 yrs. This "Smart" BBQ lasted… Read more
2.5yrs before the first burner rusted out. I believe i take quite good care of items like this BBQ, cleaning it on a regular basis, always covered, but obviously grease etc dripped onto a burner over time and when i cleaned it, noticed that the burner was rusting as was the one next to it. Next time i used the flame burnt through the rust and the burner was unusable. As it was 2.5yrs old, no warranty left, spoke to Arisit, they gave me the part number for a burner $15, but none in stock, i asked them to order 2, no response, emailed, response was yes we will order. After 2 mths pas, phone calls and emails, yes we will order, 10 months later no response. Gave up. Saved up for a Zieger and Brown Elite from BBQ Galore, used twice, noticed hood wasn't sitting correct, they have already logged a service call and told me a replacement hood would be sent out soon. Arisit customer service 0, BBQ galore, seems great so far (wait and see what happens with the hood). But when you spend $2,400 as in for the Smart BBQ you would expect parts to be available locally. I do not recommend this BBQ. It gets 1 star ONLY because the stainless steel is great.
